- This trip was not supposed to happen, but most of my family is leaving me to embark on a last-minute adventure! Shawn takes most of the children with him, but some of us have to stay behind. I can testify that it's a strange feeling to have our large family separated. In this video, we share our "day-in-the-life" family story from two different angles. Isn't this what life is all about?! Shawn and Janice, this is my favorite video you have put out so far. You could just feel the family love pouring through this video. I am a fellow Christian homeschooling mama, so I appreciate and understand how it feels when family members are away from home. We are used to everyone being together! This video shows others who may not be familiar with homeschooling how homeschool families are so close, from youngest to oldest. We are each other's best friends and companions! We truly enjoy each other's company. It seems when kids go to school, siblings are split up every day, parents go to work, that american families just aren't as close and connected as they should be. I hope this encourages others to homeschool. Family is a blessing; don't give it away to the world. I loved seeing y'all reunited. So kind that they brought Rebekah a gift. So thoughtful. Bless Sam!!! Seeing him sleep like that make me think of my son Aaron. He could fall asleep, and I would wonder how in the world can he be comfortable. Even when we were taking him to leave for deployment, he fell asleep in the car. I wanted to cry....He was a young man, leaving home to serve, but he was still my baby. Now he has babies of his own.

It's an adventure for the voyagers, but it is kind of special for Sara and Rebecca too because they get special one-on-one time with mom. So everyone wins! But mama sounds sad. Hugs. Editing to say it was really moving and sweet how all the kids said goodbye to each other ... genuine love being expressed there. That is the ULTIMATE proof of good parenting: children who love and appreciate each other. Love, love, love.

Nothing better than families and family history. I thank God everyday that I have been raised to appreciate my foundation and where I came from . Every year on my birthday I call my mommy and daddy and thank them for having me. Without them I would not be. I'm 47 and I'm so thankful to have them both in my life everyday. Never take your family for granted always appreciate what God has blessed you with.

What a sweet girl Anna is wrapping up a treat for her little sister and Rebekah was so excited to receive it. I also saw Samuel making sure he greeted all the dogs. I just love watching your family.
My father gave his youngest grandson my David his guitar he played it and sang at his grandpa funeral it still brings tears to my eyes

I think I've said this before but every home needs a Sarah. There is no end to her talents and she does everything with so much joy, enthusiasm and love in her heart. Sarah, you looked absolutely STUNNING in your beautiful blue dress! I am positive that your friend will love the dress you are making for her. Your skirt looked so warm comfortable and this is something I would wear. In fact, I have been hunting down a green checked shirt like Sarah's one for a while now. We have similar taste in clothes. Abigail and Anna looked beautiful in their new dresses and the boys were all looking smart too. I'm glad you all enjoyed your time with your family. Andrews face when he realised how special the guitar was had me reaching for the tissues. For years now i have had my Dads guitar that he bought second hand when he was a student in 1966. He taught himself how to play it and it was passed on to my brother, who also taught himself how to play it. When he bought a new guitar, the old one was passed down to me and I too taught myself how to play it. It has served our family well and means a lot to me. I hope one day Andrew can pass his guitar down to his children or Grandchildren too. Blessed family ❤️🕯️🙏

This was an awesome video and it brought back so many memories of my childhood when we would travel back to Ohio every where my mom grew up on a farm. She was the youngest of 7 children and so we had huge reunions along with all the cousins as well as extended family.
What a treasure that your son got his grandfather's guitar. It brought tears to my eyes . On another note...Sarah looks absolutely beautiful in the dress she made. What a talent to be able to make your own clothes. .My mom made most of my clothes when I waS growing up. Lots of memories were made even for those who had to stay behind to care for the animals .

I am in Oklahoma.....about 4 hours from Muskogee. My Uncle used to live in Sallisaw, not far from Muskogee. Now I know how the Eskimo Joe's shirts come in...lol!!! Glad they had a safe and fun trip. Love your channel and family!!!

Your family reminds me so much of my childhood. I’m 63 now. On the washing video , that really brought back memories. It was our every Saturday thing to do. My parents are 89 now , bern married for 71 years. We are truly blessed

I remember when that bridge collapsed. My uncle was a truck driver and just went over that bridge 8 mins before it collapsed.

There’s so much I want to say but I’m beginning to sound like a broke record. Woke up this afternoon and was still exhausted, speech a bit slurred and my balance is off, but I spied another great family video featuring the Ozark family homesteading to of course,brighten my day and sprinkle some genuine joy in my soul. Andrew, received a very special family heirloom from his grandpa: his guitar. Wouldn’t be surprised if Andrew wasn’t already proficient on guitar and could become another great country singer like George Strait. Thanks again, Janice in taking a huge amount of your time and Samuel’s in editing, then posting this video. Most certainly will watch it again a few more times when I’m fully awake. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I got to see parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma. We have land in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas but never have been in that area.

What a well-packed van. The girls look lovely in their dresses. I have fond memories of pretty dresses and family get-together/reunions. You remember those kind of good times forever. I also remember special 1:1 time with one parent or another when one of them had to stay home due to chores or church related events. Now I can see even clearer how these loving, polite, intelligent children came to be the way they are! The parenting is seamless when Dad takes over and Mom steps back! What a happy video! I just passed down an electric guitar to my son. My dad and I got it for Christmas in 1969. I put together a collage of dad, me, my son and grandson each playing it. I love that photo. 😍

It was great fun to follow the trip back and forth to Oklahoma, and I really enjoyed the glimpse of Arkansas Nuclear One. Here in Sacramento County in California, the Rancho Seco Nuclear Power Plant was built and went on line in the 1970’s. Sadly, it had problems from the start, with one extremely serious cooling problem that could have easily led to a reactor meltdown. As it was, radioactive steam was allowed to release and spread over farmland. The same folks who built this reactor also built the 3 Mile Island #2 reactor! Constant repairs caused our utility bills to steadily rise, and after the Chernobyl disaster in the old Soviet Union, we voted to take Rancho Seco off line permanently in the 1980’s. There were so many serious design flaws that we were extremely blessed to get out from under tge real danger posed to people, animals, and land. The reactor site is now a recreational area.
We’ve seen nuclear power work so well in places such as Arkansas, and it’s also great to see the use of solar power! When we went to the Holy Land, we saw the use widespread use of solar power! It is just crazy that we don’t have a great deal of solar power use in our sunny state! Oh well. Our leadership is maybe not the best in these areas!
Mom Janice, you held down the fort, and Sarah, your friend is going to love her dress! That is a beautiful design, with great lines!
