Your pot base at 7.00 is a lions head costrel, with marbled slip, North Italian, probably from Pisa, and 17th century.
Thank you Richard!
Yes please never ever stop
I came across your channel by accident a few days ago and I showed my dad because I was reminiscing as to mud larking with my grandfather as a child. My dad awkwardly rushed to switch your video off but only because he thought I might be upset to be thinking of such memories, given that I'm now in a wheelchair and unable to walk and even dream of mud larking now. However, I want you to know that whilst he's right.. there are many activities I grieve so much now and can't watch from afar as a result, chancing upon your channel made me cry happy tears and it felt like a rare treat for my life. I've been watching your vids and simply enjoying them, without sadness, because you create such an interesting, informative and above all positive format within them. So, this is just to say 'thankyou' for giving me a blessing such as this and allowing me to re-engage with a mobile past without feeling sadness and loss x
Hi Ash,
Thank you very much for writing. Your comment has really moved me and I'm so glad that you are enjoying the videos. Can I send you some bits and pieces I've found on the Foreshore? Drop me an email at nicola.white@tidelineart.com
It would be lovely to hear from you.
Nicola x
You opened up a whole new world for me, Nicola. Please don't ever stop.
Thank you! I certainly wont stop
Nic, you need to take the ring to a jeweler and have it repaired, sized, and cleaned. I think we'd all love to see you wear that ring while mudlarking! 💜
I watched all 3 Si-finds your and the manwiththehat, I like all them for different reasons but yours is distinctly you, it's a calming experience. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
I totally agree! Nicolas have a very calming aspect to them and I am recommending them to my friends who have anxiety to help calm them down, as I find it really helps me with mine!
I gave up looking for knobbly things years ago, am quite happy to live alone ! Lovely day out ! xo
Ha ha 😁
Crows are smart birds, that's why they look under the stones.
Great finds again.
"I found something knobbly!"
Nicola! You've been looking at my knees again! ;))
you're my new obsession -- I love going along with you and your friends and checking out the treasures that wash up on the Thames. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
I just love what you've done with the driftwood. Almost as much as the fish from bottle glass. I am partial to things that live in the sea.
I loved the 19 th century ear phones! Still smiling about that.
I just heard about London Bridge Attack. My heart bleeds for the lives lost over the Thames today. I hope you and all your fellow mudlarks were safe and far away. From Texas, I'm sending London heaps of love right now and cheering mightily for all you brave Londoners!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos, Nicola. You show us treasures, both natural (herons, driftwood, &tc) and man made (pipes, pottery, &tc). You are a lovely girl with the soul of a poet. :)
Thank you x
Congratulations on your gold ring find! After all your walks in the weather, rain, and muck you deserve a great find! Awesome!
Cool artwork. I'm glad one of the two rings was genuine.
Nicole, you have a great imagination with the different items you share at the end of your videos. Over the moon with your gold and diamond ring. I was very happy for. Thanks Simon!
Another great video. Thank you for sharing with us.
Very Restful.!!! Watching With My Feet Up On The Sofa.Nicola Doing All The Work.!!!
Well Done Buttercup.
I've seen so many of your vids that I feel like I'm going to start saying "It's just here!" whenever I point at things. ;D
My wife and I are sitting here this morning enjoying your video.
My wife spied a large padlock just south of the pipe you plucked out @7:47
In the same frame there is another buried pipe six inches or so northwest of the pipe you retrieved.
At the 11 o'clock position.
Thanks for brightening our day!
oh no don't tell me I missed a padlock! I love them. And a pipe too! aargh
The knobs on the pipes are completely ornamental. The smoker would never touch the bowl, as it would be extremely hot. That's why most of them had very long stems. To make sure the didn't burn their lips! I like the pipes you find. Thanks for sharing.
Can't help feeling there are a lot of tears that go with that ring.
I was thinking the same thing ... a regretful toss into the Thames to mark the end of a relationship
Wow !!!!
Congrats and Kudos to you !!!!!
Now over 107thousand subscribers !!!!
That represents A LOT of hard work and A LOT of time and dedication !!!
Thank you for all that you do !!!!

Poppet
Thank you poppet xx
These clay pipes must have been a work of art when they were new - so beautiful! Hanneke from Cape Town
I know. just lovely!
Anyone else fall asleep watching this? You're like the Bob Ross of mudlarking.
Im glad it relaxes you!
So happy your ring is gold and diamonds! Good people deserve good things to happen to them.
Your driftwood birds are lovely ! Giggled at the headphone joke! Wonderful as always, thank you
So sweet and kind and humble to be so thankful to your viewers. Thank You for that I've been watching now for a month and really enjoy your adventures! If you're ever here in Asheville, NC, you can look for Native American goodies!

THANK YOU FOR SHARING your MUDLARK Adventures WHITH US 😊😊😊😊😊
thank you for watching them Mary! x
It's always good to see you again Nicola.
I enjoy watching you find all the things you find...you seem to really enjoy what you do and you get so excited and happy...that's what makes me watch your channel
Love ur channel! The music so divine and ur smile and laugh contagious! Thank you. I’ve got to get me a pair of mud boots 🥾 for the marsh here in S.C...I won’t find anything like u do but who knows. I mean we were not discovered until 1607 in Williamsburg Va, well, Jamestown really. It is so cool to visit Jamestown...it is so well preserved. They came over expecting gold and instead they found disease, starvation, and not-so- friendly natives.
I love your uploads Nicola, your voice is so soothing and you treat things with such touching respect, no matter how small,
Great finds Nicola, excellent video.
Jacob.
It’s always lovely to walk the foreshore with you, Nicola.
thanks Katherine
Always a lot of sentiment connected to your vlogs, practically meditative, Nic ♡
Thank you. Mudlarking is my meditation x
Sentiment or sediment?
Oooh nice find that ring! When you where getting the pot I almost thought it to be a statue it was such a big thing. I loved the knobbly pipe too. I always like it when the pipes have a bit of design on them.
What a beautiful happy soul you are Nicola. Your excitement is contagious. There are few in the world that can bring happiness into lives. Nicola you do that everytime we see you on one of your adventure. In another time you would have been an explorer in the Wilds of Africa or tracking down ancient ruins in the Egyptian desert. Warmest regards Albus
Thank you Albus. I love your comments. You remind me of a gentle wizard! x
As always, Nic, thank you for sharing another mudlarking adventure along the foreshore. I am truly in awe of your creative talents. Your driftwood art is so simple yet superb, and you are talented both in front of and behind the camera. You have earned the respect and admiration of those 53K subscribers, with undoubtedly scores more to come.
thank you Steve x
Thames River Art 👩🎨 in the ZONE. Fabulous finds! I enjoyed watching you see the art in the drift wood when you picked them up. I didn’t expect to actually see the ART as well. Pleasant surprise indeed. 😎
And Windy is a real talent as well. I wonder if she does artist 🎨 pallets? I bet it would be amazing.
Love ❤️ your ART 🤩
Another fantastic video. Thank you.
Great video as usual, love the way you can look at a piece of driftwood and see a bird straight away.
The intros to your vids are so relaxing and evocative. Hard to believe your're in the middle of one of the world's great cities!
I keep stumbling across videos that I haven’t seen, not unlike a random object in the mud,and I thrill!
You know,I have purchased many found items,I do this, not just because I collect remarkable things, but I am practicing, seeing the forms,by every angle,I am training my eyes to see a bottle stopper,a Codd marble,a bit of pottery,of any age.
I do it to help my skills, when I do this very thing, this thing that re reveals history.
another great watch,thanks
A lovely lark! Nice variety of finds and great news that your previously found ring is indeed gold and diamonds. I always enjoy a tour of your studio and seeing the progress of your artwork. I want one of everything!
Nicola, I always look forward to your new videos to come out because they are always entertaining, whether just you or your friends included. They are a part of my go-to viewing for sure! Thank you so much for sharing your excursions, art, and historical research. I love them all!

Love your channel Boo, keeping on playing in the mud so we can all live vicariously thru you.
❤️love to see you all out. Watched all three, how can I not?! Lovely pipes as always. Thanks for sharing.
My first thought, when you held up the "1800's ear phones", was that it looks like it came off the top of a cyberman's head, from Doctor Who. Lol
Clay pipes are always my favourite find of your's Nicola! Love your mudlarking history! 💖😊
My Husband and I watch your videos all the time. We are Americans and we love to artifact(Native American) hunt where we live. I also love to metal detect. We love your videos!

Awesome adventure Nic! That break in your lovely gold and diamond ring is actually where solder has oxidized away over the years from salt exposure. Very common on older gold rings :-} Happy Hunting!

Love your videos, and really love Si Finds. ❤
Hello Nicola! What a fine video to watch while having my morning coffee(JO)! The Pipe Queen of the Thames strikes again I say. The large shoe certainly looks very old judging from the way it's shaped. And the sole with the letters? Wow, something so personalize is amazing with all the vibes from the past. I was imagining who the people were and what they did and how long ago. Shoes weren't cheap so they were valued and protected. My G G Grandfather was a shoemaker and I have his ledgers from the 1840s-1870s. A fine pair of boots in the 1840s was $5.00. A pair of children's shoes were .95-$1.25! He had an apprentice for 3 years and he was paid $25 dollars a year, room and board and help with crops and other work about the homestead. So $5.00 for a pair of boots would have been quite precious. Of course the writing in these ledgers is very beautiful and often it will state, one pair of shoes for 8 bushels of oats, or a half cord of firewood, or so much leather. My GGGrandfathers name was Joseph Shanks and his father was Alexander Shanks who came over from Ireland in 1815. He was born in 1772 and was Scotch Irish. I have all their photographs, husbands and wives. It is hard to imagine that I have photos of my ancestors born in the 18th century. Of course they were taken in the late 1850s. Joseph was born in 1818. So with 54% of my bloodline being from the UK and Ireland, you can understand that larking on the Thames is on my bucket list. That shoe you found might have been my uncles, or your uncles. Funny how my German name of Weaver has a tiny percentage of German. But since I was a child I've always had a strong connection to the UK while little interest in Germany. Genetic memories indeed! Your drift wood birds are Lovely and congratulations on your gold and diamond ring! Are you going to have it appraised? Some good things I've found I have no interest in selling as each represents an experience and story. This to me is worth far more than $. I will have to send you a pic of a page of one of the ledgers. So my Cousin Nic and Cousin Simon, I wish you Luck inna Muck and Love, Light and Peace! And of course a HUGE Thank You for sharing your adventures! DaveyJO in Pa.
Thank you very much for sharing this. That really is fascinating and wonderful that you have photos too! x
Great find. Gold AND diamonds 💍 wow. Looking forward to learning about the pottery. Beautiful birds Nicola.
thank you x
