If the pedals were reversed LOL that would be nuts
Right hand drive is true JDM!!
And super, super, super dangerous to drive.
@@lukarancini1630 lol no it's not. I've had my right hand drive Supra for 4 years no problems.
Kevin Fuller It is, wether you like it or not, its dar more dangerous to drive unless you drive on the left side of the road.
I live in italy so the RHD Supra, is pretty dangerous.
@@lukarancini1630 in germany too
@@lukarancini1630 lol you're an idiot 😂😂
Side markers are NOT RHD/LHD specific. It depends on pre facelift and facelift
Pre facelift side markers are on wings (fenders), facelift are on the bumper
Also cubby hole is an optional extra on the supra, again not RHD specific
I'm in Japan and all JZA80's have side marker lights on the fender and no bumper reflectors.
jamierobsonYT wrong
jamierobsonYT You ar right it's not RHD or LHD it's all about the year of assemble or the facelift
@@jamierobsonYT Headlights position are different.
People are doing this "march against our rights" protest so why don't we start a protest to get these cars legal all over the U.S.
Oh Pulse honestly....we should
My prediction is when all the restrictions are lifted, RHD cars will soar in price and be worth more than LHD. They're just more exciting.
SadisticStang nahhh
Restrictions?
True
Same car, same excitement.
Isn’t the side markers a series thing? The side marks on the fender is 93-96 and the 97+ has it on the bumper and rear quarter.
Yakoo Hawj exactly their two different series both series have differences within them like interior to exterior designs
Yes for RHD, but for LHD the markers were always on the bumper and rear quarters
any JDM supra that is 96.5+ series 2 will have the side markers in the same position as the US supras also series 2 interior is different series 1 has the 3 normal gauges where as S2 has normal speed and tacho but also has an additional 3 gauges one for fuel, temp and depending if its a rz or sz you get a voltage gauge or a boost gauge
also most parts are off the shelf the only parts that might need to be changed are the exhaust down pipes
i have a PHR 7685 turbo kit on my JDM supra and i had no issues fitting it with the brake booster and clutch cylinder. also the JDM targa tops were only available in n/a 5 speed and the twin turbo were only hard top. also series one have different headlight and tail lights to series 2. basically the US supra from 93 got all the good cosmetic stuff and the JDM supras got all the good cosmetics in 96.5
That's dope AF man thanks for making this comparison video 😎🤙🏼💯
Love your channel man...if you ever come out to chitown let me know I want a ride in the supra...Come out for a ij port war out here. Keep the vids coming
The differences with side markers is series 1 93-95 vs series 2 supras 96-02. You should have noticed a difference in the headlights, taillights, and turn signals as well.
Well...I'm going with LHD. I need that Targa
Awkward Jaguar same
You should do more videos with moises, his reactions are gold 🙏🏼
We need some overnight parts from japan!😏
That’s the only way!
RHD is the correct side 😏
UgenixK of course
Agreed I love driving my 300zx TT on the right. You really get a lot of attention
Come to the UK then :)
LHD is wrong hand drive
Right hand drive is better
took me a weekend to get used to my rhd. Had exactly the same tendency to drift over to the left side of the road haha.
RHD cars are intended for countries with left hand traffic like the UK, Australia etc. You can drive a RHD car in countries with right hand traffic, it can be awkward sometimes to drive a RHD car in right hand traffic when it comes to passing other vehicles, parking garages and toll booths.
I think you should convert the right hand drive car from KMPH to MPH
defo would want a LHD supra but the price difference is insane, what i like about RHD is that the turn signal switch is on the right cause i drive with ly left hand on wheel and then i can chill my arm on right window edge :P biggest thing is im afraid i cant see whats going on much ahead and overtaking would be scary since here we drive on right side.
I was deeply tempted to buy one of these on eBay a week ago. Silver RHD out of TX.
RHD supra prices have skyrocketed in the past year; i bought my TT 6spd for 18K when i first came to japan in December of 2016 and i have been seeing similar cars to mine selling for no less than 30k in japan all day long, just about 2 weeks ago i saw a guy sell almost my exact car for 35k... i have also met people buying N/A Supras for 20k and the prices just keep going up.
Yeah prices are out of control right now.
yep and probably only going to keep rising...
Heman awesome video I have a question I'm speaking to a gentleman that has a 1995 right hand drive terrible super I meant just in purchasing the vehicle next week and not sure is the difference in value and what is the difference if you know please share thanks
Will the engine and transmission be a direct bolt on for both rhd n lhd?
Hand break(e brake) light is on if you look at the dash.
There are rhd aerotops out there, I’ve got one 😉 there are hard to find though
Yeah they are.
Loser.
My boys Russ RHD Supra has come a long way!!!!! Atta boy Chico!!!!! 💪🏽
HeyPaco good looking out bro! 🤘🏻
RHD Russ hard work pays off bro ✊🏽 keep doing your thing man
@Spoof Mario sounds like a jealous bitch tbh.... every anon on the internet is a badass when they can't be held to account for their words
I have a 1998 Supra it has the rear & front what you guys call them markers, we call them front side indicators & rear side clearance light, & mine is a right hand drive. So technically both RHD & LHD are the same the only time you will get a difference is what year model it is. Greetings from Sydney Australia
s1 (1993-1996) RHD have the markers on the fenders, s2 (1997+) is the same as LHD.
The euro spec lhd are different from your us lhd. I have the blinkers at the same spot as the jdm.
That windshield wiper flap @ 8:23 damn
It got me! He even told me it would.
LHD looks weird on Japanese sports cars for me
Hey guys so me being stationed in japan, ill hit on a few things as well. Hardtops are very frequent here. The only targas you will come accross will be the na autos or maybe a coupke tt autos. Also the side markers can be anywhere on the sides as they only need to be visible from the side of the car as a safety feature. Signal lights are different as well as alk signal lights for japanese cars will always be amber vice some of the stateside cars that sometimes have red signals. My tt 6 speed 1995 supra fit my T78 turbo in just fine as well and i know a few who have also gine BW single turbo with no issues either. I ave a new precision gen 2 going on soon and have internals from real street so i really dont think there will be too much difference in upgrading parts besides throttle cable extensions etc. Hope this helps
I drove my friends RHD Tsx and I was like extremely nervous
The front wheel housings on the Supra are pretty far forward, so there should be plenty of room on either side for the pedals. But a Corrolla or just about any modern FWD car would have the right wheel housing exactly where I'd want my foot, so the pedal would either be too far back or too far to the left. Even with the controls perfect, I wouldn't much like taking a left turn in a car like this in the USA.
The early model 1990 Supra indicators are on the side fender, the late model is same as the in US .
u can get a rhd na 4 speed here in the uk for £6.5k
then just do the turbo 2j and 350z 6 speed swap :)
Where In Fl u guys location I kno this is old video just baught my rhd Supra. Trying to meet new people thanks
What’s the difference ? Jdm fucking Hot Boi that’s what. RHD is life. I’m Canadian and we have 15 yr laws for imports vs 25 yr law. What happens as the newer cars become legal is the USDM cars get cheaper. Side note as they become 25 yrs old and legal in USA the price goes up .
If you have any questions about parts fitting call a Canadian parts supplier. We have shit loads of RHD Supras
so, would it be possible to convert a 6-speed, N/A from RHD to LHD without yaknow, spending the cars worth on it again?
I own one in europe, literally got it for half the price of a LHD and a third of a LHD TT. It´s usable and all but obviously incovenient sometimes and so on, i´ve been thinking about a LHD conversion for a while. Any ideas?
Anything can be converted
Where's the best place to buy one?
Damn.... I was hoping one day to get a supra over here and swap for a Lhd in the states, so I get my preferred lhd and someone gets their preferred rhd
great video 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching. Fun video to make.
LHD or RHD still a beast 😂
Thanks for watching.
The first and main mistake which is done by people while driving RHD or LHD, they pull vipers instead of indicators.
Sorry for the late comment but I found a LHD supra for $6500 (Canadian) but I love RHD. What do I do?
I've got a flare aswell came in my fairlady Z
Unfortunately in UAE RHD cant be registered :( been looking for LHD for sell for along time now :(
Bro I am lucky that india is rhd . I got rhd supra for cheap but lhd supra is expensive than rhd
are the exhaust all on the same sides
i have a 2014 Dodge charger srt8 with LHD and is it possible to change it to RHD ?
No idea on the dodge but the Supra would be super hard. I
Is the shift pattern the same as a left hand drive car ? Like first and reverse is in the same spot or is it backwards ?
gun-nut257 yes its all still the same. Youre just sitting on the opposite side and shifting with left hand.
Big Mo ok that's what I was thinking but didn't know
everything fits the exact same!!! your single turbo and down pipe will bolt right up is you swap a GTE motor
What year is the LHD supra
Hey man can you or someone explain to me the 25 year rule and shit, I can't find shit on google and I don't know anyone that can properly explain or at all. Can you daily anything above '93? Or do you need a license for it what's the deal with it
Once it’s 25 years old you can register it as an antique.
But are they able to be daily driven as of now or can you only register as a show car?
never thought about it. domestic supra says 180. the jdm says 180. but the jdm speedo is really only 111. since they have every cars speedo say 180 kph. i think cause of the not so gentlemen agreement. shoot if you could swap the gauge cluster thats what i'd do. i like some metric, but kph i dont like. makes it look like your doing way faster then it should in my opinion. i like meters over yards and metric tools over standard junk.
Mr.009mm Killuminati the clusters are swappable and I plan on doing it down the road. Another thing to take into account is that my car is a base model. The TRD cars come with a higher kilometer read out.
It’s still illegal, even once it’s 25. It wasn’t brought in properly so it will have to be exported out then reimported properly to be actually legal. To the dude with the RHD car in this video.
No up to date road flares in Japan = no legal registration.
What about "Check Engine" at 09:05 ? Is that a common thing or an engine is tryin to say us something ?
I was sitting here through the ad wondering wtf is a lhd and rhd hahaha
Hahah
Beware Supra memes are coming
Rhd for the UK and Japan we drive on the correct side of the road
Don't forget Australia
CarMods UK CMUK 😂😂😂 I know right over here lhd cars are cheaper
Correct is right because we drive on the right side of the road 🙃
Hi I don’t know if you saw me but I was at the Park and I didn’t get time to say hi but I was the kid in the Black NMCA shirt talking to Russ and I got take some pictures of the cars though and thank you and Russ for letting me take pics of the cars.
SPAZ Toxic You’re welcome man! Glad you enjoyed it!
No thank you man for letting me take pics and talk
SPAZ Toxic anytime man!
RHD originated from the old days of horse transport when swords were carried for protection.Being on the left side of a road allowed the right hand to be free to defend or attack.
Airbag delete ??
also emissions do not apply with a RHD because they are not required in japan
but in the states yes they do ;)
Emissions are definitely required in Japan.
Are both of these still considered a jdm even tho it’s on there left side, sorry car nerds I’m still tryna learn all these cars from across the world
Stepdad has a twin turbo aero that was imported from japan. Only thing is that it's a manual
Was supposed to say automatic
there is no part difference engine wise for rhd and lhd besides downpipe and oil catch can placement,i own a rhd and buy lhd parts if its not spesificly states its for rhd only or lhd.
the indicators are only on the right in japan, on the left everywhere else :)
That’s good to know
The active front splitter
I wish a little bit more time would have been spent being still to clearly see in the engine bay, but otherwise I appreciate that video, pretty informative and an aspect most people haven't shown yet
Thanks for watching.
That sound it makes when he shuts the door.. I don’t want a Supra anymore. After owning three SCs I gotta say I got my fix. I really want something better now.
Did he have to prove that the rhd Jdm supra was very similar to the US Supra.? Is that why he was able.to get it registered? I heard people depending on state they will let you register it if it's similar to a us model thanks in advance to anyone
Man OfGod you don’t have to prove anything, when the car is imported it sits in customs for a while so it can be inspected. All of that takes time and costs money, that’s why it’s a pain to get them here. Thanks for the comment man, hope this helps you!
US models has more trims and the non-vvti 2JZ’s GTE came with more power. Also the US one looks way nicer than the JDM version.
You don't have a clue.
Damn most of the rhd ones didn’t get the targa top sucks☹️
Hand Right Driving Nice
Thai
Thats a clean sz supra tho
There's no reason why they changed the wipers and turn signal, I would think it would be cheaper for them just to keep the orientation the same as everyone else
The passenger side wiper leaves a big triangle in the upper corner of the windshield untouched. There are some cars that use the same wipers and the driver just has to live with it. Others, like the Honda Civic, have the wipers move in opposite directions, so the whole windshield is covered and the same setup works find for left or right drive.
It's not that...it's the facelift or pre facelift and also depends on the year of assemble (1994 & 1997)
Wanna have a real good time , try and go through a drive thru
01GTB Daily I go to checkers or rally’s haha.
Guess u gotta have a passenger when u pull up to take the food when the window is on the right side ha
RHD or lhd Original NA vin cars are both not far off in price range. The real money is in the original tt lhd and the Original RZ tt RHD supras. These two example are examples of original NA cars, they are close in price in the market so when you guys talk about price difference these two don’t really come into comparison.
Lhds are cheaper because theres so many more of them it has nothing to do with legality. In Australia you can get a supra for like 15k or maybe 80k for a really really clean gte.
What would u call a F1
I love RHD more.
What's the difference? Oh, about $10-$15k 😂😂
tbh i prefer lhd it feels nicer to think as if you got the supra manufactured from the usa toyota dealership and also its much safer than rhd on us roads
We have a series 1 and a series 2 here. Has nothing to do with RHD or a LHD 1993 to 1995 series 1 1996 to 2002 series 2
Wipers & turn signals are on the correct side in RHD cars, but you call it "backwards." What is backwards, are European cars that are RHD but the wipers & turn signals are on the sides for LHD cars. Because the manufacturers don't swap them over.
Is there anywhere in the world where people casually drive both LHD and RHD?
These are two gens of the mk 4 Supra yes one is lhd and the other is rhd but the silver is made in a later year. The tail lights are different, the head lights are different and some of the interior is different. I hate how they described these two cars. I owned three and by far my favorite is the silver design.
what was the main difference between shifting??
Nick Silva it’s the opposite side 😂
Nick Silva the gear pattern is the same - biggest difference is shifting with your left hand.
roadracer46 🤙🏽thanks dude
Nick Silva errrrmmm I helped too
The 1993 pre-facelift supra has another difference from 1997 facelift supra. That is rear lamps. Just compare both so we can find it.
Because you trying to order parts for JDM from America. Talk to distributors in Japan, or Europe to get the parts actually fitted for the RHD.
Needs to learn the difference between series 1 & 2
Is it supra easy to drive?
AussieGuy 😂😂
He's wearing a Flag Nor Fail shirt, I have one of their Supra's :)
JohnnyGT shirt and hat! Hah, I have met Rob and Dana. Very humble people!
RHD Russ I meet rob not knowing who he was, lol! Awesome people, I purchased his brother Supra, Drew.
JohnnyGT that’s awesome man! I built my Is300 before this car, based off Rob’s build! It was awesome!
RHD Russ awesome! Rob is huge when I meet him. Thor came to mind. Lol.
JohnnyGT rob and I are the same height and same shoulder width. It was kind of crazy!
Supras look so damn good when they aren't touched
Thanks Hagar.
the right RHD supras are not rare for me bc australia baby
It takes 21 days to learn to create a new habit. You would be used to driving RHD in about a month of daily driving. Parts, get from Greddy or HKS Japan. In-fact both will get you the proper part for the JPN RHD Supra (or RX7). This nonsense/lack of experience is what dooms channels like this and only the same audience that knows nothing either watch these videos. Big singles are rare in Japan it's mostly an America thing. Most heavily modified Supras in JPN are still Twin Turbo not sequential
The HKS Manifold fits, but it only allows a smaller turbo due clearance of the strut tower. I don’t feel like modifying the chassis. Some of the stuff we talked about didn’t make it into the video. I’m well aware of what fits and what doesn’t, but the truth is, any company here in the US that I have spoken to will not give me a definite answer on fitment. It’s not nonsense or lack of experience. Thanks for your input though.
I own a 300zx Twin turbo RHD and I hot used to it in 2 days its just a matter of driving it :)
Got used to it in 5 minutes after driving LHD for a year :D
I got used to driving rhd in about half hour.
Do a 20 minutes cruising
I cruised for awhile it was hard to get use to.
Sik2jz lol I get you
Most of the differences you are pointing out are differences between facelift and pre facelift, not RHD and LHD
In pakistan all cars is right side
We’re getting more here in the states. It was hard to drive at first but after a bit I was ok.
@@BrandonJamesUA-cam most of the peoples including me r right handed so right hand can control very well on car stairing and on right hand side u can see more then left hand
I love too much the supra
I'm egyptian
