Im taking my 3.8 out of my 98 and replacing it with a 5.0 from a 95 F-150 have everything top end unbolted and did as you did A/C wise (no A/C). Do I need to do basically everything you've done or. And Auto Transmission
That's the K-member, I replaced the stock one with one from a 1995 mustang gt so the motor mounts would line up. (they changed it in 96 when ford went to the 4.6)
No worries, I'm happy to help. If I had to guess, I'm thinking that it's going to be different, but youre going to want to check some forms on doing the swap in the f150
WHAT'S UP ADAM I'M DOING THE SAME SWAP BUT MY MUSTANG IS A 95 MODEL....I HAVE THE ENGINE TRANSMISSION HARNESS WHAT ELSE DO I NEED FOR THIS SWAP...LIKE THE WAY YOUR STANG CAME OUT BADAZZ MAN
I tried it it, big mistake. Had to go to short headers. Long headers burned up 3 starters. Had to take header off to get starter out. Header also blocked transmission from being removed. wasted $700 on the Long Headman Headers.

@@sandmansimms5704 Mine are 2' 5/8ths at the exhaust end. They are for a 5.0. I had them on a 347 Stroker 435 hp. I have seen other T-Birds with BBK Long Tube Headers and the guys say they fit better and are shaped differently. Some will block Transmission removal on Mustangs and Thunderbirds though.
Shortys all day for me!!Long Tubes were a heat, clutch cable melting mess!!
What transmission do you have

should be basically the same, however, I can not be for sure due to the fact that I've never worked on an F150
Ok. What was your reason for removing your sub frame or the fram you removed

To be honest your asking the wrong guy lol, but if you have a fox body I did read some things online about how they often hit the steering shaft
No I'm taking the 5.0 from the 95 and putting it in my 98 Mustang
I am in the process of doing the same how did that work out for you
Is your car manual or automatic transmission?
Looking good! What brand headers are those?
