The only thing I would advise when training elevators is that crews remember that the elevator is locked onto that floor unless you take it out of phase two (automatic recall to the lobby) or you leave your key and send it to the lobby (not a good idea). Once crews make the resource floor take it out of phase two so that the other responding units have a way to get up to the fire.

Lots of regulations,expensive stuff; avoid...; my brother's business went under,in part due to very expensive elevator breakdowns; like Bill Clinton once said if too much safety regulation makes a ladder too expensive,more accidents will happen,for people will not buy the ladder and improvise, chair on top of table, hanking on to ropes, climbing walls etc etc but the regulators don't give 2 shits, they,...well, they regulate.
