    I love yarrow too. We’ve been growing it and drying it for years. If you ever write your lovely sweater pattern I would be interested in buying it as others would as well. All the best!

    Love your video and your projects my dear!! You are too cute!
    I am afraid of German short rows!😂
    I am working on a blanket for my friend’s son as he is getting married in September. They want a totally black blanket, so I too have to pick times with lots of light to work on it. It is a very nice pattern.
    I purchased the Coran cardigan pattern and am excited to get started on that. Happy Knitting and Thank You Martina!❤

    So much inspiration in one episode!! I just bought the Corran pattern. Slightly tempted to start one now in a plant yarn, rather that get going on a wool cardigan I had planned. I'm not ready to give up on summer just yet.
    I made a few cotton dish/face cloths recently from Purl Soho. Such a great palette cleanser project. And useful!

    I’m in love with your gardigan!!!! The colours are so beautiful; really timeless but also modern and cool. The crochet cuffs are so cute, and i’d imagine they’ll be hard-wearing, so perfect for gardening. You have such a good eye for colours and i really admire your focus on ethical and nature-friendly crafts:)

    Hey Martina...I'm sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I've been watching all of your UA-cam episodes, but just haven't gone on the computer to comment. I am only about 1/2 way through this episode and I had to stop and say how much I LOVE your potholders...and I love the way you just jump in, you aren't intimidated, you just do it! Beautiful...I've been really getting into crochet lately as well. Experimenting with some new washcloth patterns for my soap business, in the process of making a ruffle facecloth this afternoon for a customer who is picking it up tomorrow with her soap order. Well, back to your show, thanks for everything you do & you always inspire me! Oh...I'm loving all the new herbs I learning about this summer...Bee Balm, Borage, Chamomile, Calendula, and Comfrey. I'm getting ready to process some Bee Balm, Comfrey, Plantain, Wild Lettuce, and Feverfew into teas and tinctures. I made my first fire cider about a month ago. I thought you would enjoy hearing about how my herbalism pursuits are going. Hope you have a relaxing summer, I have been taking a break from Instagram as well (other than posting items to sell), there just isn't enough time lately. Trying to slow down and take time to process everything I'm learning. We spoke to a realtor last weekend, so now we know what to focus on this year, what to get rid of and what needs updating on the house. We're hoping to move next fall.

      Oh Sue, so nice to hear from you. I love your enthusiasm for herbs and medicinal plants, we pretty much share that love and passion for our botanical world.
      Oh yes, so many of us are getting into crochet these days, I guess it's the summer🌱
      Thank you so much for always supporting me 🤎

    Lovely episode as always, dear Martina! I’m sorry you’ve been going through some stressful times, it’s good to listen to your body and take it a bit easier, doing what feels right and skipping what doesn’t! Good luck and hang in there!!
    I love how you have the courage to modify things like the button band! Whenever I hear you on something like that, I think, yeah, I could do that too!!❤ I would opt for keeping the pale pink stripe at the bottom of your hug sweater. I always have to remind myself in the summer how dark and bleak it is in the winter… a subtle pop of color could be nice😊. Its beautiful! …. And your yarrow tee. Oh my. Simple, elegant, stunning. Truly beautiful. Love it.❤❤
    Could you please show us what your garden is doing this year??? Happy summer time to you!

    • @wegrowild
      @wegrowild  Рік тому

      Oh Rebecca I always love to read your comments 🤎it's true, winter has a very limited palette of colors, I'll keep that light pink stripe to remind me of Spring 🤍🌸 and yes, you can modify any pattern, anyone can do it, we just need to try🤎
      Sending you lots of love

    There is a long running joke in a small sock knitting circle I am in that if you knit with black yarn you must REALLY love the person you are knitting for! hahaha I use a soft grey and refer to it as black sometimes because that's as dark of yarn as I will go!

    i got close to finishing a cardigan today and realized i had to just rip the whole thing back because it wasn't working how i envisioned it. i happened to be watching your video at the same time and i felt like i was comforted by your perspective somehow. i thought to myself, "its just part of the process," rather than feeling super unmotivated like i normally would ripping back a garment. going to search for a new (free) pattern now and see if i can start again. thanks for sharing your projects :). happy knitting

    ciao Martina bella, so lovely to hang out with you, knit and watch your beautiful projects. Love the gardigan! the potholders too, especially the swirly one. For Micke's sweater, if it really turns out too large, who knows if it is possible to steek it on the sides, or some other kind of surgery procedure to fix it? When I knit in pieces (which is how I initially learned, through magazines, I would sometimes have to invent some tricky ways because, even with a gauge the fit did not always come out right) Love love your yarrow tee! so elegant and delicate, if you feel like it you could really make a pattern out of it one day...I also really love the striped sweater at the end, and also the summer cardi you are wearing...I really love how you do your own thing and invent stuff along the way, modify, create, that is my way of approaching knitting as well...oh to have more time and more hands and do ALL the knits!! I am purposefully working on having less wips at the moment because I love to start new projects (like many knitters) but then sometimes it makes me anxious, and I tend to forget where I was (and I heavily modify like you) so I try to keep different wips just enough because they are for different moods, different levels of attention, etc...un forte abbraccio 🌺🌺🌸🌺🌸

    Your gardigan is so cuuuttteeee!!! 😭💕 so many beautiful projects as always. For micke’s sweater- if it ends up a little too bit maybe you could wash it with warm water or dry it on a warm setting to see if the cotton would shrink a bit?

    • @wegrowild
      @wegrowild  Рік тому

    for me the dog barking was barely noticeable. I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it.
    I'm a bit worried about the alpaca jumper because I heard people say that 100% alpaca isn't recommended for sweaters especially seamless because of how much it grows, unless you hold it double with a more structured yarn like mohair or wool.
    waiting to hear how it goes for you...

    Hi, just wanted to say be careful if using linen in your pot holders - it's not flame retardant like wool is, so it might catch fire!

    • @wegrowild
      @wegrowild  Рік тому +3

      Oh no🙈likely the yarn I used is half wool and half linen and the other side of the potholder is 100% cotton. I hope it will work well anyway but thank you for the info🙏
