- The HEDD Air Motion Transformer by Klaus Heinz is a one-of-a-kind tweeter design, in which a super-light Kapton®-diaphragm is folded multiple times before it is being positioned in a strong magnetic field.
In an AMT, the air is accelerated (by roughly factor 4) to achieve a dramatically better transient response and a more natural and true-to-the-source audio reproduction. Each and every HEDD AMT is hand-built with great care by our colleague Tatsiana, a former watchmaker. She has build thousands of units over the years, both at HEDD and in our former home ADAM.
