I absolutely LOVED this video!! It is my #1 favorite video you have put out!! I've always wanted to hear the children talk! It was great!! I always thought Sam would be the quietest. But I thought Andrew was quieter than I expected, and Sam more outgoing and talkative than I expected. The 3 youngest girls so adorable! Rebecca's cute little song! Abigail and Anna chose church songs, aww. ❤ David would put his million in the bank and let it grow! 👍👍 Sam not gonna have a homestead but work in business! Didn't surprise me. More of an intellectual and deep thinker.🤔
Sara surprised me she wants to work in the medical field. AND have 12!!!! children!!! Wow!!!

Loved this video. The one who surprised me was Sam. He is always so quiet. It was a joy to hear him talking and laughing. Sam, when I was young, my Daddy took us to all the Civil War battlefields. He was so interested in it. He would make us get out on the fields and reenact the battles. He wanted to see how it transpired. Thanks to all of you. I enjoyed it. Bless your sweet family.

I want to thank you for being such a wonderful woman and sharing your family.
You have literally given me a huge gift. I am 70 and I raised four children, mostly on my own. I recently lost two of my children, Angela 35 and Daniel 36. They passed away and your work has brought me joy I thought I had lost. It reminds me of when we were all together and they were small . I live alone and I want to thank you for every one of your videos. I send love to you & your family from Me, Barbara in B.C. Canada 🇨🇦

I am very impressed with the way the children answered the Questions.Sam wanting to go to the American historical sites was so heart warming
. My youngest son did American History module and was fortunate enough to sing in a choir that ware invited to tour in America and go to many of the historic sites. I wonder how he would like Europe?
This was so much fun. I really enjoyed listening to Sam and Anna. They are usually very quite so it was interesting to hear their thoughts on things. I would love for everyone to do a individual video, for example “A Day in the life of Sam”. ❤
That is a great idea, I too am very interested in Anna and Sam as they are so quiet.
Yes, I would love to see videos like this following each child for a day! For one thing, I want to count how many calories Rebekah takes in during a day in the life! Lol Sometimes I think she eats more than Andrew! Pretty sure that girl eats more than Sarah. Oh, to be young again!

I adored this vlog❤. All of your children are wonderful but in this video Sam stole my heart😊. I am so used to him being so quiet and often not seen that much .Of all the kids in this vlog...(other than sweet Rebecca,) Sam was so enthusiastic, smiley, and sailed through his interview happily! I grew up on a working farm when my father passed away. we moved to the suburbs of Nashville. Now that I'm older and live in HOA neighborhood, I miss the farm life.

I enjoyed this video very much. They all had great answers but I most enjoyed Sam’s and Anna’s answers. I lived in Virginia 20 years & met my husband there. Virginia is a great place to live & the people there are very friendly. I live in Washington state now. I was surprised the most by Anna’s answers. Her answers were awesome.

Sarah may feel for us subdivision city dwellers but farming/ homesteading is a lot of hard work. It’s all how you define “ freedom”. I enjoy my freedom in my way. It’s wonderful that we can all be happy with what we enjoy. Best of luck Sarah in the medical field. I just retired from 34 years working as a laboratory technologist. It’s a great field in healthcare that is experiencing a shortage so look into it if it sounds interesting to you. It’s also a versatile profession when raising a family.
Very true, Noreen! We are definitely tied down to our land and animals, so we do not have the freedom to leave on vacations. :)

What a great idea for a vlog! So glad your children felt able to do this (I know you’d never have insisted if they weren’t comfortable. ) It feels like we’ve had the opportunity to really get to know them and their personalities, and they are all just lovely! So do thank each of them for entertaining us in this way, I’m sure we all appreciate it!
Hi. I loved this video and getting to see your kids on a more personal level. I loved all of them but I especially loved Sam’s laugh when asking him about food likes. He was great. We don’t see him much in the vids so it was great to see him. If we all had $1 million we probably would all like to think we would save it smartly but like Sam says we probably realistically would spend it because how often do you get that much money at one time. lol

I love the interviews. It is fun seeing what they are interested in. You and Shawn should do a Q and A about your childhoods. So the children can see what the two of you were interested in at their age. I bet they would love hearing about your adventures.❤❤

Andrew is so much like Shawn. He thinks before he speaks. His mannerisms when talking or explaining something is pure dad. All of your children are amazing and interesting. Homesteading agrees with all of you
Hi Janice. I loved your video. I'm from Philadelphia PA . Sam would love the olde part of our city very much. He should come to philly someday. He could see Gettysburg, Valley Forge, homes where George Washington stayed. There's the American Revolutionary War museum, Betsy Ross's house, Independence Hall and the streets are still cobblestoned. We got horse and buggy rides, Ben Franklin's grave, Christ Church where they worshipped in the 1700s and of course the Liberty Bell. Oh. And stop by Franklin Old Fashioned ice cream shop right next to olde city . Tell him not to forget Philadelphia PA.
Linda, he would love to visit all of those places! (Actually, the whole family would enjoy it as we're a history-loving family!) :)

Oh Janice, I love all your videos but this one ranks high in my favourites. It was lovely to hear about different aspects of the childrens and teenagers lives, listening to their aspirations for the future regarding employment or how many children they would like to have, to their favourite songs and foods and hobbies. We don't often see much of Samuel but I can understand that not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera, myself included. His passion for history and the way he lit up when talking about the subject was so refreshing to witness. I think he would be a wonderful teacher. I think all the children will be successful no matter where God places them in the different seasons of their lives. Janice and Shawn, they are a great testimony to the way you have taught and guided your children through life, giving them opportunities that going to public school couldn't offer, giving them life skills and supporting them in their own interests whilst raising them with the love of our Lord in their hearts and for God's glory. May your lives always be blessed ❤️🙏🤗🏴

Anna ❤ I used to fight with people in my sleep ( mostly just argue and move around alot) my father would leave early early in the morning for work and he would hear me. 😄

Rebekahs interview had me laughing so hard. 😂I loved it when you asked her who was the smartest and she said, "me." I loved all the kids interviews, but Sam has to be my favorite. He is so quiet and you can tell he has a heart of gold and listening to him talk, he is VERY intelligent. It was so nice hearing him talk because he is very quiet most of the time. Janice, please don't take what I said about Sam the wrong way. He just happens to touch a place in my heart. Thank you so much for sharing this, it was so enjoyable.

Yeah Veronica, just yesterday Shawn and I were talking about how David has gotten noticeably taller recently and Abigail is losing her baby face. It's bittersweet, but also neat to see them growing up. :)
