    Nice job. What I like about this video is I feel it is an honest representation of how much work it takes to install something like this, even though it is a "kit". You aren't going to install it in a day, and somethings might not go as planned and be perfect at first. This video shows how sometimes you have to adjust and modify things as you go. For the record I do not have experience with this kit but am considering it for another XJ and have built my own cage for my XJ.

      I should have painted the underside of the cage prior to welding it to the feet , or welding the cage to the uprights. I was able to get it all, but it wasnt easy. It took a few days with some small brushes.

    What about the holes in the roof when it rains

    • @FMJeeping
      @FMJeeping  3 роки тому

      I used black flex seal. It seems to have worked. No leaks so far. The trick is to have the smallest hole possible to get the tube through. I used a 1.75" hole saw. So it is the same diameter as the tube. It takes a little effort to get the tube through the roof. So as you push it through the roof. The hole will open very slightly. Use some sealant to seal the small gap, And you should be good.

    Nice! Appreciate the video. Sub'd. Gunna look for an Instagram. We have similar builds. Except I'm full hydro and still leafed (superduty swap) . After knocking out the rear quarter glass and roof at sand hollow - I'm looking into getting a cage i can modify. This one looks like it will do the job. I was concerned about the seats, because I run all the way back. Will definitely be following to see how the harness bar works out. Lot's of info. I'll have to check out some of the other videos. Building the xj at this level is not an easy task.

      Thanks man. You wheel Sand Hollow? I am jealous. I'd love to get out there sometime. I'm hoping to get the bender soon. I'll check you out on IG. I'd love to check out your build. With some of the steering obstacles I'm running into currently, full hydro would be awesome, but I need to try and keep it road "legal" a little while longer.

      @@FMJeeping sitting here waiting on a train switching. yeah, it was the first trip there of many. The wider axles made it super stable. I would say sand hollow is the best place to wheel I've found so far. Get to make some crazy lines. Once you get everything dialed I would put it on the radar. Yeah working on a bender also, just have other ways to throw money. I figured the diy cage makes more sense right now.. The full hydro i drive in Oregon all the time, it definitely needs special attention to responsibly run it. The drivability with the psc tj 2.75 kit is really a non issue. I probably should share more stuff but I've been busy with family stuff since the trip. I'll try and post more content

      @@mallcrawleroffroad-brandon9298 awesome. I'm hoping to have the jeep driveable in the next week. I already know of a few things I am going to have to change. My draglink is going to limit the front suspension alot. I need to add a few bends in the drag link to put it back into an acceptable range of the heims. That's where the bender comes in. These things are money pits. But they are fun.
