I think it was they way you started the vlog. You started it on a Friday and then so much happened this past weekend. You and Grant are going on a trip and getting ready for it. You taking us with you to get stuff for your trip. Grant being his super sassy self which I love! I think it’s more of your vibe ,you can tell you are extremely happy and excited! Not that you recent vlogs have been bad or anything I just felt like you guys have brought back a little of your magic. I know this sounds silly, but this vlog just brought me back. I have been following you for a long time and I’m so happy for you guys!
I had constant contractions, too. They were just annoying with the hardness coming and going. I think it really helped with my labor. I was dilated to 5 cm two weeks before my due date, and then was almost fully dilated when I went in to deliver!
Tears in my eyes, your happiness is simply contagious in this video, wishing you a magical babymoon & a seamless rest of your pregnancy until little baby is here 🤍 best of luck LeighAnn
Literally couldn’t be happier for you! And I’m so excited for this little girl to arrive 🥰 have an amazing time on your babymoon, you and Grant deserve it! X x x
I didn’t like the diabetes test when I had to do it with my first. But that was because the only flavor I got offered was lemon lime and I hate anything that flavor. It’s because when I was a kid anytime we got sick my Mom would make us drink 7-up for hydration. So I associate that taste with throwing up and being sick. With my second it was fine because they had the fruit punch flavor. I am so happy for you and your Hawaii trip. I hope you have the best time ever.
this is how i felt about my sister-in-law's pregnancy: even though you told us when you got pregnant so long ago, it's SO different to see the baby moving. it makes it so much more real. i'm SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND GRANT. and can't wait for you two to have baby time once she gets here. my partner and i send you all the love
Glucose test is super different when you don’t get to refrigerate it and drink it at home and choose your flavor. Myself and anyone I know got warm orange and sitting in the lab for the full hour :/

Grant’s new haircut looks awesome. Shows off his curls and looks super sophisticated. I hope you have a fabulous trip. You’re going to love Maui, it’s magical!
I am one of those lucky ones who had a traumatic experience with the glucose drinks. I had to do all of mine fasting- morning sickness, and all that sugar on an empty stomach does not go well for me. I got super sick, hot, sweaty, and shaky. On the 3 hour one it was so much worse- all the sweaty shaky choking back vomit feeling extremely weak and nearly fainting... I was so sick and as soon as the test was done I ran to the bathroom and threw it all up. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes both times. It's not so much the drink but the effects that traumatized me.
Exactly. LA’s snark about the drink was unnecessary. A lot of people really struggle after the test, especially when they have to go back to work or deal with little ones at home. I agree… It’s not the drink itself… it’s the after effects. They can be horrific.
Yeah I felt a bit uncomfortable with that whole part. It felt kind of mean spirited/making fun. Everyone is different and no ones experience should be belittled because someone else’s experience wasn’t the same.
I think the gestational diabetes test depends on the drink and also how you are feeling. They come in a concentration of 50, 75 and 100. I had the 50 which was absolutely fine, it was like a sweet lemon drink. My 2nd pregnancy was the 100 mixed with horrible morning sickness. It was hideous and i felt sick for the rest of the day.
What?!? They gave you the drink ahead of time!!!! That's amazing I took it and had to wait in this quiet waiting room to get my blood drawn as I slowly crashed I wanted to pass out right there... It's not a bad drink but it wore me out and I was starving after. You look adorable and have fun in baby moon!!!!
Currently sitting on my floor with all my hiking stuff surrounding me while I pack for a camping trip this weekend. I felt this packing struggle so much 😂😂 I'm so excited about Hawaii for you!! How special that you went for your honeymoon and now babymoon❤️
When I had my first gestational diabetes test, it's the one hour exam so you drink the drink and then they take out your blood in an hour. And so when I tried it I'm like okay this is pretty sweet but like I don't understand why people are freaking out about this it doesn't taste horrible. But then I failed the one hour exam so then I had to take the 3-hour exam, which they take out a while blood then you drink the sugary fruit punch, And then every hour they take another vial of blood for the next 3 hours. And so for me the association with having to take my blood out multiple times made me grossed out by the drink. And also you're supposed to be fasting when you take the exam so I think depending on what time you take the exam the super sugary drink on an empty stomach can be very nauseating especially if you're pregnant. Cuz I know for me at least I was always hungry when I was pregnant. So those are just my two cents on why I think people exaggerate the gestational diabetes test drink.
I had those contractions constantly and I had to be put on bed rest and medicated to stop them. They weren’t painful just my stomach would get hard. Had it with both my pregnancies. Was not fun not being able to do anything.
I've had 6 babies and always have almost daily contractions second half, ften going on for hours at a time. Mine always tended to hurt. They start earlier each pregnancy. Unless a timed pattern, I don't even think about labor. If random, even when so painful I can't breathe, I know it's not labor. With actual labor, it is a consistent set pattern, every 10 min, or 7 minutes, which goes on with that exact timing until it drops to shorter spacing,. It is pretty incredible how our bodies do this in such exact time patterns when you think how humans existed long before the telling of time, but all of the workings of the human body & especially the creation of life is truly amazing.
You look so gorgeous LeighAnn, as always, but your glowing even more! So happy your tests came back good and you guys are heading on to your baby moon! Enjoy Hawaii ! I thought I couldn’t love your Luna Bean more, but watching her come up to you for kisses was too adorable !!♥️🐶
Random but a friend told me that some places don’t wax pregnant people because you’re so much more sensitive down there during that time. No idea if that’s true for everyone but if was def more painful when I was pregnant
I hope you are enjoying your babymoon!!! I remember getting my legs waxed in my third trimester. That superstar aesthetician was on her hands and knees on the floor to get all my angles without me having to lay on my stomach or back too long. Amazing things get accomplished during pregnancy🥰
I have gestational diabetes and the 1hr drink is fine its the 3hr drink that is horrible... taste like straight syrup that gives you the jitters for hours
If it’s any comfort, with my 3rd (now 2 months old) I was having constant contractions like you. Then I ended up being induced. After 3 days of induction I was only 2 cm dilated and no where near close to labor. Yeah I was exhausted at that point and had a csection. This one didn’t want out. Did not know there was such a thing as a failed induction
If you watch documentary "the business of being born" it shows that most inductions lead to C-section. Because pitocin is so strong and awful it leads to epidural which slows everything to stop and then lots of times baby becomes in critical condition and this leads to C-section. I wish this was common knowledge!
@@harleyheartstop8082 Not true. Mayo Clinic says 75% of first time moms who are induced have successful vaginal births. The Business of Being Born spreads a lot of anti-hospital propaganda.
@@harleyheartstop8082 my first was a successful induction. My second a csection. Am my third was the failed induction. I did not get an epidural for either of my inductions. Don’t stress mama! I had contractions all day every day with all 3 pregnancies and they were full term and healthy. Enjoy Hawaii and the time together solo!
I had tons and tons of painless contractions with all 5 of my babies and never went into labor early. It didn’t matter what I did I just had them all the time starting at about 20 weeks every time. I delivered at 39/40/42/39/38 weeks... my babies were 7.5/ 7.11/ 9/ 7.13/ 9.2 ❤️ Enjoy your trip!! Also this is the second teen witch reference I’ve seen this week so I guess i need to watch it again!!
I’m built similar to you and experienced the same thing with my first pregnancy! Constant contractions starting around week 20. All day, everyday. I was induced at 39 weeks! So hang in there, it’s annoying, but hopefully harmless! I really think they helped prepare my body as I had an amazing delivery. Good news- I’m currently 24 weeks with my second and not experiencing the Braxton Hicks near as bad! You got this mama! Enjoy Maui!
“I’m styling it, you’re wearing it” made me laugh so loud I scared myself. That Grant. Love how happy you are!! PS… The rap battle scene in Teen Witch. Can’t look away.
I had to do my glucose test twice, once at 10 weeks and once at 28 weeks. I chose to drink the orange one both times. Thankfully, my test went well both times, but the upset stomach I had was awful.
I hope you have an amazing time on your babymoon! 💕 I might have gotten misty eyed when I saw that you were in Hawaii on your IG story, you and Grant deserve it! That's how love works! 😊
When you were holding the open drink and gesturing while talking I was so nervous haha. I got so sick the first time from the drink I almost fainted and I had to fight throwing up. It was horrible. I was too scared to tell anyone because I thought they would tell me I had gestational diabetes even if my test came out normal lol (it did!). The taste was fine though. It reminds me of a Koolie like you were served at lunch in school. Edit to say I had soooooo many contractions during pregnancy, especially my last one. I would get them back to back with some breaks for a couple hours all day long for some reason even when not doing anything at all. All three of my babies were at least a week late with my last being almost two weeks late!
I usually never comment but I came here to say that you look stunning. I’m also so so happy for you and never miss a video. 🥰 I had the orange sugar drink all three of my pregnancies and didn’t think it was terrible 🤷🏻♀️. I ended up with GD all three times and managed it with my diet. Even though it sucks to not be able to eat whatever you want during pregnancy it wasn’t the worst thing in the world and I’m grateful that was the worst hurdle I ended up having.
When I was pregnant I had HG awful "morning" sickness. So yea that test was very hard for me I threw it up 2x and had to redo the test. I was so grateful to be pregnant after a miscarriage and months of treatment but doesn't mean it wasn't hard.
I have the same problem with my belly. It's a chore and I get out of breath easy as well. Since I am so short and petite, it's harder to put on clothes and shoes. Thankfully, I have my husband to help with the simplest things like clothes and remembering appointments.
I wish I had fruit punch for my gestational diabetes test. Mine was lemon lime and tasted like sprite syrup. Not traumatizing, but definitely not delicious! Enjoy your trip!!
Try not to worry Leighann, I had my son preterm and he was my second child, we had no clue, but I had a lot of those Braxton hicks too. They said, at the ultrasound, my baby was 6lbs at 32 weeks guess what he came the next day unknowingly to us my water broke, but he was 8, lb born completely fine so the ultrasound was completely off in my case and preterm. All will be good enjoy your trip and vlog as much as you can please. love the new sofa.
Yeah try not to stress, some of us just get the Braxton Hicks all the time. With my first my contractions started at 3 months and holy snot that scared me, but didn't really mean anything for me still went over my due date with him! Pregnant with #2 right now and again Braxton Hicks started at 4 months. Dunno, but what my midwives told me was "it's common but not 'normal', but not something to necessarily panic about".
When you said Grant looked like a dentist, it reminded me of the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors. Didn't he wear black? Man Steve Martin played that role so well.
We went to Kauai for our honeymoon too, so beautiful. All other trips to the islands have been to Maui, more stuff to do, just as gorgeous. Have a wonderful time!

I’m so excited that we’re due so close and both having girls! I’m a week behind you so I’ll be doing my glucose test next week actually lol
Packing right along with you (but not for a baby moon 😉). Have fun, be safe, can’t wait for that vlog!
I hope you have an amazing time on your babymoon! 💕 I might have gotten misty eyed when I saw that you were in Hawaii on your IG story, you and Grant deserve it! That's how love works! 😊
💙💙💙 you are so sweet!! we're having such a great time. we've planned for so long, it feels like a dream!
I was told to get a sweet tea, drink it on the way to the doctors office...I'm in SC...our sweet tea is SWEET!
Immediately after watching your vlog I turned on Pluto TV and watched Teen Witch, love that movie.
I hope you have the best time on your babymoon!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I wish I had fruit punch for my gestational diabetes test. Mine was lemon lime and tasted like sprite syrup. Not traumatizing, but definitely not delicious! Enjoy your trip!!
Oh I hope you have the best time in Maui!! It's one of my favorite places on the planet.
All will be good enjoy your trip and vlog as much as you can please.
love the new sofa.
i’m so glad everything worked out for you guys!! 💙
I had to do it twice and I have a strong stomach but I almost threw it up!
Yes on the wedding dress!!
Hearing you say ‘miss baby, she’s here’ makes me so excited! Totally agree that drink wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be haha!
Packing cubes are the best! Once I started using them I can’t pack without them!
Hope you’re enjoying your Baby-moon! 💜💜💜
God bless! You are so beautiful pregnant, I haven’t seen you on my account in so long and I’m so happy for you! 🤍
We went to Kauai for our honeymoon too, so beautiful. All other trips to the islands have been to Maui, more stuff to do, just as gorgeous. Have a wonderful time!
