Resident Evil 4 is a 2023 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. A remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. 6 years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City.
Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States. With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is sent to rescue the president's kidnapped daughter. He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers.

Some details I noticed in my playthrough:
- Ashley becomes more confident as the game progresses. At the beginning she's scared and nervous. When you have her unlock doors from the other side she's hesitant and unsure. By the end of the game she assures Leon that she's "a master of unlocking". At times she will also taunt enemies.
- Ashley or Luis will cheer you on if they're with you at the shooting range.
- Slight spoilers for this one: After Saddler takes Ashley, Leon's veins stay dark instead of going back to normal, despite the fact that he's no longer being controlled by Saddler. They're visible from that point on until the parasite is removed.
Luis is the homie we all wanted
regarding the first detail, its such a minor thing that I really like when u notice it. I loved it when Ashley just says "get real!"
About the veins is because he was close to becoming a ganado. He was at a point of no return. Unless the plagas were removed. Both him and Ashley were lucky to had made it just in time to remove them.
Ashley is Leon Sherry's she's probably going be a main character in another future installment. Tbh I'd play it. Imagine if she ends up being the one who rescues Leon lol

The fact that you can shoot the church bell to trigger it early is one of the coolest details I've ever seen in a game. I've put thousands of hours into RE4 over the years and I remember wishing you could do that when I was a kid.
You can only do that on NG+ i believe so if you’re trying to speed run or skip the village fight it has to be new game plus i believe

I’m playing on Pro mode rn and I just got back to the farm section with all the animals with Ashley. I threw a flash to get some distance but all the animals freaked out and trampled me and Ashley 😭
Same the cow killed ashley in my first playthrough 💀

Bro on my first run when I got back to the farm with Ashley I swear the animals damaged me more than the ganados, they were hit stun locking me, looked like it was on purpose lol right after I took care of the ganados I killed all of the animals too 💀
Another cool detail is that when The El Gigante tries to catch you but you dodge and he doesn't get you, he looks at his hand and gets a little confused because he's probably just not used to people dodging his attacks
Other details.
- You can shoot bombs and Molotov Cocktail while enemies holding, they'll go off and kill enemies.
- Enemies throwing axes will hind behind those with shields. Shield holders would crouch to dodge axes from behind.
- Enemies will hurt and kill each other when making aoe attack, such as claws and catapult.
- While Ashley being taken away, you must be careful not shooting her. She will die from friendly fire.
You missed one sheilds guy will go in prone position so other enemies can pass through to attack you

Those aren't details lmao, it's just obvious stuff in the game that everyone sees.
It happened in my playthrough. In the waste disposal part where Ashley needs to stay in the steerer, she was abducted by a ganado so I tried to shoot that guy. I accidentally shoot her and I got a Mission Failed message.

Another detail.
Wearing sunglasses on either Leon or Ashley will reduce the self inflicted effect of flashbangs. Leon will no longer be briefly staggered and Ashley will be entirely unaffected. This however does not work for Leon's face guard or gas mask, only the ones that say "Sunglasses"
4:55 LOVE the new handcannon reload animation. The final pose he does is similar to the original Chicago Typewriter reload animation Leon had in the original RE4.
I feel like they might have based his movements off MJ too but not totally sure

A little detail I notice when using a Rifle, after a couple of shots when when you stop aiming, Leon will rub his shoulder due to kickback of the gun
Some of the details are carried over from the Original.
#1 - You were always allowed to shoot projectiles from midair. Axes, Dynamite and Arrows were the usual items. You cannot (however) deflect bullets.
#5 - Chickens laid eggs in the Original as well. If you wait long enough and not disturb them when they roam, the would sit in position and lay an egg. The kinds of Eggs are random (white, Brown and Gold).
#6 - The Pendant also gets dirty and loses value if dropped in the "Well" of filth. You would think that Leon could just wash the thing...
#9 - Especially the Tommy gun Reload. It was a little less flamboyant in the Original.
#12 - The death Animation was more pronounced in the Original, where you can see the Del Lago leaping out of the water to devour Leon and going back in.
#13 - You could sit on Saddler's throne, but this was on the island, and not in Salazar's Castle. Also, as a funny nod, chickens are roaming around you...making you king of the chickens.
#15 - Enemies may or may not be disarmed in the original (Usually not)
#16 - In the Original, Leon also gets back pain when catching Ashley in the Knight's Armor. In fact, none of the Ganados can lift her. If they make the attempt, they would just fall over as soon as they lift her.
In the castle, Ramon will discontinue his taunting when you shoot the speakers. Very reminiscent where in the original he got super pissed at Leon for doing so
If I recall correctly in the original enemies had trouble carrying Ashley in the knight armor, I wonder if is the same thing in the remake.

In the remake, Just don’t leave Ashley too far behind (like when Leon has to push open a pair of double doors into another area) or else it will be in instant game over when Ashley gets picked up regardless of the armor. Learned the hard way sadly

Stop axes midair by shooting them is there since the original. But a detail on the remake very little noticed, because is extremely hard to happen, is that two axes thrown by different enemies can collide midair and fall on the ground if they're at the correct angle.
Interestingly, most of these details can also be seen in the original RE4, tho some to a lesser degree (for example, chickens also laid eggs, but I don't think they had an animation for it? You'll just find eggs on the ground every once in a while in the same area if there are chickens there). Really shows the amount of attention to detail they had when making this game, even back in 2005
Faithful recreation of an old classic that still has new and exiting changes put into it. You can see the how much thought and soul went into this. PC port is also great. Sitting here while my TLOU Part1 shaders try to load.... :)

One thing I LOVE that they kept in is Ashley's little fist pump she does when you kill a ganado.

You can use the rocket launcher to skip the dynamite with luis
You can also throw grenades/rocket launcher at the wrecking ball section to help ashley with the wall. You can't break it but it will help
haven't tried the game yet but from what i've watched in other videos, if leon is doing his special reload animation in front of ashley, she will look at him differently. for me she's looking at leon like watching kids having fun. no idea about doing it in front of luis, maybe he too will react differently

i think shooting the lake in the original was more scary than in here. mainly because it was more sudden. here you kinda see a change in perspective. in the original i think u dont even get to see the change so it snaps back with so much speed you totally fall back in horror. at least at first when u try. i remember discovering it after a second playthrough. we screamed at that part haha.
Yes... they killed the horror.
The in old RE4, there is also a slight delay between each scene. Sometime, it take 2-3 bullets. Sometime, 4 or 5 before the monster jumps at you.

Cap on really put a bunch of thought into RE4R. The amount of details and Easter eggs it’s lived up to the hype and garnered another 10/10 can’t wait for the Ada Wong DLC later this year.

07:00 - isn't it Ramon's throne now? It is in his castle in the remake and we see him sit there before Leon is thrown into the large hole to the underground prison. Though this throne was in the island in the original game and I believe it could have been seen in cutscene where Saddler orders Krauser to get Leon and Ashley.

Something I learned from a different video, when an enemy charges at you for a grab, just crouch and the animation doesnt happen. You will safe some Knife Durability doing this.
Ashley's and let Leon's reaction to rain reminded me of 2 lost puppies under the rain 😭😭😭 awwh they're so adorable, I'm gonna have to see Leon cat ears mod lol 🤣

Some of these details were already in the 2005 version of the game. Just shows how impressive of a game it was even back then.
Amazing video Knightz, always awesome to see the little details on the games, idk if you gonna show on a next video about but I loved the details about Ashley covering her ears when Leon is shooting and also Leon kinda feeling the impact on a gun or the knife putting the hand on his shoulder or wrist, little things but so cool to see.
Yeah there's quite a few that I missed but I probably won't be making a part 2... The details may I appear in future videos though!
A lot of these reactions are in the original RE4, I remember them well. By the way you can eat eggs to regain a small rate of health.

One thing I thought was cool was if you shotgun is out of ammunition the slide is open while on your back. I noticed this with the riot gun.

A cool detail is that sometimes when the chainsaw guy gets stunned he accidentally starts cutting himself with his own chainsaw, or at least it looked like he was.

I finally understand why the animals all attack, they probably all have plagas.
The animals actually caused me to fail in village. I was asking Ashley to do the boost but she wasn’t showing up. And she got stuck on the cow in the barn. The cow suddenly kicked her and incapacitated her. I tried to pick her up but the ganados swarmed us and I got stun locked by the COW.
The pig noise from 1:33 was used in the Balin's Tomb fight scene from Fellowship of the Ring.

I own the ‘Riot gun’ in real life and a cool detail they added is that it’s ghost loaded (an extra shell can sit on the shell elevator) when examining it

Didn’t know cows could attack up until I had Ashley with me, I thought i killed every enemy but then I hear Ashley go down and was confused to see the cow being the cause of her death.

In the old game if you pose 3 times with the Chicago typewriter he will do a different pose and throw the hat in the air then catch it and go into aim pose with style
I think Capcom could make an easter egg. If Leon deflects 10 or 20 throwing axes in a row, the two enemies on the bridge will clap and go away.

Missed Leon randomly performing a chamber check
I kinda wish they had cheat or unlockable for Leon to do Scooby noise upon death like in original just to make you laugh after some gruesome scene. Just when you feel awful that you screwed up suddenly you hear the AUGGGHH and start to laugh and try again in different ways.
it was a GOTY back in 2005, sure as hell capcom would make sure to get those title a second time with their trump card which is RE4
Just gonna leave a like. Am still convinced that Code: Veronica deserved this treatment more than this unnecessarity (that a word?), while I'm still hoping that RE3 "Reimagining" gets that rumored director's cut.
