Bro, I finally bought one today. Not cheap at $700, but not losing value. Especially this model. Very tough to get in this configuration for a reasonable price.
How did you get one? I’ve been trying to find one for over a year now. I’ve signed up for online notifications at probably 100 different online retailers. I contacted Ruger a while back asking how to get one. They said they are shipping them out weekly. I don’t understand where they are going. I’ve signed up with all the large major retailers and still nothing.
@@craigrogers3163 I was on GB quite frequently and found a business that bought apparently 15-20 of them(noticed similar/same postings) and I bid on five at the same time and got lucky. The others sold for $730 and up.
I bought my wife a MKlll hunter, I dunno, maybe 15 years ago. She (and I ) loves it. I recently got myself a MKlV target. You are right, they are not cheap. I think they are worth it. My target and the hunter both are way more accurate than I could ever hope to be. Well worth the price because they will only increase in value.
Thanks for sharing. I still remember the first time I saw a Mark I at a local gun show. I naively asked the dealer, "Can I look at that Nambu?" It looks very much like one... with all the problems solved.
Beautiful ❤️ I had one in sight last Feb.. when I went to the local gun shop. I actually put a rifle on layaway.. got home and thought about it.. went back in March and was going to grab it.. GONE! I'll luck into one.. eventually! I'm certain they're a lot of fun 😁
Its an awesome gun, the only thing missing is a threaded barrel - for me its a deal breaker, but the moment they do one with a TB I am totally onboard - and price aint an issue.
That is a bag of worms. If you thread existing then you have to move the front sight back and it’s easier to buy a threaded model. If you have the scope mount that comes with you could try a regular cheap mini dot and see if you like having a dot. For the Halo styles or mini dot I like Holosun with shake awake but some who shoot competition,,,( reloading from the hot pot and Chis from 740 ) are happy with the cheaper ones. 🤷♀️ you’ll have to figure out mounts also, my lever has one that fits on a rail but it will sit higher.
I’m looking for the model just above this… has the carved grips… I intend to trade in my spotless Mark III (I’m also going to unload an original early version Sig P220 45.. I intend to replace that with a CZ 75 SP-01 9mm.. Getting old sucks.. My arthritis can’t take the 45 any more…
looks great. I'm thinking the Blued vs...saw in a gun shop recently and Wow. This looks pretty nice but never much of a stainless fan. Hmm, and the longer barrel would be nice but doesn't look at good. decision. Love my mark 3 22/45 Hands Down, especially the Feel of the grip but the take down stinks....I guess. I just don't do and externally clean it and it's been fine. I don't see that they make the Hunter IV in 2245?
I have been thinking of building a trick 2245 Mark 4 with the Tandemkross Kraken lower, check those out. Man I love the look and options of those things. The long barrel is really nice, I can nail steel at 50yds like I was using a rifle.
OK one question and the correct answer and I'm sold. I've had a MK II Target since 1982. Can't figure out why so many people have so much trouble with tear down. It's not that hard. I've loved and shot 10s of 1000's of rounds through it. Been wanting a bull barrel for ever but just never got one. My question is, does it use the same mags as the MK II? If so There goes the bank account! Enjoyed the video.
I have a MK2 and a MK4! The MK4 mags will work in the MK2 it is well worth it. If you get a MK4 you can sell the MK2 mags for a dam good price and just use the MK4 mags.
@@pawild5594 Definitely the same I take my 380 acp or my 40s&w ruger sr40c with me must of the time. Like see it change bc allow semi auto rifles for small game in vermint. That needs changed for deer also no reason why can't use a 300blk with 10shot or 5shot mag in a ar15 for deer.
“It really wasn’t an impulse buy”😂😂😂 The lies us men tell ourselves. “Rationalize” is the new “impulse buy”. Nothing to be ashamed of, we’ve all done it and continue to do it everyday. Waiting on my Target model in stainless with a threaded barrel.

Not sure what to tell ya. I found one at my LGS I'd been on the lookout for years.

@@pawild5594 I still want one 👍
But they’re not available in commiforna. 😥
that looks way nicer than the polymer frame model with the 1911 style grip

Hahaha, he’s in love. 😂 I like them too and have one barrel cut to match a suppressor as well as 16” upper. 👍
I'm considering having this one cut for a silencer. Wanted to ask your opinion on a super compact holo sight.. let me know what you think

Doing the 16” vid now. 😂
@@unclejim2330 that's what she said
I love mine. Got it last week with a bonus from the last site I was on. Had to locktite all the site screws, but I do that on guns anyway
This pistol is worth every penny.
That’s a beautiful gun I got the lite model for my suppressor
Just put the money down. 10 day wait. I am excited to add this to my hunting gear. What a beautiful piece of equipment. Thanks for the info.
Sad you had to wait 10 days. I walked out the door with mine after about an hour of paperwork with my CCW card.
Beautiful firearm! Think I need one!
Mornin man
I haven't owned these newest models. But like all previous!
The Standard will always be my favorite... nothing fancy, easy to use and deadly accurate.
@@pawild5594 If I had ta pick Id be torn between the 22/45 LITE and the 6 7/8" Government Target

Wow how's she treating ya??
Vq action kit yet?
She is beautiful and great buy.
I've been lusting after a MkIV since they came out. I've been very patient. Perhaps it's also time for me to aquire one.
Lol...lusting is a great way to put it...👍👊 nows the time bud...not getting any cheaper or more available...

How does it feel and compare to the Mark IV standard version in your experience.
i got the mk II with taper barrel but i dont care for the reassembly. after seeing this mk IV i want one
Ya its nice. I really like the Hunter model, did some shooting with G this weekend with a red dot on it...lights out.
Thanks for the review!

Awesome collection, I always wanted a hunter model. I think I'm going to purchase a lite model, mostly using for smallgame hunting!
I never got a box like that with mine!
Me too!! Had to have!!!!😎
Hello man fellow pa brother. Yes ruger makes one of the beat and famous 22lr iv always wanted one. So wish we use a semiautomatic pistol to hunt with
There is talk of it coming up for a vote this year. I'm hoping, I take it with me when hunting anyways.

I wish they would make these in center fire also.
One in .357 mag. would be wild. Like a mini Auto mag.😀

Installing a Volquartson trigger eliminates the magazine safety interface.
Samething happened to me, it was at the store for a week and know one bought it, so I did.
Where do you fine the ruger mark iv hunter I been looking for ever
Local store had it, that's why I bought it, because they're rare around here too

Spent 1400 euros for a mk 4 target with a threaded barrell in ireland had to import it least i can silence it
