My son and I rode for the 1st time 2 days ago. The pretzel knot ending really unique and surprising. Plus the fact this park is mostly empty = multiple non stop rides
I'm happy I have this credit on this coaster, a few times actually. It is one of the craziest Arrows ever built. Fun fact. This coaster has the one and only bowtie element.
While I definitely do not believe that Marineland should remove Dragon Mountain, I think that they need to look for a supporting coaster or two. Both a Premier Sky Rocket II and a Gravity Group Family Coaster are not terrible ideas for this park.
Yeah sadly the entire works maybe up for sale. Sadly due to virus discretionary spending including travel really took a hit especially in Ontario. I think Marineland was the only Canadian amusement park opened. Wonderland didn't open at all last year. Even Niagara falls proper wasn't really opened for business.
They actually do have a 👪/ kiddie coaster simply called the 🐞 coaster. However the entire park has always been a contentious one around here due to the animals. So for any potential new owner the first order will be addressing the animal issue as its homes to many beluga, killer 🐋, many seemingly underfed 🐻, and 🐧.
There actually is a new owner (the former owner's wife), and she is investing money into animal research and determining how to improve animal habitats in the park. Last year alone, she donated $10 Million, which also shows that the park is profitable. Since they are teasing a New for 2022 attraction as well, I can see what is in Marineland's future, and that is success.
i went to Marineland when i was young, like 10-12 years old, and i remember being terrified by those big drops in rollercoasters. Well, i really liked it in the end, and when i was there, it was a slow day, so i was able to redo it like 8 times in a row without waiting! The part at 2:05, the cosmetic shell part around the track wasn't there back then, I've read that when the rollercoaster opened, the cosmetic stuff wasn't done yet, so the volcano part wasn't there and was only added MUCH later in 2006, and there was supposed to have waterfall parts on that stretch after exiting the first tunnel a 2:30.
I rode that coaster back when it first open. I was young, 12 or 13, and remember there being no vegetation present. It was definitely cool being on a coaster which followed the contours of the ground so much. The last loops out of the long tunnel always stuck with me.
'Twas my first and still favourite roller coaster, and I've come to realize why is because, besides the couple of loops, the ride is otherwise fairly closed off yet open in the view of the ride. Nice POV, by the way! It takes me back to a dozen years ago! 👍
Wow; that's running WAY faster in the last half! Those midcourse trims have really been adjusted wide open! So cool. It's been closed since mid 2019, so hopefully it'll be open next year in 2022!
I did this ride I was so nervous because the sideways flip, btw a couple time banged my left and right on thing you hold on, during a time where you get so much speed I tried lifting my head up that failed horribly. So if you’re nervous for this ride don’t be it’s the most fun ride ever and enjoy the moment.
What’s really really weird to me is I once had a dream about a roller coaster almost exactly like this, but I thought it was just a dream and couldn’t actually be a real rollercoaster because of all the trees so close to the tracks, that it would take too much maintenance to trim all those trees around the tracks (or at least that’s what I thought!) I’ve never been to Canada in my life but I rode this ride in my dream… Anyway Rest In Peace Kiska you didn’t deserve your 13 year isolation and cruel treatment. 💔
@@Coaster_Focusafter what marineland did to them animals they lost them selfs a costomer im never going back ill stick to canadas wonderland marineland sucks
This roller coaster looks fun to ride with all the tunnels and turns, however I don't think a ride named "Dragon Mountain" does not fit very well with the park's theme. When I think of MarineLand, I think more of an aquatic theme.
It does actually get fairly high attendance for a family owned park. It’s just on crowded days, you don’t notice it because the whole park is the size of a national park. 😂
@@wendyokoopa7048 The park is very bad, so much walking, terrible rides, and animal cruelty, worst park in North America and one of the worst parks in the world

I really hope this doesn't get closed. It's such an interesting quirky roller coaster. A one of it's kind coaster for such an otherwise insignificant park. Would be a shame if it closed down.
Weird ride. I needs 2 chains ⛓️ for the lift which gives it a unique sound. This is probably because the chain dog is might be heaver so it bounces less. It also has only 2 inversions, the butterfly( this might not be the name so pls correct me ) a unique idea for a inversion. It sould be used on a new ride.
@@Coaster_Focus one day when I go to Marineland I'll definitely plan on riding this cause it's really fun kinda similar to dragon fire from Canadas Wonderland
