All right About the Hotel in the Beginning of the video. The story is much more convoluted than he explained. That hotel is a story of Influence corruption and public outrage. The hotel is now private property and the city can't do much in fact about a year ago a permit was issued to have it demolished, which the public was against so then the permit was withdrawn. If I am to summarize it the private owner wants to develop a different property on that land. The public does not want the current building to go. The private owner does not want to renovate the current building. And he's making it look ugly To wear down the public

I hope you know that Moldova is the little sister of Romania and we are doing everything possible to return home in Romania Russia took Basarabia from us by force
I know many Romanians here in the US. Every single one of them is either an engineer or doctor, and all have multiple advanced educational degrees, including the doctors...😏
It's hard for unqualified workers from Romania to go work in the US because you need a visa from the US embassy. For high qualifications it's much easier. Illegal immigration from Romania to US is unlikely because they can go all over Europe legally already, so it'd be just a huge hassle, while also being much farther from home.

Like any other post Soviet countries, Moldova may not be as developed as the Western countries, but still the infrastructure seems good and the most notable part is that they are living without any complaints, which is very nice of them.
Romania helped a lot to improve the infrastructure. Many schools, important buildings, streets are built with Romanian funds, while Russophile propagandists try to destroy the relations between Romania and Moldova. I remember that a few years ago Romania donated a lot of fire engines, police, rescue vehicles and other material goods, and the former president Dodon kept the Romanians under a bridge, they didn't even let them enter the city. To understand what the Russians and Russophiles did.
The infrastructure is a disaster like in Ukraine, Ukraine has only fixed very little of it, but Moldova is small and with Romanian and EU money has started working on it. Very far from getting infrastructure, but maybe in about 3-4-5, 30% of the country will be rebuilt. They do trains too.
@@passioncla Most of the buildings were built during the rule of the Russian Empire and after the Second World War by the Soviet Union. The decline began after the collapse of the Soviet Union (more than 30 years of no real development, except for standard maintenance).
Hey Davud! I suspect the poorest countries in Europe and the smallest must be Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. There are also Albania, Bulgaria and, Romania, as well. I enjoy your videos and I find it amusing that you always blend in with the local population. And you always look good in the traditional attire of each country!😮
You are hugely mistaken about Bulgaria. In Europe, there are at least 10 countries with a lower standard of living than Bulgaria, according to the data of authoritative international institutions such as the UN, the World Bank and the IMF (GDP PPP per capita). Serbia, Belarus, Ukraine, Albania, Moldova, Georgia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia.
Such a stupid comment to make: "One of the poorest countries in Europe", a conclusion based only on the salary. The prices are also low, not only the salaries. Thus, you ll NEVER see as many homeless people there as in USA
I think everything is perspective. I didnt spot one lada on the roads of their capital, in stead all I see is modern cars, new buses, good maintained road. Sure Moldova has poverty, but I dont think the people in the capital are that poor as one wants to believe....
Moldova’s beauty starts as soon as soon as you leave Chisinau but only during warm periods. Chişinău is just another regional city in the ex USSR and the architecture is the same for such type of cities. Chişinău is a traffic congested city with awful infrastructure. If you want an authentic experience, you should look forward to agricultural tourism, wine tours. To make it more enjoyable, rent a convertible on a sunny day.

I've been on moldova 2 years ago. My restaurant check in Chisinau was 10 usd while in Ukraine (Kyiv) 30 usd. And such a cheap price of food was at great quality. Much better then Ukraine.
They work abroad in the western countries, most of moldavians have double citizenship, romanian-moldovian and thats why you see so many nice cars. :) . Their economy is based on those money that are invested in different forms.
😂 I'm too fat but I ate that desert in Romania of pancakes and it's much better than papanași. I would 5-6 portions. 😂 They should promote it more. Papanași are awesome with the cheese recipe (Transylvanian), which is different than fried.
You saw the prices in that restaurant, a tea was about 15 lei and that dessert about 20 lei (Romanian lei) so similar prices like in Romania but the average salary, if $400, is almost 3 times lower than in Romania.

"Fascinating look into life in the poorest country in Europe. It’s incredible to see the resilience and resourcefulness of the people living there. Thanks for shedding light on this important story and giving us a deeper understanding of their daily lives."
Republic of Moldova is not the poorest country in Europe!!!

So beautiful ❤
That train cart was used during Stalin's time to deport Moldovan civilians to Siberia in order to change the ethnic composition of the region. It's pretty much commemorating genocide.
It seems that the Central Asians and Azerbaijani were privileged...
Bloody excuse for the corruption u have there..!
@@RolandusLuzus I'm not excusing anything, I simply provided more context. Trust me nobody in Moldova is Excusing corruption.

This is a people deportation memorial that happened around 1952-54 while Moldova was part of USSR and been replaced by russians 26:00
Nicoline and Dima so cute and nice. 🥰
What amaze me is the cleanliness of the country, progresive country is not clean as that
progressive countries are no longer clean because they were invaded by many people who came from countries where cleanliness and discipline are not respected. Putin helped the invasion of these refugees with the idea of destroying the West and questioning progressivism. Democratic countries could have rejected these refugees, but Russia knows that a democratic country will never resort to criminal solutions.
Too much "wealthy" consumerism without adequate recycling industry and civilized habits and effort and without organization to clean the environment.
Bravo Nicolin! Smart kid!
Занятная прогулка, thank you so much 😁🤣🤣❤
Your video so impressive..
Hi Davud,
So great vlog again and that short chat with 2 Moldovian fellows were the true reality of tough life in a former Soviet country which is fed with corruption and where people are expected to pay a bribe to get a job. That's why they expect 5 years of work experience from an 18 years old young man.
I hope you know that Moldova is the little sister of Romania and we are doing everything possible to return home in Romania
Russia took Basarabia from us by force
Just rominian lies and propaganda, dear!!!
I know many Romanians here in the US. Every single one of them is either an engineer or doctor, and all have multiple advanced educational degrees, including the doctors...😏
In Europe not because them certificate is pretty much worthless here. Them working hard but most of them are uneducated over here.
@@Marc.Martain Wtf do you say?!!Certificatele romanesti sunt recunoscute in UE!Russians certificate are toilet paper!!!
It's hard for unqualified workers from Romania to go work in the US because you need a visa from the US embassy. For high qualifications it's much easier. Illegal immigration from Romania to US is unlikely because they can go all over Europe legally already, so it'd be just a huge hassle, while also being much farther from home.
@Check which is the 2nd most spoken language at Microsoft and you will understand who are the romanians
@@Marc.Martain Judging by your English, you're not one to talk about education.

What a beautiful country ❤️ clean and looks peaceful, MoldovaI will be on my to-go travel list 👍
Rather unfortunate that when a country is not expensive and doesn't pick the tourists pocket, people tend to regard it as poor!
Lovely weather yummy dessert what's more need Davud young blood hot topic he is excited and energetic too and your tongue slip 😅 it's really happening lovely 💓
Very amazing the COSMOS hotel! Similar to the contemporary architecture like FOSTER AND PARTNERS does around the world but smaller in scale, same organic shapes of facade panelling style! And they did it 50 years ago without using of CAD BIM software! Can u believe it!? Respect! ❤
Great video. Very impressive young man in the video is awesome.
35:00 these kids man.. :) the future looks a little brighter, right? :) Thank you so much for stopping and talking to them. Your videos bring hope to children who don't get to travel, who don't get to see the world; I hope these two will; I hope Romania will someday do more for our sister-country too..

I am a citizen of 🇲🇩 Moldova! And am very proud of it!!!! How dare you to come to a foreign country knowing some superficial facts and insult and disrespect this beautiful country??? You know, time changes, the government changes, and Moldova will become powerful again! Just go and care your own country, am pretty sure you have plenty of local problems to resolve! As they say, you just ignore the beam in your own eye!
😂😂😂😂😂 what the hell did you watch😊
U can say whatever u want. Your country being poorest in Europe won’t change.
It doesn't look like the poorest country in Europe at all in fact it looks like London
London can only dream of reaching this level of safety and cleanliness
London is rich in same places and dumpster in another but safety is a problem everywhere sadly
@@georgenicolas2297 "Yeah, we just have this tiny problem where out children keep getting stabbed on the street, but other than that it's a great place!"
😂😂
That's because the EU still gives them money towards infrastructure. to all the people talking bad about London id like to see Moldova stop taking everyone elses money and start generating their own.... you'll see it turn to the third world country they really are within a decade back to dirt roads.
Another wonderful, insightful & educational channel of @baldandbankrupt not to be missed on many Western European Countries.
Davud, Awesome video as always💪🏻. Stay dry there. Here in Florida it’s rainy season and it looks like my house will float away 😂 Just kidding bro. Great vlog 👍

Hello David love your videos ❤
Every country have poverty. It's not good, but if people are happy then people can survive.
Guys are very cool and patriotic !
Such a nice video my friend
All the best forever
I just wander how people call countries which are in war and partialy occupied as Moldova since 1992 poor...No, there are not poor ..they are attacked and partialy occupied as Transistria..Nobody invest in such countreis ,everybody runs from there..Moldova is not poor but under presure of big enemy
Attacked by who...I never heard that it's fight going on in moldova 😂
BabUshka is relaxing 😂👍🏻
I was backpacking for two days in Moldova a few years ago, and it was long enough for me to notice that they are generally good people.
Just lies and information war to destroy Republic of Moldova!!!
OK,next time😊

We visited Kishinev mid of September and visited same place as shown in this video. Even La Plachinta server was the same nice lady. The desert you order I had it 3 times during our trip. We stayed at the hotel Bristol and upgrade to the best room was 10 evro per night. So the room was close to 100 dollars per night. It was not as good as yours, but the location and view from the 11th floor was awesome.
I hope you will come to America too one day!
Davud, you should visit Georgia next.
Always your new vedyo,thankyou sir❤❤❤❤
Ukraine is the poorest. Cost of life in Moldova is close to double compared to Ukraine. Do not look at GDP, it is a small country
Spot on, but don’t let that get in the way of a clickbait title
I've been on moldova 2 years ago. My restaurant check in Chisinau was 10 usd while in Ukraine (Kyiv) 30 usd. And such a cheap price of food was at great quality. Much better then Ukraine.
Moldova was the poorest country in europe before the war...
CHISINAU the very beautiful city
They work abroad in the western countries, most of moldavians have double citizenship, romanian-moldovian and thats why you see so many nice cars. :) . Their economy is based on those money that are invested in different forms.
😂 I'm too fat but I ate that desert in Romania of pancakes and it's much better than papanași. I would 5-6 portions. 😂 They should promote it more. Papanași are awesome with the cheese recipe (Transylvanian), which is different than fried.

Cred că este un desert minunat "cușma lui guguță". Nu am gustat niciodată. Arată super bun acest desert.
Se gaseste si la noi, dar nu stiu decat in Bucuresti sa fie restaurante La Placinte.
The very reason Moldova is in this situation is Russia. If they were left with us, part of Romania- they’d be fine now. But it’s not their fault.
you talk like Romania is some advanced first world country and not EU shithole backyard
you say the salarty is 400 dollars, but you should also go to a grocery store and show some prices.
You saw the prices in that restaurant, a tea was about 15 lei and that dessert about 20 lei (Romanian lei) so similar prices like in Romania but the average salary, if $400, is almost 3 times lower than in Romania.
The average salary in Moldova is $750. The information about $400 was given by these guys on the street, but they even don't work.
