Why not just look at the level on the side of the 5 qt jug instead of going through the extra work of pouring it from one bottle to another and then putting it in the engine? They put the markings and levels on the side of the jug for a reason.
I have an 86. I used a different style filter wrench. The one that fits tight on the end with a ratchet hole. Worked easy. There are pins that hold the dust cover in place, one of mine was missing it was not cut in half. I put a screw in to hold the dust shield in place. But I do agree STUPID LOCATION. Great trucks I love mine.😊
Im not much on mini-truckin. But this one is in very good condition for being 25 years old. We have them all over here in Texas but 98% of them are pretty beat up and lacking TLC. And yes.....we have a sh*t ton of Cicadas here in Central Texas
From my understanding it just prevents it running "dry" on the first start up after the change and means you need to put a small bit less oil into the engine since some needs to fill the filter❤
Ga here, 100% accurate about cicadas. As for the transmission, regardless of the make and model, if the transmission goes too long without a fluid change, it gets to the point of damned if you do, damned if you don't really fast.
Hi I just got a 91 4X4 SB 4cyl 5 spd hardbody 150k,,,,, It came with american racing wheels 15X8 and brand new 31X10.50 tires ,, the wheels needed some polishing so I took them off to clean ,, and when I took off the passanger side wheel ,,,,I looked right through the split in the cardboard and was looking at the filter ,, I thought the fiberboard just split there cause of age ,, but after I saw your video and saw yours was split in the same place,,,,,,,I guess that is what was done to access the filter ,, so I was just thinking I would pull the wheel off to do the oil change , my floor jack squeaks too ,, so now every time I use it I will think of the peacock face,, Thanks for that lol
26 years and 233k. Except for smog, hardly any problems. I've only changed the gear oil once. Only changed the shocks a couple of years ago. imo, use the high mileage synth oil and filter. Made a diff on mine with what I'm told is the timing change noise when it starts up. The front end could do with some work but my next job is checking the wheels and bearings which I've never done. The only pia is the drive cycle. Nissan is a joke re this. Last year it took me 10 months to get past smog and now I have another cel problem to track down which means more issues with drive cycle.
I have a '79 Datsun 620 Kingcab with those wheels and I love them! I just bought a '97 Hardbody Kingcab and was thinking about putting them on the Hardbody to see if I liked them...I also was thinking about 18" Titans...
The peacocks are 100% accurate and thats a clean hard body there bud, middle tn here south of Nashville and those bugs are driving us insane they are EVERYWHERE you say one word and they get worse🤣🤣
have 97' Nissan XE- truck , 26+ yrs old- w/60 k miles...in HI...runs great, needs body work & paint done...how much would it cost to to rebuild/restored?...I'm 2nd owner ...I'm 73 yrs young, is it worth fixing @ my age?..tnx u on u r reply...
Hey sir, I am a minor and don't know much about vehicles. I'm hoping to get into working on them to fix up our old 93 Nissan and keep it running. But in my opinion I think you absolutely should fix it up! The older trucks are just built better and are meant to last (unlike alot of vehicles in the last decade or so) And I'm sure if you have any children or grandchildren, they would love to drive an old pickup truck!❤ I hope you have a blessed day sir and happy birthday if it came up recently!🎉
Luv des trucks ngl not too small but da right size great vid man you gotta get some LEDS for it like tho whole LED for da front headlights led everywhere lol
The peacocks had me crying lmao
lol, same.
This hb is so damn clean. What a beaut

Wait, What? 🙃

I love cicadas… don’t mind them at all. Thanks for showing me how to change oil in my Nissan.
This generation of Nissan trucks are every bit as good as the Toyotas from the same era. I think the Nissan is actually the better-looking of the two.
The peacocks 🦚 🤣🤣😂
Never thought I would sit and watch someone pouring 3.5 quarts of oil into a motor! … love it, keep it up!!

Turn the tires to the right. Also don’t worry about filling the filter with oil. It does absolutely nothing beneficial.
I was taught the same. Old habits die hard, doesn’t hurt anything.

Thank you for this, I have the 96 nissan xe

I live in Saskatchewan Canada and last Monday I started my first job and I’m 14
good job man👍
@@user-sj1tl5yo2w thanks
I'm talking about the truck of course.
@@weekendhomeprojects no I don’t but I do have a Chevy cobalt
Maybe a clay bar , wax vid on the hardbody like the old days.
Do you still have this truck? I have the exact same truck. Same color and everything.
try Oil Filter first, then drop the oil.....I never need a filter wrench.

Mine needed a new air sensor to pass smog. Old one losing connection and taking too long to work per the technician
I drive a 2003 frontier with the same engine, I found it might be easier to turn your tires to the right so the oil filter is more exposed.
Great idea! I'm going to try that on my next one.
Nissan pathfinders wheels 90-95 look great on these
I have a '79 Datsun 620 Kingcab with those wheels and I love them! I just bought a '97 Hardbody Kingcab and was thinking about putting them on the Hardbody to see if I liked them...I also was thinking about 18" Titans...
Peacock got me😭💯I live in SC and mannn they be bugging too much yo
🔥🔥
It has a measurement line I’m pretty sure you added a step using that smaller one
The peacocks are 100% accurate and thats a clean hard body there bud, middle tn here south of Nashville and those bugs are driving us insane they are EVERYWHERE you say one word and they get worse🤣🤣
I have a '95 in good shape, but I've never seen one in as good of shape as this '97.

Yay, first!
Throw a go light on the 22 sierra
It would look so good on 15x10s and lowered in the rear. It’s a suggestion for upcoming videos.
Hell no
Was not expecting the peacocks 😆
Oklahoma and yes we have locusts
Florida so used to cicadas i wasnt even really hearing em in video🤣
"Project Farm"UA-cam channel does a oil test..Pennzoil comes in 2nd place to Amsoil & beating mobile 1
Luv des trucks ngl not too small but da right size great vid man you gotta get some LEDS for it like tho whole LED for da front headlights led everywhere lol
That peacock tho 😂😂😂
auto zone gave me a shorter Oil filter than older one
Same thread and everything
thoughts if I should still use it
I’m up here in Kentucky and the cicadas are sounding off as I type this lol I rarely notice anymore unless someone brings it up
I used to do mine for the top. Oil filter
Is it easier to get to than from the wheel area?
Hey bud outta curiosity what did ya get that for over 10k ?
I don’t want to overpay and have been looking
I found one with 65k but asking 17k
👌✌👍
This truck is the reason I buy the kn oil filters with the socket thing at the end gladly pay the extra $7 bucks to save the hassle 😵💫
Love your truck !!!! If you ever want to sell it let me know…. Thank you
I've had multiple people say the same thing to me at Walmart and the grocery stores.
I can’t find my cabin filter it’s not behind the glove box
No cabin filter, just a big open space behind glove box
❤❤❤❤❤Nissan
My Nissan jacked up I just have to take battery cable off because of spark I have 3.0
Oh yeah Bro this is a Really Pain in the Butt to get on oil filter!!??
I recommend you use only factory Nissan OEM oil filters and only run NGK spark plugs and wires
Nothing special about Nissan filters. The KA24 is not a picky motor.
How was it did u like it
Would never use mobile 1 in anything better go Castrol all the way
Doesn't look like the Hardbody videos are doing as well as your others? That why you don't have more recent hardbody vids?
Will trade 94 5 speed for auto....
Have a totally stock 1994 5 speed trade for automatic.....
It needs 10 wides
4th
Squat it
Just stop
Nothing crazy however you are on a decline in your drive way.
