it's a great feeling right! that "ah ha" moment when you finally get over that hump that makes you feel like a champ, if only for an instant. that is the high i often chase... it's the reason why i kept fighting through until i learned to ollie, or until i learned to and experienced floating on powder snow, clearing that monster gap on my bmx as a kid, my dirt bike years later, etc...i think every hobby or thing i've super enjoyed has some hurdles in the learning similar to this.

I never got farther than an ollie and basic ramp stuff. Never could grind or do any of the cool kids stuff.
