I love the opening. It stands apart from the others due to not opening in space, it gets you hooked because it feels like the film hits the ground running, and yet, you can still look at the film and go, "Yep, this is star wars."
If someone asked me to condense the Star Wars style into a few shots, it'd likely be this. The high contrast, the mood, the grit, the sound. It's all here and some of the best stuff we've gotten from the new movies.
The opening shots of Rogue One are gorgeous but I prefer Solo’s way of including the traditional Star Wars opening exposition but not in the usual crawl. Helps it felt more like a Star Wars opening but not part of the main saga
The music in this film is so good, the excitement and thrill that this film provided in its opening sequence and chase scene. I don’t know, in the theatre, I enjoyed myself more with this film than any of the sequels, it just felt exciting, like a real classic Star Wars adventure. I get that its a sell-out Disney merchandising prequel, but guess what that doesnt take away from it being a fun fucking movie
is it just me or does this film kickass (apart from Landos droid L3), like seriously this film feels exactly how a star wars adventure film from the 70s would feel like, action packed, great new locations unlike the sequel trilogy, and fun characters, I wouldve been down for solo 2 and 3 then to watch instead of the rise of turdwalker, rogue one and solo are seriously the best disney star wars films and work great as a duology between the prequels and originals
Jean-Carlo Tabares I think it fits thematically due to this not being a main film in the Skywalker saga, and yes I do count rouge one in the saga myself as its really just a prequel to episode 4 and takes place just before

How is it a lawless time when the galaxy is under imperial rule? Lol This would make a great post ROTJ time period after the collapse of the Empire. Hell when the Roman Empire collapsed that started the dark ages.
Well Star Wars Rebels was actually interrupted in 2018 because we saw that Ezra and Anakin are reunited after the battle of Yavin and the liberation of Lothal and so the franchise show us 10 years before meeting Qi'ra in Solo that she was the first person that she learn about Darth Vader. Now we are going to see the book of Boba Fett where we see 40 years old Qi'ra that she talks at Boba, Fennec and Omega about Ezra and Thrawn's defeat that we will learn the plot twist. After we saw the Mandalorian season three we will see Obi-Wan series that was set one year later after Solo because we will see Qi'ra that she react Anakin tried to defend little 10 years old Ezra from Maul and Thrawn
One of my favorite openings
What is wrong with you?
@@cirejc2235 Liking how the movie opened? The score, the way they do the opening text, all blends nicely
IKR, just as little as the visual of the star destroyer being built/repaired got me hooked, and it just got better from there!
@@cirejc2235 Stfu you idiot

The Boys in the class: It's a lawless time
I dont care what anyone says. This is one of my favourite star wars movies
I like this movie
Same, I love it, as much as others hate it.
It's certainly not my favourite, but it's a fun (if inconsequential) action romp.
Same

This was the most exciting opening I’ve seen in starwars
Revenge of the Sith and this
Coruscant battle

1:24 the music i was searching for
I know it gives me goosebumps every time
It's called "meet Han"
Would have loved to have seen more star wars story movies with that opening in them
One of the rare times in the Star Wars series where the epic opening credit montage takes a backseat.
The opening shots of Rogue One are gorgeous but I prefer Solo’s way of including the traditional Star Wars opening exposition but not in the usual crawl. Helps it felt more like a Star Wars opening but not part of the main saga

I love the dash rendar vibe I wish it was shadows of the empire.
Perfect introduction to the young Han Solo on the streets of corellia
Before he became a smuggler he became a scoundrel
I wish I can watch this movie in theaters again , so dark that I can see clearly in its cinema quality .
love you bro

Always open a Star Wars movie in space. Always.
No we don't need the same old thing repeated over and over
@@KNG-fm1kj no. The classic star wars opening is what makes a stars wars movie a true star wars movie.
@@cirejc2235 I'll have you notice how this is not a mainline flick but, in fact, a spin off. Spin offs are meant to be different by design.
@@eccentricorbiter1390 true, good point.
@@cirejc2235 This movie is more like an star wars science fiction movie which is not meant to be like the others. It's meant to be the same universe.
The intro looks really cool, but it doesn’t fit for a Star Wars movie
It’s the only Star Wars film that doesn’t begin in space.
Bibbstar 123 really?!!! Imma have to check...
Parents React pretty sure
Parents React well it’s the only film where the opening shot isn’t in space. The first scene after that isn’t always in space
Bibbstar 123 I think you’re right that’s pretty awesome. Is it the same for TROS? I don’t remember
