Thank you! This is an extremely helpful video! I’ve had my Mockmill for a month and a half and LOVE it! I have not been able to get really fine flour from it though till now. Your video gave me just the help I needed to get my mill calibrated for the fine flour I need. Wow.. I feel so much more confident using it now that I’m understanding better how to make the adjustments for fine to coarse flour. ❤️👍🏼
If you run your mill where the stones are you touching isn’t that grinding the stones down and getting some stone dust into your flower? Also wouldn’t those stones eventually grind each other down to where they don’t work as good?

Thank you for this very helpful tutorial. I have just purchased a Mockmill 200 and it’s all quite daunting, but your vid really clarified things for me - much appreciated!
My daughter used our Mockmill to grind sugar, causing the stones to get stuck together. I just used this video to pull my Mockmill 100 apart and clean it. It now works like new. Thank you!
"I hope this helps..." Sooo helpful! My MM arrived today and I've been kinda flummoxed about how setup, use, and cleaning. I'm so glad I found this video -- it makes so much sense now. Thank you! 😀
Very detailed explanation. Helped me a lot. Today received a mockmill 100 and even on setting 1, flour came out coarse. Your video was exactly what i needed. Thanks a ton!
Mine is on the way now cant wait! Been making breads for family and really wanting to do something thats just my own for myself and fam. Baking bread has been something special for me.
Wow, such a help. Now I'm not afraid to remove the transport lock and adjust the stones, your video made this step very clear! Thanks for this great setup video, just what I needed!!
Thank you for this video. The written directions weren't too much help. I wanted fine flour, and it was coming out very course. Once I adjusted the stones per the video directions, I actually ended up with soft, fine flour instead of grainy bits. Yay.
Just getting ready to fire up my Mockmill Lino 200 for the FIRST TIME!! I've been staring at it for a while now. This video just pushed me to make a move 😄
Thank you soooooooo much!! I watched this yesterday while waiting for my mill, and then step by step *with* you this morning while setting up. Never had some new gadget so easy, and wonderfully demonstrated to make it so. Thank you again.
Thank you for a wonderful, instructional video! I am going to use my new Mockmill 100 for the first time today and didn’t know where to start so this was very good. Thank you again!
Very helpful demonstration. I’m contemplating buying this one and none of the videos I’ve watched showed how to do those extra adjustments for more course or more fine.
Thank you for a great explanation how to use the Mock mill. I got my couples of weeks and I watched your video to learn how to use it. I am not afraid anymore. Thank you again.

I have a Mockmill 200 and I love ❤️ it. I had a mice issue and it nibbled on the removable parts and the little handle. I was so mad. My precious Mockmill. I visited the website and found replacement parts for it at a great price. What cost was the shipping. But I was thankful for the new parts. And I even got the little screw on handle.
Great video as I had trouble figuring out the number. Does anyone have little bits of stone in their flour? I ran rice three times, different batches, and there’s little specks of stone..
My new Mockmill is arriving in 2 days looking forward to grinding Buckwheat, which is the best gluten free flour to make bread and tortillas thanks for the video
My cap will not budge so I haven’t been able to remove the transport clips yet. Yours turns easily with your hand and mine is not budging. Please help!
Can anyone tell me about the material used to make the stones; ceramic corundum. Why isn’t natural stone used? Do small parts of the material wear off overtime during use? I’m concerned using anything made with aluminum.
This is also what I was wondering. Are we getting small stone dust with our flower when they’re touching? Would the stones eventually wear out if they’re grinding against each other?
I'm hoping to get a response from you! I've milled lots and lots of grain with my Mockmill 200. Lately it seems to build hard layers on the inside of the chamber. I have to take the mill apart and gently scrape it all loose and vacuum it out. So? do I need to replace the little sweeper brush? Or is there another reason? It seems like the flour is coming out hotter than when I first got the mill. Yes, I clean it with rice from time to time. I've had this mill 4+ years Thank you for helping. I did try to call your company once to get new springs, I lost one and the ones from the hardware store are a little different.
Thank you. I am having so much trouble. What do you do if the noise for fine setting starts at 7, and I can't move the lever anymore to the lower setting way.
Does the mockmill need time to break in??? I just got the 200 professional but my grain maker steel burred mill seem do mill quite a bit finer… I set the stones as advised, perhaps on step tight and ran the flour twice and it didn’t help.
I've had trouble getting fine flour from my 100, and this will help so much. So the stones are ok if they grind against each other? No hard stuff comes off and goes into the flour?
i have a question please. I just received my mockmill 200. I can set it to grind o 10. I can set it to grind it only on 1. maybe the mockmil does not work? When I do exactly the adjustment for 10 it will unscrew the stones and the lid is lifted up :(.
@@breadtopiaBreadtopia I watched someone on UA-cam run rice on the coarse setting and it didn't look like cracked rice. It was more like coarsely milled rice.
Every time I hear those grinders hitting each other I can't help but cringe, thinking they are causing wear on each other. Would you not want to avoid them actually touching? They are the same material as each other and therefore should in theory be wearing. Does the manufacturer suggest you adjust it close enough to where you hear them grinding against one another?
Has anyone ever had the problem of putting white rice in the mockmill and it spraying out whole all over? I’ve had mine for over the 30 days, (about 40 days)It worked for a while but, I don’t know what I did. My husband and I tried a few things to fix it with no luck.
Thank you! Do you need to adjust (unscrewing the lever and moving to a wider or closer setting) while the mill is running as the video or can it be done with it off. Say you are grinding corn or beans and KNOW ahead you are going to need to widen the space between the stones. Sorry but just received mine today.
I am waiting for my MM100 to arrive at the end of April. i already heard that it is not a good idea to run the berries throgh a send time. Cna you clarify?
Pull the lever to setting number 1 then loosen the wing nut while it’s still loose push the lever to setting 10. Then tighten the wing nut. Now keep doing that until you hear the stones touching. Once you hear them touching you know your at the finest grind setting.

Glad you asked. NO! Popcorn is too hard and can damage the stones. I have heard of people breaking up popcorn into bits with a powerful blender and then milling the bits. That could possibly work.
You don't want to run it dry with the stones touching for long. As long as you're actually milling something and flour is passing between the stones, the stones won't be wearing against each other. You can tighten the stones too much, which you'll know if the flour is coming out the spout smoking hot.
