- Not Only... But Also was a BBC British sketch comedy show starring Peter Cook and Dudley Moore that aired in three series between 1964 and 1970.
On this video - a mix of a few of the the best musical interludes with Dudley Moore on piano and showing a full starting title sequence.
What we had on our television screens then was really rather special!
Enjoy the amazing talent, infectious humour and above all the brilliant music!!

Jerome Kern - I Won't dance.
Jule Styne - Just in Time.
Cilla Black - sings - Let there be Love - If I Fell (in Love with You).

Thank You for sharing this. It's not only delightful but also soulful. Thank You for Being ❤️
My pleasure, and thank you so much for commenting. xx
A great pianist
Lol😂😂😂😂😂great humour 😊
It's Peter McGurk on bass. Jeff Clyne came later (briefly) before Peter Morgan. The First tune is actually called 'Not Only, but Also' (B side of the 'Goodbye' single) and the ballad before 'If I fell' is called 'Folk Song' Thanks for posting!
Thank you.
I may well be wrong (!) but isn't that Pete McGurk on bass? He died rather young, I seem to remember.
Great stuff - I recall loving this as a 9 year old, before I realised I love jazz!
Thank you Paul x
Sadly Pete McGurk committed suicide in June 1968 - I remember the shock of it at the time when I read it in the Evening Standard. It was due to a broken love affair. On a happier note, what a great version of "I Won't Dance"
@@algiles881 Thank you, how sad about Pete McGurk! Great pain and sensitivity underlies great talents. Dudley could have beautifully rearranged the whole American Song Book. xx
