Cooper has great taste in sticks - this one is truly magnificent! Until the fusion takes place, you are going to have the Daddy of all tanukis . Can you imagine the fall colours cascading around all those twists and turns! I'm lovin' it!!

Thanks Mick. As I said in the video it's an ambitious project. Can I pull it off? Don't know. But sure gonna try! Stay safe

Don't worry there will be a whole playlist dedicated to this project. For as long as I can or until I kill it lol. Stay safe

I love all your fusion projects Sid. Gave me ambition to try a few of my own. They aren't as nice as yours but I'll be trying a few more until I get the results. Thanks for always posting such great videos. All the best to you!!!

Thanks Trevor. I'm sure yours will progress and after all we all have to start somewhere. The hard part is getting enough material. I would have liked to have double the amount for this project but then, if wishes were horses and all that. Stay safe mate.

@@SidsTrees What ever happened to your oak fusion? You inspired me to do my own.

Still working on it. It's looking good if I do say so myself. There will be a new video in due course so stay tuned. I've already filmed part of it. Waiting for the tree(s) to wake up for spring. Stay safe

I will have more coming over the fence from next door to layer as well which is where these came from in the first place. You don't think too ambitious? Stay safe

Very interesting project. I’m sure your fellow fusion compatriot,Kenet, will enjoy this, as I have. There’s a rumor circulating that your wife was five foot eight inches when she married you and you’ve managed to get her reduced to five foot two inches. ;-) Well done. Thanks, keep growing

Lol you haven't met my wife. Super clever, gorgeous and sexy. Way out of my league. But if anyone is going to cut someone down to size it's her. Stay safe Matt

Great idea !!! ,,to avoid fast decay of trunk could try lime sulfur on the part in the ground maybe,,, i have a lot of Clematis i did root cuutings so now i know just what to do with them !!!! tks !!!!

Don't know if Clematis will fuse but don't see why not. Either way something like this dripping with flowers would be a wonderful sight. Good luck. Stay safe

This will be a very nice bonsai after a few years, I had one on its own trunk, not a fusion, but that one died during a very harsh winter here in Norway.

Thanks Kenneth. I have another one I am growing as a single tree trying to make a weeping willow style. A quick search on my channel will find it. Would be interesting to hear what you think. Stay safe

Not that I’ve tried a fusion tree but I tend to use a sheath of inner tube rubber to stop the wires cutting in.

Sounds like a good idea if you have some lying about. I wouldn't buy one especially. Stay safe

I like that you dont turn them all the same way around the trunk i would think that was the best way but i never tryed fusion on my own trees, evin tho i only ever see ppl do it the same way i would think to mix it but some plants turn only the one way like Wisteria allways turn the same or from japan Wisteria floribunda allways turns clockwise and from china Wisteria sinensis allways turn counter clockwise but i would try mixing anyway just to learn

I don't know if it's the right thing to do or not but see willows and ficus trees plaited and grown in various wierd and wonderful shapes so it is a bit of an experiment. Stay safe
