I love this mower.. I ordered after some research. I have a really small yard so thisis ideal for me. My ten year is going to be using it. He cut our grass the first time. He said he had fun. Its a win-win situation for me.
I just tried mine out. It's incredible!!! I'm rural and hence I rarely mow the lawn. My grass was 3 times this high and it cut through perfectly. Why didn't I do this years before?? I cut through golden rod stalks even. Great machine.
Oh my gosh thank you thank you thank you me being a seventy-year-old woman I did it with your directions and yes those handles or something else until I realized it needed some lubrication, I did not find that in the directions though ...❤
This helped me out so much.I could not figure out the last part connecting the handle to the mower. I love it I have a person who cuts my grass but when it rains the grass grows more and I can cut my grass in between. I like to work early in the morning and I don't have to worry about disturbing my neighbors. Thanks for the video.
Glad to be of help! Connecting the handle to the mower indeed can be quite confusing! I do like it that I can mow the lawn without disturbing my neighbors.
This makes doing the yard a whole lot of scissoring fun.🌼 allabout.wiki/American You must grease it every single time you use it. Just grab your spray grease and go to town on the thing prior to each grass cutting session. You will not be sorry! The grass gets sliced very well. Just be aware that this is a good work out because you need to go over your yard in every possible direction to get it looking like an electric or gas powered mower look. If you are okay with it just looking decent, you can get away with doing it with one pass, but we usually go one direction then like a clock go around the yard until it's done. The height adjustments work well when I skip a week or two. Then just bring it down a notch. Very handy! Be careful of to tighten the screw knobs before and after each use or you will end up searching the lawn for them!
I think I will buy one. I was going to purchase a compact battery operated mower but the compact was too much for my yard. I have a small yard and I certainly dont have the space to store a regular lawnmower
These are pretty awesome if you dout have any trees around. Just letting people know that mine locks up on the smallest sticks that get in the blades path.
What is the lowest height you can adjust the handles to? Not cutting height, but the lowest the handles will be off the ground? I'm looking to get one for my son but his chest level is obviously lower than that of an adult and it would be difficult for him to push if the lowest handle height still required him to reach over his head to grab the handles. Thanks
Hi there! I think the lowest setting that you can adjust the handles is at around 30". There's a possibility to lower this by a few more inches if the handle arms can be adjusted to their shortest setting. Hope that helps and thanks for checking out the video!
Hi there! Yes, going another direction may help, but sometimes I just do a pass with my trimmer for those areas that the mower can't cut/reach. Hope that helps!
Hello! No, during the time that I have owned this mower it never locked up on me when I push it forward. If it happens to your unit, make sure to check that nothing is getting lodged in the wheels or bearings or any other moving parts. I hope all will go well with you.
It barely can cut weeds. Anything more than 4 inches would just bend and be run over. I make sure I never let grass grow too tall. Oh, and since the making of this video I asked some pros to take care of my weed problem, so the lawn is not that bad looking anymore, LOL
I got a used one at the salvation army..for $20.25 it works great.does anyone know if there is a place to oil it? This didn't come with any service instructions.it's very faded and old. there's a year stamped on the base near the blade housing it looks like 1976. But cuts like a champ!
Probably would not hurt to oil all the moving parts such as where there might be some bearings and stuff. I just spray silicone oil on all the bearing in my push reel.
Wipe the mower component down with a throw away paint brush to remove grass and dirt then spray WD-40 to the axle, blades. Next, wipe the blades down with a clean cloth. Do this after every use to prevent rust and crud, keep the blades sharp for a few years. Oil works too.
Thanks for checking out my video. I guess that is true. I suspect something like this will have rust or gears needing lubrication for it to function more smoothly.
You either just leave the grass clippings on the ground or rake them away. I think you can buy a grass catcher that you can attach to this mower if you want to collect the grass while mowing.
Oh dear! Maybe you are using the wrong screw? Please check if it's the right screw. There's also a part there (you can even see it in the video) where I too was having difficulty fitting that clip to the screw. Good luck and I hope you can get it right.
Hi there! No, It will not be able to cut at that height. With tall grass, the mower tends to just roll over them. In my case, I find that the mower will not successfully cut any grass blades higher than 4 to 5 inches. Anytime I have grass that high, I just use my regular lawn mower. Hope that helps!
You should put up an Amazon link so people can buy this or anything and you get paid for it too. It’s called and affiliate link. I have to do the same think myself
@Megiddo Jones LOL That sure is! I do wish they come up with a way to make use of dandelions being edible. I personally would want to, but haven't gone to trying it. My lawn was treated recently, so all of the dandelions has been removed.
LOL Yup! Our yard was really in bad shape during the time I filmed this video. We have since had some lawn experts treat it, so it is not as bad now as it looked back then. Thanks for the tip!
It was really bad that time I filmed the video, but yes I have taken care of it by hiring some lawn maintenance guys. The lawn looks much better now. Thanks for your comment.
I'm struggling at the mo to rid mine. Have sprayed them last Sunday but they're kinda dead but still there. Not sure whether I need to pull them now or just leave them
@@slippyg Really tough to get rid of them! I had to call in one of those pro weed guys and that sort of helped get rid of them. I had to made sure to water regularly as dry conditions seems to encourage weed growth more.
@@Danboarding No problems. Mine goes through pretty rigorous stalks and if it jams, I just back up and go forward again. It would cut through that little stalk just fine. Thanks for helping me figure out how to assemble mine! :)

Me too, sat in a box still. Looked the best made one from all the videos I watched on them.

Thanks for taking the time to film and upload this video! I ordered one shortly after watching. Thanks!
Thank you! Glad to be of help!
We used to have one of these from when they were first made. It wasn't as loud. But it did cut really really well. And it was kind fun to use
I agree! This was out of the box and I may have set the cutting blades too close. But yes, they sure are fun to use!

Hi there! Yup, this may make sense for your small size yard. This one is small compared to a compact battery operated mower. Good luck!
These are pretty awesome if you dout have any trees around. Just letting people know that mine locks up on the smallest sticks that get in the blades path.
Same with my experience. I try to clear the path of any big branches that might get in the way before using this mower.

No problem!

I guess it depends on the push lawnmower. The one I had as a kid was a real bear to use. I suspect it hadn't been sharpened or adjusted right.

I always wondered how you pick up the grass from the ground after this or if they made one of these with the bag
You either just leave the grass clippings on the ground or rake them away. I think you can buy a grass catcher that you can attach to this mower if you want to collect the grass while mowing.
how do i clean the cut grass?
I never did and just left the cut grass, which was not a good habit to do. Best to rake after it.
I am having a hard time connecting the handle to the screws to the cutter. it does not seem to fit

I'm getting one
Sounds good!
that's an excellent mower. you have to spray the dandelions with weed killer.
Thanks, Tito Sonny! It sure is! Very light and easy to use. We are getting some professional weed control soon to help rid our lawn of those weeds.

That's a really bad idea. Get over your aesthetics and worry about being responsible to bees.
remove weeds before mowing. it might help it from spreading or get some of that weed juice to prevent growth

Did you ever figure out how to remove the hubcap?
Hi there! No, I never had to remove the hubcap. It does come with an instruction sheet on how to do so. Hope that helps.
Why is it so loud ?
Straight-out-of the box. If need be, one can just lubricate the bearings to remove the noise.
