Woman, I'm going to tell you for the millionth time, those imperfections, like the pages torn where you glued the tab to the pages, and the "off sewn" signature marks, those are the little things that give so much character! Anyone would love them! Those little things make each notebook unique and handmade! ❤
These little notebooks are adorable. Totally going to use this idea in my journals. I love that you keep your mistakes in your videos. We all screw up and it's nice to be reminded every once in a while, that we're not alone. I am so glad that you were blessed with a husband that made you laugh and that you still miss every single day. My husband makes me laugh and smile every day, but in October he was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. We're going through the chemo now, but the reality of it all hit me really, really hard. My love for him is so all-encompassing that I don't know what I'd do if I lost him. The fact that I've had him in my life for so long makes me feel so blessed. I'll go on, of course, but I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. Like you said, we are the lucky ones. Thank you for sharing that with us. Blessings to you.
@michelejacobs115 my heart hurts for you, and your husband. It's probably not the time to say this, but God is giving you a blessing. You can say, and do all the things you need to. You can make every single second count. When my husband went into a "routine" surgery, I kissed him, told him I loved him. When I got to the hall, I stopped, and thought, go back, hug him, and tell him again, well, I didn't, because I thought, I'll see him in a little bit. I did see him again, but not alive. I knew my dad was going to pass, so I stayed with him all I could. I was there when he went to be with the Lord. There was a big difference in the grief cycle for me between the two. Hard to explain, but I know you probably understand. Big, big hugs to you, my friend 🧡. Thank you for sharing
@@CraftedByChristyShop I do understand the difference in the grief cycle. My mom passed a year and a half ago to Alzheimer's and losing her was so different than the thought of losing my husband. For most of our lives, we expect our parents to pass before us, so when they do, it's terrible and the grief still hits you really hard, but losing your life partner is like having your heart ripped from your chest. Especially when it's so unexpected, as in your situation. I don't think there are enough hugs, kisses, and I love yous in the world to make up for that. I am so terribly sorry that happened to you. You are absolutely right in that God has blessed my husband and me by giving us this time together to do and say everything we need to before He takes my husband to Paradise. Thank you so much, Christy, for your kind, thoughtful words. It really means so much to me. Great big hugs to you, too, my friend. May you always be blessed.
I would LOVE having it so much in a journal! Don't worry about boo-boos! We all make them and it shows that hand made is special and made with the heart! Thank you for sharing this and your story! I loved your video; your little journals are precious and even your mistakes went perfectly in the journal. I loved hearing you talk about your husband; it blessed me so much. I lost my husband of 45 years last September , and I still cry over him many times a day; he made me laugh too, and I loved it. I thank the Lord all the time that He gave me a wonderful man who loved me so much for 45 years.. Thanks for the window to talk about good men, the sorrow of loss, and the comfort of remembering.
@mistywillowcottage oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. That's not long ago. Take your time with the grief, and as bad as it hurts,, just feel it. I know that sounds dumb, but I tried to run from my hurt for a long time afterwards. It found me anyway. It hurt deep in my soul. But, like I mentioned, I'm glad I had a love that hurts even to this day. Big hugs, love, and prayers for you😊❤️

Love these little books…I love all tiny things actually…lol! You have such a unique and creative style in your crafting. Thanks for your trips down memory lane (I loved your recommendations you gave to your hubby too on what to tell a future wife…had me laughing so hard). Your Sam sounds like he was a wonderful man and such a blessing in your life. I love your sewing machine holes you decided to use for making perforation lines to tear out pages too. I saw online an easy way to make the perforation lines easy too without a sewing machine. You take one of those sewing mark makers that’s a wheel with little teeth that protrude and it’s on a handle that makes it able to roll along. You can use it by placing your paper on a score board and running the wheel with these little metal teeth along in those score lines and it makes a great perforation line and you can press firm for easier to tear lines or gently for more just the look of like a postage stamp line of holes. I’ve tried it and it works beautifully. Happy Crafting! 😊
