I want them to get a new commander! I think people don't play them due to not having any or no support! I think destroying any permanent is powerful, but I feel like people read that effect and think you're a target now.

@@Dsparky121 unlikely that necrotic ooze with devourer is good. After drawing 10 cards and getting to 6 mana minimum to x=3 on commander and reanimate. We'd be left with 59 nonland cards in deck, which must have a total CMC or 120+-. And we can't play any creatures. So av cmc is 2+ on non creature spell. That deck sounds rough. For cEDH that's kinda terrible. Not to mention very weak to interaction and it worsens general card quality.

Turntimber Symbiosis doesn’t feel great when you are paying 3 life for the equivalent of a basic forest but cards like these allow the deck to function. There are also cards like Massacre that let us cheat the cost but still have relatively high costs which sees play in cEDH lists. Also rarely do I have a game where the whole table is at 40 life by turn 3, fetches, shocks, crypts, vaults, pain lands like mana confluence, tymna’s, toxic deluges, fire covenant and many many more reasons. I think it’s safe to assume your 3 opponents would have about 100 life which you need to deal with in ~60 cards for about 1.6 CMC on average, and when you consider cards like the ones I mention above I think it’s more than doable No clue If the deck will be viable but it’s definitely a very real gameplan which potential
to be fair, it's not that broken if your only strategy can be BTFO by an exile graveyard effect, which every player will hold onto when they see Stickfingers.

i use Stickfingers as a back up plan in my current Black/Green deck that focuses on life gain, direct life damage, and token generation. I generate squirrels. I sacrifice squirrels. I gain life, my opponents lose life. I just need one more card to create the infinite Death loop that ends the game with me, double, triple, or quadrupling my health, while putting the 1-3 people i am up against to 0.

Ik slimefoot, ashnods altar, and any kind of death trigger like zulaport cutthroat or blood artist with chatterfang out leads to infinite token production with sac triggers to ashnods making 4 mana (one off the saproling and another off the squirrel chatterfang makes for infinite life gain/drain

With the Gitrog combo you mentioned, Gitrog says "whenever one OR MORE land cards are put into your graveyard from anywhere, draw a card" meaning even if you Mill 2 lands, you draw 1 card. The combo still works obviously, but when you said you draw equal to the number of lands put in there from the dredge it bothered me a little, so figured I'd point that out.
7:34 gitrog says "one or more lands", so each instance of dredge 2 can only draw a single card even if you dredge 2 lands, very important for anyone wanting to combo off with getfrogged
7:36 slight correction: If you mill two lands with dredge you draw one because Gitrog says "...one or more...". Not a huge diff since most people just go through their whole deck anwyays.
Great video! Just one minor rules critique about the dakmore salvage+frog+discard outlet interaction. You do get to mill 2 as many times as you like and every time you got a land you get to draw but if you hit 2 lands off 1 dredge of dakmore salvage you still only get 1 draw trigger
And the Golden Pig for OldStickfingers is Unbound Flourishing. It says, Whenever you cast a permanent spell with a mana cost that contains {X}, double the value of X. That means even if you paid 2 X, you are still revealing up to 4 creatures to go into your graveyard. As an added bonus the second half of Unbound Flourishing says; Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell or activate an ability, if that spell's mana cost or that ability's activate cost contains {X}, copy that spell or ability. You may choose new targets for the copy. This means if you play with another fun Golgari card in this deck like Fiend Artisan, you will get to use it to search for two creatures of the same mana value and put them on the battlefield. With enough creatures in the graveyard you can really make this hurt by say grabbing a Jarad Golgari Lich Lord and a Disciple of Bolas, for large amounts of life gain and drawing and if you have say Vito in play that is alot of life gain and life lose for opponents.
This is going in my Kathril, Aspect Warper deck. Turn 4 Old Stickfingers, Turn 5 Kathril with potentially 2 to 4 keywords/+ counters. This is great later in case your graveyard gets nuked, and you need to fill it with creatures again.
Songs of the Damned is amazing in this deck. Have 17+ Creatures in your Graveyard, Songs of the Damned, then Tap out what mana you got left And Cast Torment of Hailfire At bare minimum with the Songs of the Damned thats 15 Repeats not counting if you don't have more lands, a Sol Ring, An Arcane Signet, or a Lotus field sitting around. (Or a Cabal Coffers)
Actually a nice tech card for a Nethori/Biollante: dump more creatures into your graveyard if you want that mass revival effect from Nethori. and it’s also a free revive off Nethori’s effect, though you have to be careful about how many creatures you revive all at once. Still a free possible 3/3 or more depending.
Most people think about combos and broken stuff upon seeing this. To me, a proud jank player, the first thing that comes to mind is how this works neatly with (and really nicely enables) Undergrowth. It, surveil and riot from among new Ravnica mechanics need more love!

Green has a lot of ways to instant speed shuffle your graveyard into your library. I know you’ll have to refill your yard afterwards but at least it isn’t exiled and you’re still able to compete

Astralfirework blessed respite from MH2. For 2 mana at instant speed. Barishi does it when it dies but only saves your creatures. Still if you’re playing a graveyard deck you can prob sac creatures at instant speed. Discarding one of the big eldrazi will do it. Cranial archive is another one elixir of immortality. There’s ways to protect it for sure. I run a lot of them in my colfenor deck
You could go super casual with this and have a knights deck with Haakon, Stormgald Scurge, allowing you to put your graveyard to work for you, and use altar of dementia and altar of brood as win cons
There are some more creatures that deal with the number of creatures in the graveyard Ghoultree, Splinterfright, and several in black. Might be interesting to see a deck built around that part. Actually that Filth would be really good with Urborg, Tomb of Yag.
For Triskelion, would you actually need to leave two +1/+1 counters? Wouldn't it work to just ping 3 things then remove the fourth counter (to ping) which would destroy it since it's toughness would be zero? Or do we specifically need to do damage to triskelion for Mikaeus' ability to work?
Looks like a really fun commander! Can be broken but can also be ran in a deck with a lot of fun & powerful creatures and re-animation. I already run chainer so not sure it's different enough for me, but then again I already own a bunch of the re-animation spells for if I did want to give this a go.
You could just run Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion; then have all mana ramp, resurrection spells, and draw spells. You’d win very quickly running just those 2 creatures in the deck.
I already have an extremely tuned mimeoplasm combo deck revolving around necrotic ooze combo. I literally never play it since it just crushes people with the combo or reanimating something oppressive like nezehal, Jin gitaxis, or vorinclex by turn 3. I’ve been looking for a reanimator commander that I can build that isn’t oppressive but also satisfies my reanimator itch. Was thinking Feldon if the third path but will probably run a dredge old stick fingers deck with stuff like jarad, mortal combat, living death.
I got a skeleton tribal list that could benefit well from this card. Currently i have Hogaak as the commander but this would probably make it more consistent.

What if you had cast stickfingers for x=1 without a single creature in the 99 and mill your whole deck. Could something like that even work? Maybe you have one creature that cares about that effect that you have to cast before this effect.
My honest opinion: Forget Commander, thinking of even Pioneer and Modern, you pair this creature with Izoni, Thousand Eyed, and Memorial to Folly? What do you think? Still too slow for these formats? I am desperate for Undergrowth to work as it's a beautiful mechanic.

So, I’ve looked into this a large number of times, and I’m fairly confident in saying that if a creature exploits itself, it dies before it’s second ability can activate. That means the Sidisi combo doesn’t work, or at least not the way you want it to. You’d have to exploit something else
Exploit doesn't happen prior to Sidisi, being on the battlefield. It triggers as a response to him hitting the battlefield. At that point and before the exploit resolves, Sidisi becomes a perfectly targetable option, because you already control him on the battlefield and exploit states specifically that you may sacrifice a creature, not another creature. You would then pick Sidisi, because you control him and he is on the battlefield at the time of your choosing him to be sacrificed, that triggers the exploited ability that lets you search for a card and put it into your hand. Infact you may also pay for and tap your Strionic Resonator and copy the search ability and double tutor off of Sidisi. Hell, if you had a Strionic Resonator and a Lithoform Engine you could triple tutor off of him.
I'm a bit sad that old stickfingers isn't a scarecrow. Curious to see the evolution of that tribe.

going from the dnd set to this is like a baby being compared to a professional boxer in power.
My honest opinion: Forget Commander, thinking of even Pioneer and Modern, you pair this creature with Izoni, Thousand Eyed, and Memorial to Folly? What do you think? Still too slow for these formats? I am desperate for Undergrowth to work as it's a beautiful mechanic.

Most decks have graveyard hate that wipes Old Stickboy out. If not, they better get it.

So, I’ve looked into this a large number of times, and I’m fairly confident in saying that if a creature exploits itself, it dies before it’s second ability can activate. That means the Sidisi combo doesn’t work, or at least not the way you want it to. You’d have to exploit something else
Exploit doesn't happen prior to Sidisi, being on the battlefield. It triggers as a response to him hitting the battlefield. At that point and before the exploit resolves, Sidisi becomes a perfectly targetable option, because you already control him on the battlefield and exploit states specifically that you may sacrifice a creature, not another creature. You would then pick Sidisi, because you control him and he is on the battlefield at the time of your choosing him to be sacrificed, that triggers the exploited ability that lets you search for a card and put it into your hand. Infact you may also pay for and tap your Strionic Resonator and copy the search ability and double tutor off of Sidisi. Hell, if you had a Strionic Resonator and a Lithoform Engine you could triple tutor off of him.
This will find a way into my Grist deck.
Definitely putting this in the 99 of my Muldrotha deck if it doesn't end up being too expensive
