Thanks for sharing Shervin!! Being open about this kind of things helps us all realize that everyone is dealing with stuff, so the default should always be to be kind!
Life is a never ending battle
This is great and can very much relate at 32. Found your channel a month ago and loving the content!
I just found this video. I'm 32 now, but found your wisdom pretty spot on. I guess in the end what matters most is to do what makes you happy. Chasing goals, being like the river (steady, disciplined), enjoying the present but reflecting on the past to learn and build a better future...Thanks for the inspiration, I really like the way you think.
Subscribed, really good videos! Cannot wait to see more come
Nice one! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Ive watched alot of your fitness tracker videos before coming across this one. this video should have more views its a great message that i related to, thank you!
Thank you for this video - couldn’t stop saying “same bro” but in a real shake-up manner.
I'm surprised this doesn't have more views! Thanks for the advice.
Just stumbled upon your channel. I can relate to your journey. Keep it up.
Great way to self analyze your past and how the changes you made can provide value to others.
I'm in my mid 30's now, wasted my 20's on drinking, and girls, that, uh, you wouldn't take home to mom. Still kept a fulltime job etc, but basically made no progress in life for that 10 year period. Doing well now, but to do it over again I'd buckle down and be serious, I'd be 10 years ahead of where I am now.
you rock Shervin 😎
thank you for sharing this. i've learned everyone is on their own timeline!
thanks for been real in the internet!!
Love this, very inspirational
thank you!! what other kinds of videos do you want to see from me?
This is lovely, useful and realistic advice. Thank you.

@@ShervinShares I’m really glad we crossed paths in life - I still have so much to learn! Super helpful video - let’s catch up sometime soon 😊

Thanks for this!
thank you for commenting!
As someone in their late 30s, these are still helpful strategies to practice as I make decisions in the short term and for the long term.
Thanks!
thank you!! i'm glad it was helpful, lmk anything I missed!
you're 100k subs is on the way brother!
Nice video man!
I have this maybe adrenal fatigue. I am 28 and my Hrv is hardly 10 during the day.... I had these mindsets...... I am broke in health and I cannot focus because I crash!!!!
Great video man
Thank you! Wouldn’t have been great without your help!
I turn 30 in less than 2 weeks.. Been reflecting on this kind of stuff a lot lately and had a feeling of being alone.
Thanks for this, although slightly vulnerable and candid, really helped break me out of this isolated feeling I've been having.
everyone has different unique and internal struggles. I'm less than 2 months away from 30, age is just a number!
@@ShervinShares I've got that high mileage body haha wish I could say it was easy but the VA has me rated for overall 50% physically disabled.
@@RyanNelson0402 i'm sorry to hear that
@@ShervinShares As someone who turned 30 this year, I really appreciate this advice. I think habits are important, and I feel I turn to alcohol because I finished my Computer Science degree 5 years ago, and still can't get a job in the industry, depsite living in SF. You feel like a failure, when you know what your capable of, and watch kids out of high school getting software engineering jobs at google and other big tech companies while you struggle. It's hard to stay focused through that mindset, but discipline is everything. UA-cam is a distractant. I should be gaining new skills to make myself marketable, and instead, I'm stuck in pointless politics every morning. It's hard to break those habits, but I know I have to find a way. Thank you for show us a better path.
You are speaking to my soul man
perfect hehe
Awesome!
Thank you!!!
thank you for commenting! what do you think was missing?
Glad I came across this video. Need to be more mindful over my environment
I’m stoked to see you in the comments!!!
Incredible advice
Thank youN
My health was in the dumps on my twenties. That quote is 100% true.
I’m stuck at a desk all day stressing at my marketing job. I need some change but gyms seem so “scary”. 😖
Very thoughtful
Thank you Leon!!! Glad to see you in the comments. What other videos should I make?
Thanks!
no THANK YOU!! you're amazing
Looking super crispy in 4k 👌
crispy 8k coming next week, 12k after that, VR next month :)
You are good person .
Good advice
thank you! anything you think I missed?
@@ShervinShares Never sweat the little stuff. In the end, 99% of the stuff you stress is little stuff. If something happens that is going to still affect you a year from now then you have reason give it your time. . Otherwise... it's "little stuff". It will soon pass and be forgotten. NEVER stress over the little stuff. When you make mistakes it's because you are taking risks which is a sign of growth. Show me someone who has never failed and I will show you someone who has never done nor accomplished anything. Enjoy the journey. I worked all my life to be a financial success but I realize after all those years it was the journey to get there and the people I met along the way that I value most. Today is the 1st day in the rest of your life. Make it count for something.
@@staff8518 I love this!
so, on the friends front, How did you separate from your college friends without hurting feelings or burning bridges?
also, love Atomic Habits!
that's a great question! honestly it was HARD...
1. Create physical distance between them - move across the city or to a new city/state
2. have a pre-written answer that says no to their requests, then over time they'll invite you less often
3. schedule other things you want to do so you're less likely to be able to spend time with them
slow process ;)
My background: I have a BS in Software Engineering, an MBA, and have started a couple companies.
If I go back for a j-o-b, how would I know if I am a good fit for IC role, Product Manager role, or Engineering manager role?
i.e. The people you saw who enjoyed and succeeded in the roles you had, how could you tell it was "the role" for them?
Such a hard question! I think you have to follow your heart. Only you know what is right. Do Tim Ferris’ fear setting exercise!!
@@ShervinShares Nice idea re: fear setting.
Shervin, you totally look like Tim Farris with the bald head & black shirt haha!
i'm the Persian version... new & improved 🤣
You and me both 😊
Thanks for CHURCH this morning!
just practicing to achieve "🎤 drop" status one day 😄
Why did u not like software engineering? I just started my journey at learning software engineering
i just wasn't in love with it! everyone is built differently & we need to chase after the things that excite us
@@ShervinShares im not in love with my job either. However, i also dont know what i love. Any advice on how to find out?
@@hetisbart the only way you can find out which fruit is your favorite is to try them all. i think that applies to jobs, friends, etc in life
I wasted my 20s.
Quit my six figure Software engeneering job
