- Today we're eating various Vietnamese street food with a new travel buddy! We begin the day with Egg Coffee at Cafe Giang, where we meet Nikhil. We join forces, visit the Temple of Literature and try two types of Banh Mi, snails with assorted side dishes, and gloriously golden Sweet Potato. At the end of the day, we fell in love with Vietnam all over again. Watch to see the food adventure unfold :)

oh no Mina when eating the snail you should eat the upper part and throw away the sand pocket at the bottom of the snail because that part is quite unapertizing and will leave a sandy almost rocky feeling in your mouth :))
+Vy Hwang Thank you for kindly explaining the details :) There was a language barrier, so we didn't know how to eat the food in the proper manner nor did we know 100% what we were eating with the snail!
Miss Mina oh, and the soup that you were drinking was the broth extracted from the snail boiling-process, usually Vietnamese would drink that soup at the end of the snail-meal to warm up their stomachs (snails are believed to make your stomach cold) and also to wash away the leftover smell and taste from the dipping sauce ❤️ anyway it's our pleasure to have you enjoy our crusine like that, i'm so happy and excited to watch your videos ❤️ if you have a chance to comeback to Hanoi again, i would be very glad to be your food tour guide 😆😆

I’m Vietnamese and I’ve been to a Asian garden mall and it’s very nice. Sometimes on saturdays I believe you have night market and they sell toys and there is music and a lot of food!

20.000 vietnam dong is around less than 1 usd. And 110.000 is round 5 usd. But the average salary of vietnamese is around 250-400, so it is not super cheap for vietnamese.
If you ever go to vietnam again, I highly recommend "bo cuong la lot". This dish is basicly herb leaves wrapped around meat and grill them.
