For a solo que I'd change Hope with a Bond. Is a must. You can tell where the killer is based on teammates actions, you can tell what your teammates are doing, you can see if the killer pushed someone from the gen, and based of the progress showing on the teammates icons you can tell if there is a chance that a killer kicked it and you need to stop the regression, if someone is going to save or you need to do it, etc.
I have kindred and I RECOMMEND IT! this is such an amazing perk and it also shows the aura of the survivors so you know if they are going to save the person or not. I also think Empathetic Connection is underrated, especially in SoloQ situations. Someone will always be able to find you so you can either heal them or you can both heal up.
Funny enough i find Bond more helpful for the soloq healing experience. Ive run empathic a lot and no one ever comes to me. Losing out on the 30% heal speed is a bummer but bond lets me go to others which is more consistent for me to get/give heals to ppl.
@@daldorian I totally agree with you. Bond is better than EC. Because sometimes when other survivors know where you are they can also use this situation to drag to killer on you which is annoying.

Distortion used to be so slept on, finally was nerfed it was so amazing for the longest time (patch 6.1 to 8.3). It’s still good but man it used to be so much better.
Kindred is my favourite perk My favourite perk for killer is one of the twins perks that give you an 80% increase of lunge attack. when a gen is completedyou get a 2 tokens on max level with a max stack of 4 or 5 tokens. Makes a sweaty Myers buld
My favorite survivor perks right now are lithe, windows of opportunity, deja vu and resurgence. I wouldnt say that these are the best perks but they cover gen progression, looping potential and healing which makes the game much more comfortable to play.
Kindred isn't sleeper for me because I've always loved using it in solo queue. Honestly, distortion is also one of my favorites. There's enough aura reading that it comes in handy. Windows (Kate's perk) is great for beginners and can be paired up with Finesse. Distortion was also a life saver when Chucky released. People in my elo loved his perk that switched Obsession after hooking one. Saved me and my teams' buns multiple times.
i always go with Open-handed + Kindred. giving that Massive aura read to the other surv's. im usually solo so i do the best i can help. but i am a killer main XD Legion/Sadako/Knight.
Kindred is amazing for solo q, but no one says to pair it with open handed. it helps a lot with bigger maps that dont have much verticality. on maps like gideon or lerys, you might as well have UAV on 1/4 of the map when anyones on hook. and it benefits all other distance based aura reading perks for your team as well.
As a Jake main I can confirm that iron will is very fucking useful especially since I am very reliant on hiding and stealth. Being able to juke out a killer and hide behind a rock is great
It’s amazing to me that FINALLY aura blocking perks like Distortion are given the recognition they deserve. I was one of the early adopters of DBD, and used to be a very active member of the official DBD Forums (a hellish place), and I remember distinctly back then how much aura blocking was ridiculed as useless, whilst I would ruthlessly defend perks that gave aura blocking. I can’t believe it’s 6 or 7 years for aura blocking to be recognised for how game changing it really is.
If you're still chasing a survivor long enough for Fineness to proc more than once you aren't playing killer correctly lol (still a decent perk though on one proc)
The only reason I used to like bringing Distortion is so I could deny killers any satisfaction from their aura builds. But then your team gets tunneled. Better to bring Object.
I run kindred with openhanded since the big blob blocks nearly all of it unless the teammates are above/below the ground level of the hook. Its also great for seeing where the killer is headed to and is useful if they are being chased within its extended range (had a teammate loop a killer around shack while i was decently far away with it).
Distortion is receiving a change next patch (mid chapter). It's not possible they are gonna buff this shit even more (but it's BHVR. I could be wrong).
I played with Windows for 900 hours, and then realized during Lights Out and Chaos Shuffle that I no longer needed it, and it was just a wasted perk slot. I took it off and haven't used it since. It's great for new players, but it drops off hard as you learn the game.
@@AmyLovesYouI would agree. But in SoloQ it’s helpful so you know which pallets the other survivors have already used. Perfect perk to counter and find Hexes easier. Definitely a good idea to bring (with a rainbow map with the more charge and less burn rate addons), since mainy killers love to use the Hex combination of Plaything and Pentimento and to know where other's Hexes are is a good thinf, since that makes it far eaiser to break Pentimento totems as well

I personally think the best perk in the game by a mile is off the record. Its just there is way too much to say about it but to quickly give some reasons why -it works twice per game before endgame(first and second hook) -its three perks in one(iron will, distortion and borrowed time) -it makes many endgame perks better(adrenaline, hope,no one left behind, etc) -you can still pair it with exhaustion perks -its a safety net if you get tunneled -even if you don’t get tunneled or you do a consipicous action you get to keep the aura protection and silence for the whole duration -it lasts 80 whole seconds There is more to it but thats the major points. Overall… start using off the record more
@@IcarusFaIleni started a few days ago. Isn't that the perk that gives you 3 attempts to free yourself from a hook? I use it sometimes but I'm not a big fan of it because 20% escape chance seems still not worth the risk and there is alwqys the possibility to get no value out of it in a game.
The only perks I sort of agree with you on is Iron Will and Kindred . The others are okay but they aren't the best . Here's the best: 1) Windows of opportunity. 2) Dead Hard . 3) Resilience. 4) Decisive strike . 5) We'll make it . 6) Sprint burst . 7) Lucky break , but it has to be combined with lithe or quick and quiet into a locker .
Lucky break is OK for the 1st chase, but it doesn't really last long enough. Once you're injured, that timer goes fast . So then you'd have to heal at least 3 ppl to build it back up.
Dead hard, Lucky break and Decisive strike are not top tier. There are better exhaustion perks for chases and DS is just a 3 sec stun if the killer tunnels if you do nothing until the killer get you.
@@ToniToniChopaaa They are far more usefull then WoO, DS or Distortion. You get 15% faster gen reoair speed when injured and alone on a gen and if you have to team up you don't get any penality like you would if you didn't bring Prove Thyself. That combi is very helpful against 3 gen scenarios or killers that bring perks that require fast repair to counter such as Ruin (if you don't find the totem then good luck, if the killer finds you before the gen is done) or other regression perks (sonce through the 15% faster repair you can end the regression, even if the killer ks close, before they even get close enough for a lunch attackm

As someone who plays killer, if I ever feel like I have to use noed, then I KNOW I'm bad. I honestly feel like utter trash when I use that perk.
I always use Off the record, kindred and lithe, the 4th depends on what kinda mood I'm in 😏
I'm glad Distortion is getting changed, too many survivors just hide all match.
The game was always about hiding....😂
You know what I mean... hiding as in too scared to touch a gen, totem, unhook etc etc.
That's only because too many killers rely on aura reading. Their are so many aura reading perks that 3 pips can vanish in no time
I don't need aura reading to find survivors. Survivors using it against me are only running a dead perk.
To much aura reading, besides survivor still will hide even without it like Dwight's in lockers and claudette crouching in corners. Killers need to stop relying on aura reading to much, distortion counters it.
@@lewis9391 lethal - nwth - gearhead - bbq stacks gone by first hook, besides headphones are a thing 😅
Spirit mains shaking in their boots now that old iron will is back
Windows for opportunity from 4 survs 3 has it like always
I once played game with kindred on soloq i even had the ace perk increases your aura reading i was the one who got first hooked only to see my all teammates crouching on the whole map no one came to rescue me i died on the first hook and got so angry played slug build nurse and made all 4 survivors bleed out i relivied so much after that nurse match
Also can we talk about the “nerfed” distortion actually being a buff vs scratch mirror myers because now that it can tokens from chase and not TR you can actually use this perk against it?
Wish iron will stayed at 70 present but wasn't exhaustion perk. Man, literally any exhaustion debuffs are making this perk useless and it's so annoying. And you can't use at least balance, even tho they still hit you through it, which makes no sense, it's still good to have possibility to run away when falling in 1-2 out of 6 chances
What about Small Game
@@seinedbd ur mother
Perfect perk to counter and find Hexes easier. Definitely a good idea to bring (with a rainbow map with the more charge and less burn rate addons), since mainy killers love to use the Hex combination of Plaything and Pentimento and to know where other's Hexes are is a good thinf, since that makes it far eaiser to break Pentimento totems as well
I think I might run a dead hard, self care, iron will, and kindred or distortion build, just to be silly mayhaps
R.i.p distortion
Which characters do you have to prestige or does everyone have them?
u have to either unlock them in the shrine weekly or unlock the chars none of the perks mentioned are unlockable at the start apart from the last one kindred
They gutted distortion to its grave
Kllers about Distortion in 2022: ..... Yeah it's fine
Kllers about Distortion today while it always been the exact same: SO BROKEN IT NEEDS A NERF😡
Tbh I just find it to make a match more predictable as usually I just can't find the distortion user so one survivor dies early and then it's just not worth it at that point. I respect and even do use distortion myself when used as an info tool and for removing so much pressure from unhooks or working on far away gens.
@@vaporghoulyea but as a distortion user myself, I’m doing gens. If you’re chasing someone, tough luck on them, I hope they know how to loop, cus I didn’t get caught. So it’s not a waste if I’m here doing gens my guy. Keep chasing or waste time trying to find me
So finess is a get out of jail free card every 30s
Dude, the killer can hit you when you land on the other side of the window, which is BS , Get out of jail free card, my ass, go cry about something else.
Not really you don't always Have a window and don't commit to windows if you know you have finesse but sure keep blaming perks because your not good
*cries in Distortion was recently nerfed*
blud really left out off the record, deliverance and unbreakable lmaoo
These perks are more niche. unbreakable only works if the killer slugs. Off the record is good if the killer tunnels.
@@paulodelima5705 Niche? Ur literally calling changing perks of niche, shows me ur mmr is on the lower ends, off the record is like 3 perks in 1 calling it niche is crazy
@lordeder9148 Oh hell naw 🤣 there is no way you actually play like a sweat😭🙏
@@FreezingNick If not playing to lose is your definition of sweating then yes, I do sweat a lot in my games ig
Deliverance only works if you do the unhook, not a teammate or getting hooked first, and only really helps if your teammates know you have it so they dont have to waste time rescuing. Both of these criteria make it terrible for solo queue.
I play mobile and iron will is still nerfed 💀
Yah bro 🥲
Is mobile on the same servers as normal dbd?
So could a mobile player and and Playstation Player play together?
@@darkerthanblack8897 nah bro But I wish that we could 🥲
@@darkerthanblack8897 nah it’s only mobile players.
I use most of these perks and run killers for like 3 gens lol
I put Boil Over, Breakdown, Light Weight, Boon: Shadow step on bots and I could barely ever find them and when I did, I could barely hook them 🥴
Yeah, those are bots. Not actual people who can make a mistake.
you will neverrr catch me not running hope
I personally think the best perk in the game by a mile is off the record. Its just there is way too much to say about it but to quickly give some reasons why
-it works twice per game before endgame(first and second hook)
-its three perks in one(iron will, distortion and borrowed time)
-it makes many endgame perks better(adrenaline, hope,no one left behind, etc)
-you can still pair it with exhaustion perks
-its a safety net if you get tunneled
-even if you don’t get tunneled or you do a consipicous action you get to keep the aura protection and silence for the whole duration
-it lasts 80 whole seconds
There is more to it but thats the major points.
Overall… start using off the record more
Ok ok but hear me out... slippery meat. No? Alright, I'll leave.
It's a really great perk but I like to use altruistic perks.
@@darkerthanblack8897True, but slippery meat and salty lips combo, tho?
@@darkerthanblack8897the one you’re talking about is slippery meat, it gives you exactly what you said. But I think it read 4% more of a chance,Not 20
when my distortion goes off against a spirit and I’m running iron will as well *MUAHAHAHA
Deja vu combined with resilience and maybe prove thy self .
@@KhoaNgo-sr4zqthose three perks are useless
I think we’ll make it is a good contender
What would be some good chase perks as a survivor? There's so many perks i always forget some or get them confused!
Idk I like the first 2 perks shown for top 5 but that’s me
The best perks are by far prove thyself and windows of opportunity. Gen rushing + windows is pretty much unbeatable.
scared to spend money on finesse because they always nerf perks once i buy them
