I can always count on this show to put me in a better mood. Reminds me of the Saturday nights watching Red Green and Red Dwarf on PBS. This will always be one of my favorite shows ever.
I discovered Red Dwarf first. I was out in my office room one Sunday night and she came in and said I had to see this. She did not care for Red Green though.
Just watching 'Death in Paradise', rerun, trying to figure out if the older police officer is same actor that was the Cat in 'Red Dwarf'

Hey, same here! I think it was the first show he introduced me to at like age 5.
I’m an expat Canadian living in the USA and have loved the show for many years! Sadly I was hospitalized the day Red Green came to northern Indiana and I never got to use my ticket… 😞 At least the show lives on, for now, in his tours and, of course, his DVDs 📀.

The best the best the best kept me alive when I wanted to die. I remember I was a sophomore at lakeview high school and I was the most depressed and undiagnosed with severe seasonal anxiety disorder in history and some good ole farm boys I went to school with told me about it so I checked it out that night and I do believe it saved my life. I still suffer immensely with the disease but you get stronger every year so thank you fellas for keeping everybody laughing.

The "man's pledge" is what was in our wedding ceremony!! Yep, we are from northern Michigan... Grew up watching him in the 90's... Back when TV was worth watching.
Thanks to the Red Green show I always keep a couple rolls of duct tape around

Just don't use it to reattach your muffler, like my 'not too much common sense' step-grandson did some years ago !
I had already learned from McGuyver, but he has definitely helped my hockey game with the constant reminders to keep my stick on the ice.

Great memories in the 1990's. I worked at a garage in Rochester, NY. We had a guy who looked like you, Red. And another guy, the owner's brother who was rather like Harold. We would have a good laugh about the week's show. If you missed a show back then you'd have to wait for the rerun! God Bless!

I was able to see Red on his ‘This Could Be It’ Tour when he appeared at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati back in March 2019.

So many great segments. I was partial to the segments with Bill because I was a huge The Frantics fan. If you know who they are, then you are a true Canadian fan. They even had a short 1 season run on the CBC called 4 on the Floor, a sketch comedy show with Dan Redican, Paul Chato, Rick Green (Bill on Red Green), and Peter Wildman (Buzz Sherwood on Red Green).

Channel 6 was the Canadian channel and when I was a kid I watched that channel like a hawk hoping to catch Red Green.

I own the entire series.I Love The Red Green Show. I’m a die hard fan of the show and always will be. Hate that they stopped making the show. I guess that all good things have to end. God bless you for bringing so much joy to my life and so many other people.
My Parents friends wife got him the Box set for Christmas.. they produced that show for years.. I know a Canadian Man who's wife went to College with Red.. He must be in his Mid '70's

James Stewart , The Masons where I’m a member at do a lot of community service. They raise money for kids and volunteer a lot to help people. I honestly don’t know any weird ones in my Lodge nor do they take in members who don’t have good character about them. These other Lodges you talk about, where I live, they are too far out for me to attend. The Masons I know do a lot for people and take no credit for it. To be a help to anyone and do what you can for them is all that matters without taking credit. Just knowing that you helped someone is satisfied enough for them.
Me and my dad have been fans forever now! He and his dad use to watch this show when he was a little boy, his dad's gone now but me and my dad still watch the show whenever we find it!
I remember on late Saturday nights, about 9 or 10 pm, me and my dad would watch Monty Python, and then Red Green on PBS. Man those were amazing times!! We would both laugh and I would get crazy ideas about building stuff with the all powerful handy man secret weapon!
Thank you Red Green, for shaping me into the man I am today!

I'm a die hard fan from Maryland, USA, and a proud member of the Possum Lodge. Being a Red Green fan here is like belonging to some sort of underground cult. I missed him when he came to Maryland, but I sure wouldn't miss him if he came back one more time! Love ya, Red. You're family.

I'm 32 years old and when I was like 5 or 6 I wrote a letter to him and he wrote me back and sent me a Mickey mouse watch I wore that watch for like 7 years I still have it in storage . But I thought that was the coolest thing ever that he wrote me back and sent me that watch

I've always preferred British humor, as it takes a bit more thinking to get the jokes, being dry and sarcastic. I love Red Green, but it's all pretty low ball, tongue-in-cheek type humor.
humor no mater where its from is funny! Canadians have been blessed with some great characters but my lord every country has their urban/national heroes. SNL, that bucket woman, Mick Dundee, it doesn't stop, Funny is funny no matter what country you're from.

I wanna say something to Steve Smith and everyone involved with the show... You guys have gotten me through some very tough times. Your sweet, naturally funny characters, and quick wit, and especially the old-style black and white cutaways, helped to transport me to a better, safer, saner place. I spent the good part of a year on a viewing diet of mainly reruns of your shows, and old silent films by Buster Keaton. Bless you, bless you all.
