I am not an international student but from a domestic student, that is how most colleges do the semesters If you start in the winter, you will have no summer break your first year to get you aligned on the correct schedule, if you had a 3 year course you would receive a summer break in between your 2nd and 3rd year. Also, you may structure it to sound like you graduate faster, but in reality you are just starting late and taking your summer break before you start school. You are not graduating any faster than someone that starts in the fall.

At least we can work full-time and gain work experience as soon as possible :)) Although, some of our friends struggled to pay tuition fees because they thought they can save up during the official summer break. Buti na lang they were all able to find a way to pay for the remaining semesters ❤ But yeah, overall the faster the course, the better. :))

Hi Satish! Thanks for watching our videos :) 1. No, if your program is 2-year course. You'll still suppose to get 3 years PGWP. 2. It depends on your course. We usually have 7-9 courses per semester. For culinary all 8-9 courses, it's mostly once a week but 4-5 hours long. For marketing courses, usually 2-3 courses meet 2 times a week. The first semester is usually a block schedule (A fixed schedule for all the subjects). For the succeeding semesters, most of the time you can make your own schedule. 3. We're not sure about this, but I don't think the government gives subsidies for daycare. Better to look for more information about this issue.

Hi there! For our course we only had 1-2 weeks of break in between semester that's why we finished our course faster than the usual. But official breaks depends on which program are you taking. Every institution has their own rules, so it's better to inquire from them directly. Thank you

Taking a 1 year graduate program with coop will provide you a 4 month full time work related to your program. If let’s say you have a May (Summer) intake, you’ll have 2 academic semesters (Summer & Fall) and 1 coop semester (Winter).

We think that in-campus part-time work positions are still currently not available, because the school is still close. Best thing to do is contact the school, they might have online in-campus part-time jobs available such as online peer tutor? But we're not really sure. Best of luck :)

Hi Marni! I don't think Centennial College has loan services, but they do have scholarship programs that you can apply for. Although, scholarship programs here are different than the ones we have back home. Here in Canada, they award you a certain amount of money ranging from $250 up to $10,0000 depending on the scholarship award you applied for, but to be sure contact Centennial College about this to be sure. For business programs, math and english assessments are required. For Hospitality, Food and Tourism, only english assessment is required. Best to contact the college directly for more information.

Hi there! Yeah, it's fine though. At least we'll graduate faster. Oh, it's recommended to pay at least one semester in full before submitting your study permit application. But make sure to ask the school to be sure 😊 Excited for you! Will you be attending Centennial College as well? What course?
