True though. My grandfathers second wife used to call me ugly and be really mean to me, physically and mentally abuse me when he wasnt aroud...it took me 29 years and therapy to overcome that being drilled in my mind from 9 years old.

My mother was told similar when she was young and impressionable and she would always recall being told she was “plain” and it had a terrible affect on her right up until she passed at 88yrs old. Parents need to remember their negative opinions have consequences.

I know right! There was a bit where she said her friend's parents were really smart and one day when she's older and more intelligent, she would look like them. It's such an innocent thought. Especially when, even today, there's so much prejudice and racial stereotypes

My cousins defended me♡ But we had to leave bcus they threatened to jump all of us. If anyone ever spoke ill about my bf I would of punched them square in the mouth! Still to this day over 30 years later she's still my bf♡ and I am SO proud of her and the beautiful woman she is! Only hate sees color..Loves sees hearts & souls! God bless those that love 💘

I know! I wish she lived in Tx i would make her be my best friend haha my 7 yr old daughters crush is black. ive had other moms comment on it negatively and the fury that overcomes me is absolutely insane. I cant imagine being black and how it feels to be treated that way when just watching someone else be treated that way is excruciating. It takes one ignorant dipshit to hate someone merely based on skin melanin. Smh... all i know is those moms are gonna be hella jealous when i have gorgeous, smart, funny, talented mixed grandbabies in 20-30 yrs 😆
I was suspended from elementary school for hitting a boy with my food tray for calling my friend the N word during lunch. The principal called my mom and all i heard thru the phone was the noise from Snoopy 🤣 she was at the school within 5 mins and we lived 30 mins away so she hauled ass. She walked in, gave me a high 5, turned to the principal and basically said shed contact every news agency in texas if they fully expelled me like they wanted to so i just got suspended. However, my mom waited 2 or 3 months and told them anyways 🤣 she was a reporter for a local newspaper at the time. It blew up all over Texas because nothing happened to the boy except me smashing his face. He didnt get in any trouble for calling another student the N word. Still pisses me off to this day....

Jessii Jessii she said that because a lot of us had or have that one cool aunt that knows what time it is, lets us do things our parents wouldn’t let us do, like let us smoke a blunt just to experience it and be done with it, takes us out cruising down the boulevard just to people watch, let’s us stay up late talking about life and her experiences so we don’t make the same mistakes she did, teaches us about the ways of the world, how to be street smart, how not to be fooled by the predator wolves in sheep’s clothing, teaches us how to fight for and speak up for ourselves, because maybe she didn’t have a voice to speak up for her. I speak for myself tho, that’s my interpretation of what I think she meant.

What she is describing of her birth is Shoulder Dystocia. Incredibly dangerous because babies can truly be “ strangled” while being born and usually don’t survive that. The oxygen deprivation probably caused long term brain trauma. She was meant to survive on this earth from the day she was born. Bless her ♥️

the story of her childhood friend really made me sad, that is how racism is taught and it’s horrifying to think about. She was strong and wise enough even at that age to form her own opinion & see that it was wrong. This is such a strong woman who has been through unspeakable things, and I wish her health wealth and happiness. I also hope that she sees her friend again one day.

I always feel so much better after listening to her. I wish someone would get with her and write a book. Not only about her life, good and bad but her outlook, basically it is what it is and you can't worry or be angry for things that are out of your control.
