I lived in Mexico for five years as a timeshare sales person,. This is great advice. Just keep walking. Otherwise, be prepared to be coerced into a timeshare presentation and spending on average $25,000. Pay for your transportation ahead of time.

Tip when returning from CANCUN.1- Get there 3 hours early minimum before departure. The lines are horrendous to check in your luggage. Then you have to fill out a form online with the slowest WIFI I've ever experienced. It is definitely an interesting experience.

I came back on 12/5/2021 from Cancun through Orlando...I had the following documents: COVID test result, Custom form filled out, and the Mexican custom stub...First thing the TSA agent said was I ONLY want to see your passport...nothing else was checked

@@3Days3Noches Yes. The ADO Bus is their public bus system. Very modern big tour busses with A/C and TV. Rates are Puerto Morelos for $6USD and Playa Del Carmen $11USD
YES! The ADO bus also goes to Cancun and is very cheap, reliable, and comfortable! It also runs every hour so there is likely to be one shortly after you arrive!
Renting a car is completely safe and reliable as is taking the local charter bus (ADO). Have lived in and have family in Cancun and public transportation is very safe. Renting a car is also a great option if you plan on doing multiple activities and various locations.

We actually were there a few days after the shooting. Don’t forget the media plays it up too they don’t want you vacationing and giving money to other countries lol. I always feel safe there. There are shootings everywhere now these days.

The Barcelo was very nice on the adults side and we wandered over to the family side and seemed nice as well. The Caribe has swim ups. The Grand at Moon Palace too is great. So many to choose from!!

such a hassle, what happens if you somehow test positive? like a young kid tests positive and now the whole family stays there way longer than anticipated. What if you cant afford to stay extra? work? school? People just wanna live their lives again...such a 50/50 shot on these tests
I know! I agree. I was supposed to take my family to Mexico but didn’t want to risk him missing that much school. At least they shortened the time of quarantine but keep Hoping they will stop testing.

I thought CDC said if u are positive within 90 days before departure, you can go back to US without taking the test. But using positive result and letter from the doctor office?
I believe you are right on that but I would check with the airline because when I was reading about it I wasn’t clear on it and If the note had to be from a certain type of doctor etc.
Thanks for watching! If you are going to downtown at night I would say go with a group and also arrange transportation that you can trust and will even wait for you while you are in the clubs. Watch your drinking as well. You always want to be aware of what is going on. We were there until 3 in the morning once and had no issues but I was with Spanish speaking people and we drank in moderation. Lastly just like in the US or wherever you are don't leave your drink and don't accept drugs from anyone LOL!! I actually felt safer there than in Newark, NJ.
I’ve never seen a shuttle but all Of the car rental desks are right when you get out of the airport. I’m sure there is probably a small shuttle bus for the individual rental agencies maybe.

I actually haven’t been to too many hotels there. Just remember that some of the cheapest hotels aren’t the best either. I’ve only been to Sun Palace in that area! I’ve heard Iberostar, secrets, Royalton are okay too in that area. Airport transfer definitely use Nacho Tours. Info is in the video we made about it!

It depends where you are staying. Done resorts make you pay to quarantine for 14 days. Some pay it but you can’t leave the room for anything. No booze either :(

Is the Mexico health questionnaire completed by each family member or is it just one account or registration per household? When how many hours or days in advance should it be completed? What time or day were you at the airport? as it looked really crowded and busy. Thanks for making a comprehensive and informative video.
Thanks for watching! So every member has to fill it out. The day of is fine. But not the day before. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon! Imagine what the weekends are like. Read through the comments and there are some people who said it’s a zoo so prepare! :)
Hi! They only required it for departure. You have to show the QR code to get in the security line. When you get to the airport after you have checked in and gotten your boarding passes you start going towards the left and then up the escalator. It can get jam packed up there with the people who did not know about the health questionnaire and are filling it out so have it ready!
A bit off topic of this video but I was wondering if the all inclusives for around $300 a night are worth it versus an AirBnB for around $100 a night? I've never traveled to the area so I have no idea. Thank you for doing these videos. They are quite informative.
Ooh that’s a good question. If you can speak Spanish and are a bit more adventurous it might be but then there’s alot of other research and prep work that you have to do. I love the all inclusive because it takes the guess work out of everything but if the food and drinks aren’t good then why bother right?? Lol. My brother stayed in downtown Cancun at an Airbnb and loved the experience but he’s more adventurous and rustic then I am lol!!
We never stay in resorts. We rent condos using Airbnb. We have lots of space ( specially with kids) and there are lots and lots of condos with great amenities. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish, lots of Mexicans speak English. We have been travelling to Cancun every year since 2015. You will have a much better experience if you stay away from resorts.
@@gigitoronto29 I'm interested in visiting but worry about safety. Heard about the incident where the people on jet skis opened fire and another recent violent shooting in town. The armed police on the beach are a bit comforting but not sure if it will happen again.

If your hotel doesn't then there are lots of kiosks in the streets to get your tests. Im at the Cancun airport as we speak on my way to Orlando

I use Verizon and Mexico is included in our plan and the service was good but I always tried to use the WiFi at the resort

It depends on where you are. But most resorts require them at the buffets. Definitely at the airport

Antigen cheaper than PCR test,my was 50 bucks at the resort

The resort will always know which one. We did a PCR and it was fine but the requirements can change!

Is the Mexico health questionnaire completed by each family member or is it just one account or registration per household? When how many hours or days in advance should it be completed? What time or day were you at the airport? as it looked really crowded and busy. Thanks for making a comprehensive and informative video.
Thanks for watching! So every member has to fill it out. The day of is fine. But not the day before. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon! Imagine what the weekends are like. Read through the comments and there are some people who said it’s a zoo so prepare! :)

Is the health questionnaire for arrival or departure from Mexico?
Hi! They only required it for departure. You have to show the QR code to get in the security line. When you get to the airport after you have checked in and gotten your boarding passes you start going towards the left and then up the escalator. It can get jam packed up there with the people who did not know about the health questionnaire and are filling it out so have it ready!
Is arriving at the Cancún airport two hours before a flight still enough?

Yes! It is not US so you must have a passport

You can enter mexico without a passport but when you coming back to US you need one

A bit off topic of this video but I was wondering if the all inclusives for around $300 a night are worth it versus an AirBnB for around $100 a night? I've never traveled to the area so I have no idea. Thank you for doing these videos. They are quite informative.
Ooh that’s a good question. If you can speak Spanish and are a bit more adventurous it might be but then there’s alot of other research and prep work that you have to do. I love the all inclusive because it takes the guess work out of everything but if the food and drinks aren’t good then why bother right?? Lol. My brother stayed in downtown Cancun at an Airbnb and loved the experience but he’s more adventurous and rustic then I am lol!!
We never stay in resorts. We rent condos using Airbnb. We have lots of space ( specially with kids) and there are lots and lots of condos with great amenities. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish, lots of Mexicans speak English. We have been travelling to Cancun every year since 2015. You will have a much better experience if you stay away from resorts.
@@gigitoronto29 I'm interested in visiting but worry about safety. Heard about the incident where the people on jet skis opened fire and another recent violent shooting in town. The armed police on the beach are a bit comforting but not sure if it will happen again.

Everyone must take the covid test 24 hours before no exception, also keep all paperwork you get on the plane or they will charge you for them..

Does the covid test have to be a certain one ? Can it just be a at home rapid test ?
Check with the airlines. CDC says it has to be a viral test but I’ve seen airlines require different things.
