I just tested the lineariser switched on versus off while playing a sine wave-based synthesized kick drum, where the frequency of the sine wave starting at around 10khz and over a period of 100-200 milliseconds decreases down to about 40 hertz (typical of a kick drum from the genre knows as"Psychedelic Trance"), and in fact with the lineariser on, it completley destroys the transient of the kick, much like the sound of phaseshifting as a result of using a non-linear-phase high-pass filter on this kind of kick drum. By destroy I mean it introduces "pre-ring" - essentially playing the sub freqeuncies (the kick drum tail) before the the high frequencies (the transient of the kick drum). So it appears to me that at least in this particular scenario, that the lineariser does quite the opposote of what is described in this video. I assume and would hope to find that the lineariser improves timing in other examples of recorded music, unlike it does so in my sine wave psy trance kick drum scenario. Thoughts?

Hi @HEDDAudioGmbH I have the Heddphone 2 and i really like its sound! Alhough im pleased to see the attention given to the the design of the headband, i have to say that even with the tension strap loss, the clamping pressure is still too strong. I basically cant wear the headphone for too long. Do you have suggestions? Solutions? Headband accessories? New headband more wide? Seems to me that a wider headband would fix the issue, after all it can be always tightened up with the strap. Please let me know, Cheers

#timepoint 1:00 *YO my man 15 years ago I were using Eventide Anthology, Valhalla, PSP Audioware and FABFilter LIVE in concert and on Tours and all in one system - the only ANALOG SILK SHIMMERY SMOOTH digital Mixing concept anywhere and it is a 25 console replacement and runs on a PC, even in 32bit.... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my Type 30 Mkii and my Bass 12 sub . INCREDIBLE monitors

My listening room is pretty small (3m x 2m x 2.3m) with parallel walls (hard surface). Some room treatment done but its not enough to control the bass modes. I am currently using Focal CMS 40s (which are ported) with Sonarworks. I was thinking about getting the 07 mk2 and using them in closed mode. But seeing them in comparison with the midfield models they look pretty hefty. I fear that the bass build up in the room could be too much even in closed mode. Does anyone have experience with the 05 mk2 and/or 07 mk2 in closed vs ported mode?

for producing these are amazing. The detail you can work with on lower sub hz and even highs is as you said "squeaky clean" definitely worth the money.

Running the speakers with ports closed. I wonder if they use the internal DSP of the HEDD speakers at all or if everything is going through the Trinnov?!

Had I would’ve know there would be a mk2 so quickly after the mk1 I would’ve waited. Really unfortunate that monitor’s don’t hold their value and there is no trade in options for music equipment. Love my mk1s but the mk2s came out so quickly

@HEDD Audio GmbH & @Mr. Klaus Heinz A few questions. 1 - A question about the "Lineariser" feature. Although it is a must feature, I am asking: don't you believe that this feature was always a must and a very basic necessity, and it was present, without being mentioned, since tens of years, even in the cheapest consummer-class 2-way or 3-way speakers? Isn't this "disclosure", by presenting "a very basic and necessary feature needed in order to have at least a bearable and decent product, and of which the common people did not know", just a marketing thing which takes advantage of the common people's lack of electronics knowledge? 2 - Have you ever seen, even a consummer-class speaker, to have a 500 ms delay between the bass woofer and the tweeter? 3 - Upon selling Adam Audio, did the Sub 12, Sub 15 and Sub 21 had a 200-500 ms delay to the satelites? What was the delay between the lower frequency drives of the S5H and the tweeter? 4 - In order to win against the competition, do you spend more resources on creating a better product than the one the competition has, or on taking advantage of the common people's lack of knowledge and predisposition to being manipulated? 5 - The 500 ms you mentioned is an exageration, again, to psychologically manipulate the viewers. So, if you use the HEDD "Lineariser" to add 500 ms delay to the HEDD satelites, to bring them in sync with the sub, that makes the whole system very "slow", having a very high delay - in other words, the HEDD monitors are not good for studio use because of that huge delay - you hit a keyboard key and you hear the sound after 500 ms. Right? Of vourse this is not true ... there is no such a high delay in studio monitors. Mister Klaus Heinz, willing so badly to diss the competition, cut off the branch beneath his own feet. Thank you! P.S. - The psychological manipulation I always tend to see in this man's speeches and his techniques keeps me from buying any HEDD or even Adam Audio monitors, and makes me believe that those products might be worse than they actually might be. Psychological manipulation needs to be left aside, Mr. Heinz (being in speech or physical by mounting "linearisers" knobs on the back of the speakers), because instead of a boost in sales, it might even ruin the real work you put in your products and it might even diminish the sales. At least within the potential buyers who have a higher knowledge in the field. Transparency is the key to evolution!

Holy-moly you've done it! I am having my Precide ATM for almost 20 years and they always bothered me with their crippled sound range. The ATM technology was oh so promising and had such a potential, but it's first implementation as Precide made it was so very compromised... When you, HEDD popped out I was so damn excited. An look here we go! Second generation of your babies :3 Can't wait to get my hands on them!

Finally any easier changing mechanisms for the earpads in the heddphone Did you finally get the money to be able to produce a better earpad Swapping system
