      @@liamfernandeznahuel bro Tommy just
      took over Kamelot but The One who raised Kamelot was Roy Khan. :) This is reason why Tommy is most singing songs from old Albums like is Karma, Epica, Black Halo, Ghost Opera or Poetry for the Poisoned. BTW THE most listened songs are only from Roy Khan. I only said Roy is more Kamelot than Tommy thats all so you dont have to be mad.

    Somehow, I'm just listening to this for the first time now. Imo It's really cool that Kamelot and Epica both used the same motif for their releases, I love finding musical references/links to other songs when I'm listening to music.

    Why are the bonus tracks always so good... like the shadows, pendulous fall, this song...
    and for the ppl arguing about Roy vs tommy.. seriously, check out Roys younger live albums (when he was like tommys age now) such as the expedition, or conception live in Germany, and understand how vocal fatigue works, and realize Roy poured out his soul at every show for decades. Bottom line is they are both great singers, and I don't think anyone else would have been a better replacement. Be happy they can keep playing and delivering awesome vocals. And if you still think Roy isn't as good, you definitely haven't heard his live albums yet. Even one cold winters night is amazing and he's really fatigued for that one. But he delivers nonetheless. Sorry for lack of caps and punctuation, I'm on a touch screen.

    • @misterantonis1231
      @misterantonis1231 7 років тому +6

      Khan is by far my favorite vocalist of all time. His passion, his art, his poetry, his voice, his motions. Still, I kind of "don't want him" to return to Kamelot, as I absolutely love the direction they took with Tommy.

    • @CallingCrowe
      @CallingCrowe  7 років тому +4

      Roy is definitely my favourite vocalist of all time, but I think Tommy has done a great job.
      In fact, I think over time he's grown to be a better fit with Kamelot than Khan ever was.
      He really fit Conception better, but I feel as though he was always a raw contrast to both bands, and I feel he'd do best in a different project. We'll see, I suppose.

    • @misterantonis1231
      @misterantonis1231 7 років тому +4

      Allow me to disagree on that point, cause I believe that the vocal lines Khan had at conception never were a fit for the rest of the music and Khan's Kamelot was something out of this world. On the contrary, in fact, I believe that Tommy is a better fit for something like Conception, as we have seen and listened to his work with Seventh Wonder.

    • @CallingCrowe
      @CallingCrowe  10 років тому +39

      In that they both include half of a common motif in Baroque (although in different keys, with different notes)?
      This album came out almost two years ago, well before Epica's latest release, regardless.
      Doesn't matter, since Epica and Kamelot are bands that are very close buddies.
      I'm sure it was a deliberate thing, that this bonus song's keyboard intro be used as the album intro on their new one.
      Gives the two albums a sense of connection.
      I see them as both being bands that are creatively linked.

    • @lightsidemaster
      @lightsidemaster 10 років тому +21

      CallingCrowe Of course Epica and Kamelot are linked. After all the band Epica was founded in inspiration to Kamelot.
      That's why they called their band "Epica" which like you surely know is an album of Kamelot.
      On top of that Kamelot and Epica are even more close because Oliver Palotai and Simone Simons are a couple.
      So it kind of surprises me that they aren't collaborating even more with another.
      Imagine Kamelot and Epica going on a tour together. That would be so incredibly awesome!

    • @joakimnilsen5918

    • @Tuxita99
      @Tuxita99 8 років тому +5

      not quite, actually. because roy's voice wasnt fuller (it lacked support) he lost his voice, he pushed it too far. i honestly cant decide whose voice i like the most, but for sure that tommy can handle higher notes and key changes more effortlessly that khan did.
      allthough khan has that unique touch in his voice that one can explain, which makes him one of the best singers ever (and the fact that he studied opera lol)
      the new kamelot vibe is fantastic, and the bonus track to the album haven (the ties that bind) is perfection to me, cause it joins kamelot old-style and tommy's voice

That's why they need exclusive content so the japanese audience will get the national albums instead of the europeans. I suppose the distributors pay more for these bonus tracks so they can have them. Freaking economics :)
