Man this is how UA-cam used to be back before it became all about money.
@tyvek05 Hes saying this was the whole of youtube, people doing what they want not what their allowed to
Hot damn!
Them Lefties hit the fusel oil and killed all their brane sels. Sho 'nuff, says it all.
Became woke. Then started evangelizing and removing dislikes from Biden speeches... sad.
Utube is just a bunch of kiddults who don't wanna work and think there gonna git rich doing the same damn thing as their peers aka add revenue lol. Cool video btw.
So very true
Idk why this is on my recommended but the fact that he went straight into it, made me like his personality.
this guy is brilliant, no BS and explains it straight up... and being surprised by eBay deliveries, love it.
I may be going out on a limb here, but I’m going to assume that many, if not most of those viewing this video have gotten drunk and were later surprised with deliveries of stuff the bought on the internet.
"This is what I do. Other people can can do whatever the fuck they want." Always has been the best advice.
"This is what I do. Other people can can do whatever the fuck they want." works in all kinds of situations and if people understood that there would be less conflict. good comment! good video.
most educated attitude there is. live and let live and dont bother with others people shit.
I sure wish more people thought that way.
Yeah, he does some things that I wouldn't, but he obviously gets good results so party on.
@@GO0DWOLF no he doesn't the moron has to filter his shine that means he's doing it wrong wtf are you talking about? He's more then Likely poisoning himself and anyone he's "partying on" with.
"sometimes I get drunk as shit and buy stuff off eBay and don't remember and get surprised when it shows up". This man internets!
hahaha lmfao!!
I did the same thing and a braveheart two handed sword showed up in the mail. Dang I ordered this? Ok cool.
😂😂😂
Lmao "oh shit i got a still!"
Sometimes I get drunk as shit and start commenting on random you tube videos and get a surprise when all the comebacks start flooding in. LOL.
Who else did UA-cam suggest this for?
Were you watching NileRed make TP Moonshine? That's how I got here, LOL.
Dakota Lally I wasn't at all lol!
Same lmao 😂😂 off of Milwaukee s best ice shiiit
James Kearney 😅
;o! lol... YES! no idea why. I liked it tho. no intro. he just got straight to it. haha
I like coming back and watching the older videos. It's how I started. Thanks again.

Great video man, simple and straight to the point. And just being yourself. Enjoyed it ! Will watch again.
I really appreciate a down to earth kind of guy! thanks for the tips.
I’ve spent so much time watching videos on moonshine and I’d have to say that this guy tells you what you want to know along with what you need and not all the extra crap. Great video
You have a talent for explaining things with clear and relevant detail. Great job!
Of course he has a talent for explaining it. He's been doing it since he was knee high to a grasshopper. He's righteous man.
@@Mike-hz4jp no he hasn't he's a fake fuk that learned this off the web. No real shine distiller would even make shine so bad they have to filter it.
@@Mike-hz4jpthere’s plenty of people that know how to do stuff but leave out important things when explaining it. He hasn’t been explaining how to make moonshine since knee high to a grasshopper lol

Preciate ya' for taking the time to showin' us your way.
Probably one of the best tutorials out there. Great job. This dude is awesome.
Did we watch the same video?
im from south dakota. a friend of mine went on a construction job down in this guys neck of the woods and brought a plastic milk jug of this stuff back home. i took 2 or 3 shots of this stuff and scoffed "this shit is like water!"
12 hours later i woke up in my mother in laws basement stark naked, my wife pissed and sleeping in another room and all of my clothes neatly folded underneath the dining room table... this stuff is not to be trifled with..

I have the the same still! I recommend airing out the product (replace jar lids with coffee filters) for 24-48 hours to let the volatile compounds evaporate before filtering - which like you I also do 3x. It makes a noticeable difference, Happy distilling!
what is this still called and where did you buy it? i want it
If this guy taught a college course I would have graduated. He makes it so very clear. Great job I finally understand the process. I can't wait till my stuff arrives.
I’m with you man ! Same story. I bought about the same setup you have after a few. I just switched to a Keg set up for about $250 !l Love the video !!
Good job on the video, I have a similar setup, with nice clear instructions. One recommendation I would make is that when you move from fermenting to distilling it would be best if you moved the thermometer from the lid to the vapor chamber (where the valve is just before the condenser). That would give you a more accurate reading of the vapor temp helping you keep the still running smooth.
Outstanding. Simply explained. Right to the point. Love it.
I can't wait for my first batch in the next few days, I've always wanted to do this!
Mate I’m in Australia & I make my own malted barley & corn shine but I didn’t have enough info about the sour mash. Great video & keep it up. I’ve been dumping the corn/barley after the first run but now I know to keep it make more. Cheers mate & thanks
Nice video PhilBilly. I like your stainless still setup! I didn't read through all the comments or watch any other videos.. so.. you probably know this tip.. if you add salt to your ice water it causes more ice to melt by Depressing the FREEZING point and NOT adding internal energy (or heat) making the ice "colder"! stay shine'n!
Your rock man! Best run through and explanation on the web! You are the man.🤘👍👌😁
Great job! Love how you explain the process, I'm subscribing 👍
Your comment about getting drunk and shopping on eBay had me in stitches lmao
He went to Flea-Bay! LMFAO

Great vid. Thanks for sharing!
My man... I actually feel like I can go and make moonshine now. Thank you very much. I really think I'm gonna try this.
You really can, its not hard. If you really want to go simple, just use a sugar mash. It's idiot proof.
Completely Surprised! Loved the detail but above all the guy is awesome. I laughed several times as he spoke and learned a lot. Thanks

Learned to make “Copper kettle whisky” from an old Tennessean-He brought some back after a trip home.
Wasn’t harsh at all, no lead solder in the still or condenser. Strong, oh yes, according to the rows of bubbles after shaking its was about 120 proof!

Im from london uk an no longer drink alcohol but love the science behind moonshine brewing. Good video bro.
Thank you Phil.I think this is awesome
Outstanding Phil, many thanks for the tutorial. Been wanting to make this for some time. I'm in the mid west and that shit sells for $30 a quart here and it's been cut to 80 proof. Still tastes delicious. Again, thanks for the great video.
Thank you for watching. Yeah around here people sell it for 20 a quart and it is usually 80 proof. I do know a guy that is meticulous and sells it for the same proof but at above 120 proof, it's always rocket fuel, i keep mine, i am not into selling it ever, i have thought about starting a brewery with all the licensing and stuff.
Im in north bay canada and a litre is 40 and a pint 20 .
@@philbillymoonshine7356 My buddy gets it for me. I pay 40 a jar but its 140-165 proof. I love it.

That computer is worth like 50 bucks 😂
Glad i found this channel. Super easy to learn.
Bought our first still from amazon. Thanks for this video
dude you're really making me spend $300 on all this great video time to make some moonshine boys!!! YEEYEE
There is a lot of concern about the legality's of making moonshine i was told by my states department of commerce liquor control division that as long as you brew small amounts for personal use only, that it is okay. Also if i decided to sell it i can pay a $100 dollar permit fee and get an A-3a permit to brew up to 10,000 gallons a year paying an extra $2.00 per every 50 gallon barrel brewed. This permit would be for distribution to licensed vendors. If you are worried look up your states department of commerce and give them a call. The only requirement for the distribution license is to have running water in a commercial building.
It's actually federally illegal. lol
@@harydanyanbalbara756 that goes state by state.
@@marksettles6695 Federal law applies to all states. State, county, or local law enforcement may or may not bother with you if you are small time. But the Federal agents will jam you up in a heartbeat.
What you better look up I federal law. ITS ILLEGAL PERIOD. any at all period. You can get a permit to make fuel. This falls under state and federal and the liscense to sell is way higher
@azenogoth not true every state is different. Fed is illegal period

The false bottom is originally for steaming rice but it makes a heck of a good way to keep the brew bag off the bottom. This cat has the right attitude, he really does not care how or what others do. He has found a method that works and sticks to it.
I have one one these stills. Other than the crappy silicone lid seal, it works great. There are those that will beat you to death verbally about the silicone seals and the brass petcocks. This cat tends to be a little crude, but his style is spot on for the task.

"You don't do this, nobody's gonna like your moonshine, specially you." - Perfect advice. This is awesome. Simple, yet unintuitive to those of us never done this before. Thinking I'll give this a go this spring.
Good moonshine doesn’t need filtered. Filtering also strips some of the flavor you want out of the grain. It taste like ass because he got into the tails. His batch is cloudy because probably he has mash boiling up into the column. Making quality product is easier said thsn done. If you are making for personal consumption, age it on oak.
@@cameronpresley5771 bro! Hahaha I'm so lost how many people are kissing this guys a$$ like he's making great shine when he's not. I've never drank "filtered shine" and that crap about "sour mash" is way off too. If you have to filtering your shine something is WAAAAAAY off.......lol

Cool man. Can’t wait to get started
I made a killer Bourbon using a gallon of non-vanilla corn syrup, 2 lbs of malted barley. Sugar. It made a great bourbon after having it with burnt oak chips for awhile. I did not carbon filter it. Everyone loved it.

@@Mark-um5hc I have also made booze using cheap corn flake cereal. Its already gelentized and dissolves when mixing in the Malted barley or enzymes. Beats grinding down all that corn
@@NormBaker., damn... Really ? Cool !

UA-cam trying to get you to do illegal shit
I made some using corn flakes. I went to a discount store and bought 8- 18 oz boxes for $1.35. When you stew it with the 2 pounds of malted barley it completely dissolves because it is already gelitenized.
