  • Join us for a conversation with Emilio García Duarte, Director of Marketing Latin American at the National Basketball Association. García Duarte is responsible with strategic marketing and planning and oversees the
    execution of all marketing and digital efforts across Latin America for the League.
    Prior to this role, García Duarte held the position of Director of Marketing Partnership for the NBA in Europe, being responsible for brand management
    and marketing activation of NBA marketing partners such as BBVA, Garanti
    Bank, Sport, City of Bilbao and Bimbo. He oversaw all marketing executions for NBA Partners across media (social, digital and mobile), custom content and event activation.
    Prior to his appointment as Director of Marketing for NBA Europe, García Duarte held senior leadership roles in the areas of marketing and global partnership for the last 10 year, being director of Marketing for top international companies and responsible for creating multi-platform marketing campaigns that created
    exceptional consumer awareness for multiple brands.
    In 2015, García Duarte moved to New York to assume his position as Marketing Director for Latin America inside the NBA. A native of Spain who held a BS in Communication from San Pablo CEU Madrid University and
    graduated in Marketing and Strategic Management by ESADE Business School in Barcelona. He also holds a Master's Degree in Digital Branding from San Pablo CEU University.
