same. now I can use my cuticle deck without any major problems since I can ride to my killer at all times. or my gc deck without being unable to stride because I didn't draw idealize.
Now if only there was a proper official online automated platform for the actual game of Vanguard Overdress, not some manual sim or mobile game that changes the rules. An Actual Cardfight!! Vanguard Video Game.

is it possible to have a grade 4 in your ride deck?
I last played Vanguard during the Legion era, and a bit of Stride era as well. Interesting how they added some of these new rules and cards. I might pick up the game again, kinda miss playing Vanguard.
Wish there's an online version like Master Duel though, to make the game more accessible. As I'm living abroad now, and I don't know much about the Vanguard community here, hahah.

@@xunhanliew4492 about 30 earth years. as the jump from OG to G bon cray as apparently around 300 years. and the gap from OG to G on earth was about 3. So yeah its likely Shin is alive.
Time works differently in space , so 3000 years in cray would only be 3 years on earth maybe idk .

Also, they don't even have a BASIC tutorial video. Just one each for Pendulums and Links which they haven't updated for years. It might take an hour to explain everything. (I'm not kidding).

They just announced a brand new game "CARDFIGHT VANGUARD! DearDays (DD)" for STEAM & Nintendo Switch for the end of this year!! HYPED
Been playing ygo forever, just yesterday i bought 3 of the new starters to get into vangaurd. Lets see how this goes. Getting into Weiss Schwarz and Wixoss aswell.
Ok, the simplified Attribute structure and addition of the Ride Deck are awesome. Not sure I like the concept of Order Cards, but I'll get used to 'em. And Persona Ride is a clever way of giving power boosts without making 1 specific deck better than any other. I love it.
Even with the reboot V introduced order cards. So they would be around anyways.
This tutorial was awesome!! Thank you. I've never played this TCG before so I just ordered 3 of the start decks and I'm super excited to try it out when they arrive.

Honestly with the essay long effect descriptions on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards these days that you’d need a magnifying glass to read I think Vanguard may be easier to get into.

Doubt they will, they still are making updates on ZERO, but I would prefer much more one for PC with these graphics (from the video), the normal rules (cards having back the shield power) and no gatcha system (which seems impossible but LoR is doing it very well).

In 2021 I have no clue why this is not on the nitnendo switch or on mobile format (a complete one) people would go crazy for this. To this day one of the most interesting, better drawn and interesting TCGs available. A breath of freash air for how complex MTG and yugioh get to be while keeping strategy. Cmon guys just release this in console format for the U.S

same here but be warned the money builds up quickly i just spent £100 on booster boxes to make my deck viable. MY advice, pick a deck you like look of more and use the other cards to trade with. Thats what i did today and now my Dark States card (bruce) is comign along

Yea nice move not explaining it to people who don’t already know what it does so they don’t immediately lose interest in the game , because overtrigger is the one design mistake that ruins this whole reboot.

I've got a better idea after watching this. But I definitely would not say that I know how to play. Hope I can figure it out. Just got my first few packs today and ordered two starter decks that will be here on Thursday. I've played a ton of magic, and im sure that's got to be more complex than this 🤔
man i wanna get into this game also but i believe your right Magic would be more complicated for starters like me but i haven't really picking up the slack i've been playing lots of YuGiOh, tiny bit of Pokemon but want more TCG up my sleeves but i think Pokemon and Cardfight Vanguard are probs easiest to pick up

Excellent video for a beginner like myself :D. I just wished that they explain the order types and how to use heal triggers. What does that golden border around the shield value for lifesaving angel kurabiel seen in the intro indicate?
The golden border around the shield indicates that it's a Sentinel card. Like Heal Triggers, you can run up to four of them. If a card is a sentinel, that usually means that it has really good defensive abilities. Some sentinels have really high shield values, and others can just stop the attack entirely.
The unique effect of heal triggers is to move cards from your damage zone to the drop zone. However, you can only do this if you have an amount of damage greater than or equal to your opponents. Usually, you'd remove a card that's been used to pay for a Counter-Blast as that means you have some breathing room and an extra point of damage to use.

Alright, you've got a solid foundation of a UI here. I think a lot of people would like to see you do something with it. Something better than that lazy modified rules mobile game. Vanguard has always been kind of a perfect card game to cross from physical to digital mediums because the lack of an interrupt phase dodges the problem of "It is the end of your Main Phase. Do you want to activate a Spell or Trap card? It is your End Phase. Do you want to activate a Spell or Trap card? It is your opponents Start Phase..."
We need a PC game for this

Sadly they scrapped the original steam version that was really polished. And they've shown how much the old mentality persists with how CF Zero mobile is. A trashy unoptimized game using gutted rules all because they don't want the digital sales cutting into physical.

-> Make it free to download but with prices similar to real life for packs/decks, maybe a tiny bit cheaper if feeling generous. Can also make it like a 5-10 dollar download that come with all VGD starter decks, then pay for packs.
-> Give codes in each physical release to get the equivalent online, making it the best value option anyway since the price are similar but one give physical products in addition to online.

@@SnowCompanion I was totally hyped for CF Zero, really dissapointed that they changed the rule into utter crap, I use Aqua Force irl and it just makes the archetype almost unplayable and utter crap, like I play YGO Duel Links and at least it still keeps the gameplay similar to irl, all in all will never play CF zero until it changes the gameplay to be similar to irl version

Why on earth isn't this the cardfight vanguard game? This is so much better than Vanguard Zero also missing so much of the rules that have been changed to hell.

Vanguard Zero are meant to be a more beginner friendly game to make more people want to play the OG card game, so ofc Zero rules are simplified than the og. Also, who tf wants to spend almost 30 minutes for 1 cardgame in mobile phone? Most mobile phone user's plays games that can be ended quickly because they are busy.

Gonna have to re watch this a few times to understand everything. I’m a vanguard newbie I’m assuming it’s probably best to start buying the new overdress stuff and not worry about the older stuff? Random but I didn’t know vanguard was 10 years old geez what channel did the English dub anime air on in the US?Cause I totally missed out on that.
I think you can find the older animation on the vanguard youtube channel here. Its ultimately up to you on if you wanna focus on overdress or older stuff first. I'd reccomend starting with overdress, but the older series is also quite fun and interesting.

Ive only played vanguard zero, do you put the order card on the field and then put them on the drop zone after just like spells and traps on yu gi oh?
If it is a normal order then yes
@@arin_duv4518 otherwise, they will go in the order zone. Do not worry because the card will explain where they are placed if needed😊😊
@@sammydray5919 set orders are more like continuous spells field spells are limited to one player each while set orders (like continuous Spells) have no limit.

So, when you person's ride and give your front row 10k, but the front row is empty, if I call a new unit to a front row circle, does it get the +10k like a cont ability, or does it act more like an auto ability where only the cards that were there at the time of being placed get the effect?
The front circles become 10,000 power. So anything that leaves and then is replaced during the battle phase still get the 10,000 power.
so is there a reason why the card drawn from twin drive at 8:47 has a red border?

Okay so quick question, Are the placement of each designated zone mandatory? I'm left handed, so Im just hoping that my deck and ride deck can be on my left side without someone calling the judge on me in serious events haha
in local tournaments i would say its free game or a casual fight official tournaments require all zones to be mandatory and usually give you a specified mat that has the zones on them
I’ve been hooked to this game since 2021 I may be new to the game but I do know the rules especially my experience in vanguard zero I still have a lot to learn including the stride in the g series

I really enjoyed vanguard 5 years ago when I first played. It’s just too bad the group I played with was way too toxic and uncomfortably awkward for me to keep playing.
dang not gonna lie that kinda sad getting angry or toxic over a card game that suppose to make friend and have fun wit friends it's not a FPS where people go super toxic and calling you trash for using such and such but i really want to get into this TCG get some more TCG up my sleeves beside YuGiOh and Pokemon
