So I'm working on creating a tabletop RPG like Dungeons & Dragons but it's Pokemon, and I'm building my own region that's got a high concentration of Ghost Types, and this symphonic remix of Lavender Town has been PERFECT for helping me with my work on world building!
I, sadly, have yet to finish constructing the campaign. I'm brand new to the DMing scene, and severe Depression has made it difficult to work on it. I'm gonna start by running a published Pathfinder campaign to get me familiar with being a DM (Rise of the Runelords, a personal favorite of mine) and a friend of mine is going to help me get familiar with a ruleset that a group made for Pokemon so that I don't have to build up rules and mechanics from scratch. I very much want my Mashurin Region to be a thing, though, so hopefully I can get my muse back! I'm also working on managing my Depression, so that will go a long way :)
@@mickiblay1 good luck with handling your depression... I also fought depression... I still have to fight it sometimes... As it's something that will accompany you forever... But you can weaken it to the point that it's nothing more of a inconvenience than a rainy day... It will resurface at some point... It always will but if you stay strong you can live normally like anyone else... If I can do it... I believe anyone can... Best of wishes
I think this has easily got to be my favorite version of Lavender Town. Its epic, but in a quiet, hauntingly modest way. Perfect for ghost types & those who use them!
I love this orchestra, feels like Journey from Destiny 2 meets Lavender Town music. The beginning is sadder and just fills you with despair. The cello in the background followed by a drum and symbol gives a sense of purpose. The music becomes more uplifting in the sense as it seems like tempo increases. This alone increases the uplift from ruins feel. To sum up the music: It is better to keep going than to surrender.
Im listening to this at 4.21 in the morning and This music feels so unsettling in the darkness of my bedroom is it just me or is the image moving closer?
These remixes were the inspiration for a monster in my D&D campaigns, though not one that a player would wish to fight. Funeral golems, built to act as pallbearers for important individuals and to guard graveyards against necromancers and undead uprisings. They are solemn, beautiful constructs made of black stone and precious metals, each one consecrated by Tsashara, the setting's goddess of death. They typically move with a deliberate slowness, gently cradling their charges, as their movements cause a bell mounted on their back to ring.
@@donaldderrickii5405 Go ahead. I'd be especially impressed if you manage to come up with a statblock for it - my group tends to lean towards good, or at the very least non-munchkin, non-stupid evil, so none of them would even consider attacking a funeral golem. But it could make an interesting ally if a necromancer popped up.
@@lexsamreeth8724 You could also make a REALLY GOOD fight against a tragically dark necromancer and their funeral golem, with music like this playing in the background
I really like this song. I keep thinking does this song need a choir (not loud) just subtle in the background? It could act as ambience. I'm just curious if there was a version for it.
Do you, by chance, happen to have the ability to buy/download this song? I'd love to have the ability to listen to it while I'm offline, since I don't always have internet access while I'm working on my campaign.
i mean i feel like that is kind of always going to be the case with orchestral versions of this song. Orchestral renditions make the music, at least in my opinion, more powerful. more meaningful, and i think that demonstrates that true sadness. True hopelessness... is more powerful than any sort of fear ever could be.
Lavender town should be more sorrowful rather than scary, however without the scariness this theme wouldn’t work, one cannot exist without the other sometimes you know?
This is so beautiful! Is this free to use? Wonder if I could use a part of it for a project of mine... Great work which builds a sad and powerful emotion
