      I have Lupus SLE too, Darlin and I have healthy kids!! My oldest had a slight murmur, but he was 6 weeks early.
      The murmur was gone by my 6 weeks checkup!

      Right!! I swear at the beginning.. cuz she found out so early/announced it so early I kept thinking she was farther along than she is… and a new vlog or video would come out and I’d be like “ok 👏🏻🍿 what’s the update? 8 weeks now? 10?” “…. Today I’m 7 weeks…” and now she’s in her 3rd trimester!!! 😵😵😵

    It could be helpful to get a few packages of those cheap, thin receiving blankets. They come in super handy. They're great for the hot texas climate, as just a little barrier between baby and air conditioning during naps. They make great burp cloths. They dry really fast in the dryer. They roll up really small in the diaper bag. They're really useful.

    I lived on Maui in the '70's. Ask some nice locals if they can direct you to the only crystal clear water fall and pool on the island. Its on the way to Hana, fairly close to the town. Its in a lava cove covered in impatience flowers on a rocky beach. Hint: near Hana airport. The best teriyaki on the planet is in Hawaii, even the homemade plates of it at the registers at gas stations!! You must consume!!

    Hey fellow pregnant mama! I'm 34 weeks and I gotta say the burping thing sounds similar. Have you had any heartburn? I have a high pain tolerance but found out that the burping was when it was almost all the way up... acid reflux. Might be worth trying antiacids. Also, taking magnesium or putting on magnesium cream is great for calf cramps!

    When I get migraines, with aura, mine are like season 1 or 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. It’s like a really blurry beauty filter, that starts on the outside, and works it’s way in. I know when I get it, I will need an urgent care visit, within 12-36 hours.

    • @alicewilliams____
      @alicewilliams____ 3 роки тому

      I want to laugh at the RuPaul comment but I’m sad for you about the urgent care visits 😳

    • @AllyssaButhmann
      @AllyssaButhmann 3 роки тому

      @@alicewilliams____ I am very lucky. I only get about 2 migraines, per year, if I avoid my triggers, and stay hydrated. Since it’s so infrequent, and the best treatment is a simple shot, I go into urgent care for a toradol shot. When I saw season 1 of Drag Race, I went, holy crow this is exactly what my auras are like. It’s helps people, without migraines or auras, better understand. I have a lot of chronic illness problems, like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and any way to help people, either medical professionals or non-medical, helps them better understand how to help me, and others like me. I wasn’t always this good, at advocating. I have spent the better part of the last decade, discovering my illness, finding treatments, that work for me, and trying to educate people, who show interest or are in medical training, like medical or nursing school. Spending an extra two or three minutes, now, could save another patient the six year it took me to get properly diagnosed, and I know I am one of the very lucky and quick ones. Most chronic illness patients spend 10-15 years going from specialist to specialist, and going nowhere fast. It took me about 4 years. They called me crazy, but I refused to say that my illness was “just in my head”. Now, I help others, on their chronic illness journey, find ways to better help their medical team, understand and test what is going on. I would never wish chronic illnesses on my worst enemy. However, it’s what I was meant to do, and I love meeting and helping so many people.

  • @AllyssaButhmann

    Calf cramps & restless legs can be a sign of ferritin anemia. It’s a known side effect, but is rarely one of the first thoughts, from medical professionals. It’s a simple fix, of eating more red meats, spinach, fortified cereal, or other high iron foods. My muscles start off feeling tight and “pre” Charlie horse feeling.

    I had to pause the video and post this before I forgot.. I am 61 so it's been more than a minute since I was pregnant. I VIVIDLY remember the first time I felt my baby move.. it felt, to me, like a butterfly.. just a flit.. I remember my mother sharing with me that this is what it felt like to her too, a tiny butterfly. When you sit back and think about it.. you realize just how fantastic women are!! What our bodies are capable of... growing another human being is an amazing feat. I think you are glowing Leighann and I can't believe that in what.. 10 short weeks.. we get to welcome another lovely woman to be into the world. Can't wait to see your footage from your babymoon. Sleeping on your left side is one hundred percent an accurate thing in pregnancy. I was on bed rest in the hospital and the nurses would wake me up at night and flip me over and the fetal monitor would come right back up. Happened again in my second pregnancy as well. My husband was great at gently telling me to roll over at night.

    That peach fuzz I feel like is an age thing. When I got to like 35 that happened and I was like well I guess I have this now. But the good thing is even though I was scared to do this for a long time and I watched a ton of videos before I did it, I bought some of those eyebrow shapers the little razors from the drugstore and you can just take it off your face or your chin or your neck or wherever and it does not grow back crazy. Trust me I've been doing this for years. Thankfully it just comes back fluffy blond. There's also something called the hair removal shaver by tweezer Guru which just sucks all that stuff off. I keep it in my purse!

    So I went thru the same issue with contractions. My kids are now 27 and 23 so back then they labeled it preterm labor or irritable uterus. Tummy balled up, felt awkward but didn’t hurt. I did end up dilating to a 2ish around 30 weeks. But back then they made me be on meds to stop them (which didn’t work lol) both boys hung on til 36 6/7 and were healthy. I’m glad they don’t slap people with bed rest and meds these days. I’m sure it isn’t necessary. You are just a tiny little thing like I was and I feel like our uterus doesn’t know how to handle the babes lol!

      That’s pretty much what it is. It is not a practice contraction, it’s just the belly and the skin tensing to allow the belly to grow. It happens a lot a this time because that’s when the belly expérience a fast growth. The way she explains the feeling, I’m curious to why the doctors don’t explain it better...

    My migraines are the exact same! I remember one morning doing my makeup and then suddenly being like why can’t I see!? It’s such a weird sensation.

    My baby did the same during the 4D imaginary. Actually the gynecologist was complaining to my baby that she kind of dived lower so that she was not visible on the screen anymore. Saying not yet born but already a rebel. 😁 Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well ☺️ my little lady is already 4 months now, it’s crazy ☺️

    I was only able to snack throughout the day. I couldn't eat a full meal from second trimester on. Also in my 3rd I had to be careful about eating right before I laid down

    I'm 21 weeks with my first baby! I started pretty much as slim as you, but I'm only 5'1 so I started to really show pretty early. My belly button completely stretched out by 16 weeks and it's now almost a full outtie! It weirds me out so much LOL

    That’s amazing that you’re almost completely in the clear for the heart block! I’m 14 weeks pregnant with lupus as well and tested positive for the SSA antibody, definitely scared the heck out of me when she called to explain it. Crazy how I’ve followed you for so long and have many commonalities! You look so healthy and happy ♥️

    I'm 29 wks & 4 days. I have painful contractions now as of this week. I had back to back lightening & fire crotch from my vagina to my butt hole last night. I also have the radiating back contractions that aren't painful. I'm literally just waiting until my water breaks. Standing, sitting, or laying down is uncomfortable. Doesn't make a difference. Certain movements & coughs make me piss my pants. Even if I just emptied my bladder. My body finds pee to squeeze out. I wear pads during the day, bc if I wear them at night too, I'll end up w/ a yeast infection. However, some how... I can miss the pad too. If I'm driving, the pee either shoots up the front of the vagina or straight up my crack. Same w/ laying down. I'm just miss pissy at this point. Using ugly comforters & towels stacked on the bed, in the car, wherever I may have an accident to where I can't run to the bathroom quickly or stand, cross my legs, & squeeze my thighs extremely tight together. I am also swollen severely. It's not my blood pressure. It's either pregnancy or the swap of my new insulin since I have gestational diabetes & it's an immune response to the insulin. Had this issue too when I started insulin. The greatest part about pregnancy, is feeling my daughter do this jack rabbit 🐇 thumping. Sometimes it feels like fingers or toes in my extreme right or left pelvic areas moving in a tickling type of way.

    I have the burping thing too and it is so miserable. I haven’t had that in other pregnancies.
