I can relate to that feeling you’re talking about. It’s how I feel whenever I open my fridge and see that it’s fully stocked or when I see a fully stocked pantry. Growing up the fridge was always empty and there never seem to be enough so now as an adult I probably spend more than I should on groceries but it gives me a sense of security and peace knowing that my kids can go grab whatever they want whenever they feel hungry. Till this day sometimes it still makes me emotional.
I agree with this. I rather spend more on groceries than eating out because I like seeing my fridge full and I’m able to make whatever I want and make food stretch.
@DaisyBudgets that and when we cook at home we can control the amounts of salt, fat, etc. Which is also healthier than eating out (and we can control the serving sizes too! The amounts served at restaurants and fast food drive thru's is outrageous!)
A standing desk is the next best thing after sliced bread. Paying yourself 10% every time really does add up. It's so sad that medical care isn't affordable for everyday people so we're blessed when we can afford to pay for what we need done 🙏🏾. Oh, girl...you nailed my state of living: gold fish brain!! I recognize that exactly. I used to work in an office that provided desks that were adjustable from sitting to standing...and everywhere in between. It was great! They did tell us that the mere fact that we were standing burned 60 calories an hour. 60 calories an hour burned off just by standing up!! You know I stood up all I could!! They actually put in a treadmill with a computer attached...but they forgot to put a company phone by it...so nobody used that. With all the equipment necessary, that would've been great. Love you, girl, and I'm so proud of you for doing do much in just one month.

It’s amazing how quickly money can add up, even for small incomes. I’ve been tracking my spending and I nearly fainted when I saw how much my convenience store purchases cost! I wish I had saved that money. Instead, I spent way too much on over priced foods 😳 those five dollar purchases added up.

In Australia we have HECS loans for our university /colleges. Basically the government takes out your money every time you get paid but it’s not much at all. American colleges seems so confusing and such a struggle to pay back student loans.

A realistic 6 month emergency fund for my family would most likely be about 20K. Which is a lot of money to think about right now, but we'll get there with time🤞
