Oh my gosh! Great idea using the white paper under the napkin and stamping too. They came out so awesome. The glue method is so much easier. I love them. Thanks for sharing.

Love these! Not boring at all, you have your own style, I like how you explore and your not afraid. Stay in your own way of thinking, you don't have to be like anyone else, be inspired by someone but putting your own spin on something is key. Absolutely love your work and videos, thank you ❤️.

That watercolor brush is a genius idea for napkin crafting. I get into decoupage and that will really come in handy 🖤

Christy, you are so fun to watch. And yes, those brushes are back@$$-wards as my mom would say. Everytime I take it to my hubby to take apart he looks at the threads and says well, this is left-hand threads. Makes no sense to me. The designer of them was left handed??? Maybe?? Drives me crazy and it is not a far drive! I never thought to stamp before I put down my napkins. Hoping you are doing well!

I love all the stamping you show us-I have a collection of stamps but don’t often think to use them. You inspire me to USE them! Thank you!

Hi Christy. I’ve never done this with glue stick so I’m going to try it. They all look great. Also you are not stupid just frustrated! it’s much more real to see the things as they happen. We all make small errors it’s what makes us human😆 love watching you !

Same thing happened to me when I try to open the brush. They do open backwards.

Hey Christy, I love the super matte finish of the napkins with no Mod Podge or medium on the surface! They almost look velvety!
Those Watercolor Brushes come from so many different brands, and they are all very similar in the way they work. They also come in lots of different sizes of round bristle points, and also in flat brush styles too.
They are all pretty much the same. However, some are made better than others and the better quality ones have better gaskets and features to prevent unwanted leaks. Some leak big drops of water out of the side of the furrule when you press on them. When this happens, it can ruin your painting because all of a sudden you might get a huge puddle of water on your paper when you didn't want it there.
Some only allow water to saturate the bristles. I have some cheap ones and some expensive ones, so I have tested out quite a few brands.
These kinds of brushes constantly saturate the bristles as you apply them to the substrate. The paper kind of pulls water through the bristles 'as needed' depending on the particular brush....(meaning some brands/types let more water through than others.)
As long as you don't press on them really hard, (unless you want lots of water) the cheap ones are "usually" ok. I like them if you need a lot of water mixed into the paint, but if you are trying to get strong or precise color, they dilute the paint too much (In my opinion) .
Anyway, I hope that helps someone.

All my water brushes have the lefthanded screw on them too. But I think it's supposed to be opposite. I love seeing this done with Glue stick! Thank you!❤

Love your style of art and your relaxed style of videos! Go with the flow 😊 You’re a bussssy lady posting daily. Wonderful ideas always!! Btw, Dollar tree sells those water brushes in their craft section… seen them for more than a year, a staple luckily unlike many items that come and go in days.

Never apologize for being awesome Christy, you are such an inspiration. Love love love napkin art, so easy to tuck into a busy day and you feel like you have crafted something pretty! I like to use my coarse nail file to 'cut' the napkin off the edge. I think Timmy has a sanding disc that goes on your ink handle. I keep all my 'distressing tools' in a clear pouch. Easy to find and put away. Gayle's tidy up as you go is rubbing off on me too! Love you Christy from Helen from NZ🐧

Hi Christy. Have you ever tried the iron method with napkins? I have it on my "to do" list. On your bird piece, just grunge it up a lot and tada, those other pieces you added will fade into the background. Add a little label too. Perfect then. 😁 Another suggestion: use your tag punch after you put the napkin on (let dry of course) then punch the top. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞

Yup, saw Ceri the crafter do this but he used a piece of cling wrap to smooth out the napkin. I just use my fingers.

I love using napkins this way… Did you try to use sanding paper to ‘cut off’ the napkin on the side? It works very well!

If you hold the brush upside down they won’t be backwards; but you might get a bit wet 😂
