Good job on the video, I have a similar setup, with nice clear instructions. That would give you a more accurate reading of the vapor temp helping you keep the still running smooth.

while it cooks. You got to cook the corn at 180F to gel the starch. Unless you use Distiller's Malt the beer brewing barley isn't enough diastatic strength to do the job. With SEBStar you can use straight corn and it handles high temperature unlike malted grain. Lose the Brita. Waste of money and time. Get some granulated carbon online and put some in a coffee filter inside a funnel. goes through faster and you can use it directly under the still output. Costco has a big brick of Red Star yeast for $5. It's a 2-year supply if you keep it in the freezer. Shine on!
Outstanding. Simply explained. Right to the point. Love it.
Your rock man! Best run through and explanation on the web! You are the man.🤘👍👌😁
kick your heat down to 80 get a higher concentration ethanol evaporates at 78c
That's at the head of the tub - it's cooling all the way up the tower before hitting the condenser. It still needs to be > 78C at that point. As long as you don't go too hot and start getting into the next band of distillates...
How do you kick it down? Dont you usually kick things up?
You should look up distillation
High heat may account for the jar of heads most people on an 5 to 8 gallon run get around 5 Oz of throw away a jar seems high
I run cheap branded vodka in a water filter and it makes Grey Goose.
