  • Garry has cycled down to the New Forest for a few days and is cooking Sausage & Lentils One-Pot Video for supper tonight. Garry has always said that just because you’re camping, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat well. And with a little effort, you can knock up a hearty meal.
Garry doesn’t profess to be a chef or know too much about cooking! But he is more than capable of throwing a few ingredients together. So, give this recipe a go on your next bicycle tour. And you, too, can eat well and enjoy a filling meal at the end of a long day in the saddle! You can, of course, always try cooking it at home.

You are amazing! Back on the road already. Don't you ever stop at a cafe for a slap up meal?

Unfortunately, I'm not. That was recorded a few weeks ago.

Hi Garry I thought of you last weekend as I was in the New Forest. I did a cycle ride from Bournemouth to Portsmouth. I stayed overnight near Beaulieu and was planning to take the Hythe ferry but that wasn't running so I took the train from Brockenhurst to Southampton and then cycled to Portsmouth via Hamble and the pink ferry. I thoroughly enjoyed it, the New Forest was beautiful although some of the off-road sections were pretty rough.

I'm glad you enjoyed your ride. I know what you mean about some of the off-road parts. That's why I stick to the road!
