ok y'all lost me.. the handle you removed had white and teal clips for the tailgate release rods. when you reinstalled the handle, it had black and red clips. did you get a new handle as well?

All I need are these 3 wires (250-8401 & 250-8403) to enable my factory touch screen radio display to display the reverse camera on it, correct?

im confused with this video, if this truck is prewired should it be that the only thing need to do here is install the camera to the tailgate harness and plug in the connector that was plug in to the camera knock out because everything else was pre wired allready

"Pre-wired" unfortunately means different things to different vehicle manufacturers. For the Toyota Tacoma and Tundra vehicles that are pre-wired, you will find a connector underneath the truck bed, and another connector in the passenger cabin - rarely does the harness at the back of the truck connect directly to the in-dash touch screen. A jumper harness such as the one provided in our kits allows you to connect the cabin connector to the back of the radio. The connector on the Tacoma is behind the shroud on the driver-side A-pillar, while the connector on the Tundra is above the overhead console/sunglasses holder. You will find the Tacoma connector steps in the following video: ua-cam.com/video/3QrWDbTcib8/v-deo.html Please let me know if I can be of any other assistance. Why does the tailgate change between removing the handle and reinstalling the handle?
What's the difference between the first one you show and the second one, other than the obvious harness connection in the first one that is missing in the second?

Oh, and the handle itself, too.

Can I still quick disconnect the tail gate with your system?
