Biesbosch - Last canoeing weekend of 2019

- Last weekend of 2019. Seven or eight years ago I visited the Biesbosch National Park with my canoe. Unfortunately I choose a wrong weekend: summertime, high season, holidays, sunny weather, high temperatures, …, and a lot more conditions that attracts a huge mob of people, all with different ideas of enjoying water recreation. Not the proper conditions for Kababoes. But I want to give it a second try, this time in a more quite period of the year. And because I knew a 'collegue YT paddler' (Udo from Boats & Canoes) was in this NP for the same weekend, we arranged a rendez vous.
His view of this weekend can be watched at • winter canoe trip : Du...
Enjoy.
Wow such a beautiful area!! love the picture at 13:14 - amazing- and your camera work is also amazing!! well done!!
Hans I have watched almost all of your videos and that was my favorite by far. That drone takes very good videos for having been underwater in Lake Okeechobee! I don't know what profession you were in but you should have been a motion picture director. Here's some other observations: Nice morning ceremony at 14:00, nice geese at 15:15 (Canada called and they want them back), at about 20:00 you have footage of the drone circling you as you narrate from off screen and I thought that was very cool looking, nice houseboat at 24:00 and I just spoke with that moron over at Canoeing The Edge Of The World and he said he liked it too, nice beaver marks at 24:40 (looks like some damned big beavers), nice pie at 26:30 but you should know that making apple pie using any fruit other than apples is considered "Un-American"....but since you're not American I forgive you, nice friends at 29:40, nice sunrise at 30:20 (looked cold), and finally very nice cows at 32:00. Sorry security made you leave the original campsite but if I came across you 3 rascals on my property I'd want you gone also! 😊 That guy Udo looked especially suspicious!!....Klaus seemed okay but the 3 of you definitely appear to be looking for trouble! Anyway, as mentioned I think that was your best production and I hope to do some canoeing with you guys one day.
Welcome back Hans! Always a pleasure to see your videos pop up in my feed! Looking forward to some trench cooking, tried chicken in sauerkraut soup in my mess kit....
Chicken in sauerkraut soup, hmm, sounds interessting.
Well, I've some ideas for cooking in the trenches, but there are some issues to solve at forehand.
I must subscribe - I rally enjoyed this!!
Thanks for sharing! Just subscribed.
Good mood and inspiration ...Thanks for the video. Dav
A little over half an hour of pure enjoyment. Great edit of your video, and beautiful birds view.
Above all a nice memory. Thanks for sharing. I’ll keep my eyes open for “ the Kababoes “ paddling/hiking in 2020 😄
Hey Udo I recognized the spot Hans paddled by as he came out of the reeds from your Biesbosch winter video. It's always nice to see a trip from 2 different perspectives. Joe Robinet and Doug Linker do that all the time with their videos and they have like a gazillion subscribers so I reckon other people like it too.
You can bring mr Robinet with you when you come over. As he can’t join you in Alligator territory.
He could learn from us more seasoned outdoor guys.
@@BCBoatsAndCanoes He doesn't communicate with me anymore since the alligator/Canadian jokes.
Tks Udo. That birds view ..., well, I'm very happy a (sub)marine from Florida drenched up my bird from the bottom of Lake Okeechobee, dried it in a hot Dutch Oven, recharched the battery and flew it back all the way to the Biesbosch. Unfortunately there was a little navigational error which resulted in a water landing again. For next time I've a water landing gear available.

Have subscribed to Boats and Canoes, Ha ha ha .....
Ha ha, don't mention my name Harry. CU
Thank you, changed my mind on the subscribers. Want to get to 100
Hallo Hans, was für ein tolles schönes Video wieder!
Eet Smakelijk
Grüße aus D,dorf
Hi there Hans. Well, that was really good. You did the right thing to return and experience it with less people. Beautiful! It's splendor shine through. I gotta say I really love your hug and salute to the sun there. I felt the spirit strong. They are still with us. Fascinating talk on the areas engineering and I reckon you got a better site being moved on. What a morning? Yeah, good this one. All the best for the week ahead. Mark
👍👍Brilliant Hans , always a joy to watch 👍👍👌now that was a proper cake👌
Tks mate. Baking cakes and pies is a joy. Eating them is more joy! Cheers
Groet Martin.
Inspiring video as always !
Long time no see. Nice to meet you.
My pleasure mate
Tks for comment.CU
Ahh top...
Hey a campsite with a socket! No need for the no-wind mill. Awesom mornings, sneaky camping - nice introduction to the biesbosch.
And finally caught out 😁
Splendid film man, like i was there too
Ha ha, no need for the no-wind mill indeed. Glad I gave the Biesbosch a second try. Will be more tries in future. If possible I'll keep you informed about that.
Caught out, yeah, there is a first time for everything. We made an agreement who will and will not choose spots in future.
@@Kababoes cheers, yeah seems like a nice bos the biessosch. Looks promising. Indeed not in the weekend and not in the summer.
@@spijkerpoes Check!
Mooie film weer Hans.
Bedankt.
Looking after the eco system by managing the tides 👍 a beautiful place for space. Beautiful shots 👍
A great job indeed, not only thinking about our own safety but also thinking about nature and everything that lives out there. Cheers bro
What a therapeutically pleasing film Hans, some nice editing as ever, your technology is impressive, next you will have radar, under floor heating and a kitchen sink in your canoe. Ha.. Thanks for sharing the experience, an inspiration that leads me to think that I should safe up and invest in a canoe at my semi retirement in three years time, here is hoping. Take care and have more adventure mate. All the very best. Harry
Haha, radar, sonar, heating, spa and sauna, electrical blanket, dishwasher, microwave, handsfree e-paddling system ..., don't bring me on ideas mate. Cheers
