  • I hesitate to tell you this. I went on another diet. I am the queen of failing at diets and yet, here I am doing it again and telling you about it. :). The thing is, I've already been pretty darn successful, so that helps me stay motivated!
Does that mean I never cheat? No, absolutely not. I actually took about a month off of the diet due to the holidays and a cruise my husband and I went on and have gone down a little more than when I first made this video. Now that it's the New Year, I'm getting going again and ready to keep losing this weight.

As you can see, I have a long ways to go, but I'm super happy to have reached the 30 pounds lost mark!

I think however you choose to lose weight is up to you as long as you aren't nutrient deficient. Personally I've just stuck to gluten free, sugar free, close to zero carb. and things kind of fell into place. I'm diabetic though... so my options are small. Diets are hard. Good luck on your weightloss! Don't be afraid to change it up as you lose more, the best way to diet is to make sure you are comfortable and not miserable. Being miserable is what always makes you burn out. 😵‍💫 I think it's underestimated how hard a diet is on your mental health, the body can typically handle a whole lot, but our brains get exausted quickly. 🙄😆😮‍💨
Edit: Plus you mentioned going off diets a lot, and don't beat yourself up about it. Just keep getting back on it and one day everything will just click into place. Never give up, even if you feel crummy about yourself for "giving up" in the moment, that's just a moment and even if it's days or weeks or months later, be proud that you are still trying. Idk if positivity like that helps you but it's made a difference for me.

The problem I had with these diets was that when I reached my target weight and stopped eating the relatively expensive "meals", I invariably gained much of the weight back. The problem was that they expected us to continue to eat some of the pre-packaged food. How are you doing?

That was not my experience. The goal is actually to transition off ALL of their products. I transitioned carefully and slowly over 6 weeks but by that time was off all the products. If your coach is telling you you have to keep buying them, she is lying.

The brown sugar oatmeal is terrible. Everything else is pretty good.

Hi Sarah. Can you introduce me to your coach? One of my patients has a coach at Optavia Medifast that has given her a link to see a doctor at LifeMD to work with a doctor for GLP-1 review and access. Optavia and LifeMD partnership seems to have started. I looked it up and LifeMD has a GLP-1 weight management program with potential medications like Wegovy and Ozempic. Dr. Dansinger
