i js had the realization that harry being childish is the result of him losing his childhood from the youngest age so when i read fics where harry's abuse is recognized and he's quote on quote "harry giggled like a child.. like an actual child" its the realization that he will never regain his childhood unless someone brings it too him bc a childhood to him is like a safe haven
I love your videos so much! Honestly, sometimes it makes me cry when I read the harry potter books and realize how absolutely shitty his childhood was.
I don’t think he hates Harry I think he hates more what he represents how Harry is the definition of someone who was affected by trauma and he knows he’s helpless to change how everything turned out for Harry despite coming to care for him which he also previously thought he couldn’t and views it as a weakness likely.
