I have yet to buy the camera, and I've never used V-LOG. As soon as I have the box in my hands folks are going to expect me to use it and know what I am doing. Your demonstration is exactly what I need right now. Yes, I will spend the $s for GamutLUT on the first day. Very well presented. Thanks.
I’m in love with your video style. Please don’t stop, I believe you’re on the right way.
JUST what I was looking for! Thanks for your trouble creating this vid. :)
Great video, thanks
Thanks buddy!
Thanks for that 😊
Thank You!
Good job
Great Content! Keep it up :)
J'ai lu sur plusieurs sites web que le Lumix G90 à la fonction de LUT de visualisation. Pourtant je n'ai pas compris comment l'utiliser sur ce boitier ?!
Woah, what speakers are those?
du coup on filme directement depuis le profil GAMUT sur notre boitier et non VLOG c'est bien ça ? et sur notre logiciel de montage on converti egalement en GAMUT et non en rec 709 ?
So do you like gamut or the updated baselut better? I used gamut for the longest but one thing i experienced was that my reds were never truly red. they leaned more orange. I got called out on it with on project and I never came back to gamut.
I still very much prefer the Gamut LUT. I love the way it handles skin tones and also doesn’t over saturate the green parts of my image like some other LUTs I’ve used. I haven’t had any orange shift in my reds but that’s just my personal experience.
Can u give me the gamut lut for free
i was looking for the conversion lut for the panasonic lumix s5II you should rename ur video around something like that? idk cuz there is no videos on it that i could find but yours
Appreciate the feedback! Though, my goal with this video was to cover V-Log more broadly and not necessarily limit it to one camera!
now in 2023, how do you feel about camera choices... coming form a GH3... is it still worth it to go over to Gh5S or are there other cameras you think one should consider now, like gh6 or Sigma FP, or Black Magic P4K...etc? thanks for sharing what you think is worth considering in 2023!
There are so many great options for cameras in todays market and as usual it comes down to your needs and preferences. Some great cameras to keep an eye on are the Panasonic S5/S5ii/S5iix GH5s and GH6, Sony A7iv and FX30, the Canon R6, and the BMPCC 4K/6K! All great camera with their own strengths and weaknesses!
I am trying to get the nicest 709, but failed. I would like to try it. Where can I get this picture profile? Thanks
I’ve updated the link in the description to download the VariCam LUT Library. The old one was broken. Hope this helps!
what program do you use to edit your videos?
Adobe Premiere Pro!
I bought the gamut lut I’m just having a hard time with exposure
In V log . I do a lot of talking head shots and I have studio lights and 600+ iso is just over kill 😭
Expose dead on bro, if your lights are too hot/over exposed work on diffusing them. Iso 640 is the base for v log. That’s very low by most standards
Use the built in meter or worse case just put the iso in auto expose which I would not recommend but will work
@@guidedvisionsmediathanks man!
Just to add in two points:
If you're finding ISO640 is too high for your studio environment, grab a semi decent ND filter. I have a pretty good one from Nisi (I think) which is variable and comes with an additional ND which sits on top, giving it extra cutting power. Was not the cheapest, but it doesn't create the dreaded X shape and is basically on my lens the whole time.
The other trick, to support what @guidevisionsmedia said about exposure, is that there is a toggle-able spot meter (on the S5, anyway) which I mapped to one of the custom buttons. This means I can quickly check the exposure of the skin (without turning to false color on my monitor) and dial in the exposure. This has been invaluable to me and ensures I get it right pretty much every time.
Problem 1.. how is a LUT loaded onto camera..
Thanks
its loaded into your editing software afterwards
Seems these LUTs don't work with the GH series V-Log?
GH uses VLOG-L the only one in this list that is compatible is the Gamut LUT
Can u give me the gamut lut for free😊
