    It's so refreshing to be able to scroll down to a Kristen video and seeing really positive comments instead of super nasty/horrible comments like for the past 6 years. ;)

      Haters gonna hate...lol. But you're right, there's definitely been a shift in the public perception of her, and she's grown into such great and powerful actress, that even when some douche DOES troll in the comments, you can't even take them seriously anymore

    • @Tikv-ht5bx
      @Tikv-ht5bx 8 років тому +2

      +c dean not really.. shes just not relevant anymore so people dont comment her. She is still actress who can literally only act 1 emotion in every movie.
      Shes still riding her Twilight fame.
      Its not trolling or hating, its reality.

    • @MsRaconteur
      @MsRaconteur 8 років тому +37

      Marko Faslig LOL. You do realize she's gotten a ton of critical acclaim for critics the past two years, right? And she was the first American actress to win a Cesar award, which is much harder to get then an Oscar because there is no Harvey Weinstein to just buy one for you. It's 100% based on talent. Also, if you think that she isn't "relevant" anymore, you should check out the tabloids. They still have not left her anymore. Of course that's only if someone's "relevancy" is based on how much harassment they get from the papparazzi on a daily basis. She's working with some of the best directors today. Just because she's choosing not to do stupid blockbusters that people send her the scripts for, doesn't mean she isn't relevant. But thanks for trying.

    • @MsRaconteur

      Frances Margaret Rebollido tbh I don't think it's about her blooming. I think she's always been very smart and I've always admired her indie films, but I think people are finally letting go of this media perception of her and giving her a chance. They're actually paying attention instead of just seeing what they want to see like before.

    Perhaps her most articulate interview, not just in word choice, but in the way she combines and manipulates words, phrases and syntax, to get her point across.

      I'm not sold yet. Ten seconds in and she's already confused "reserved" with "reposed". Or did she mean "composed". It's sort of along the lines of Sarah Palin's "refudiated".

      I know this was an old comment, but I've taken the Myers briggs personality test and got INTP (the I is for Introverted). It also said it was the same personality as Kristen Stewart. I think they were spot on because she speaks win the same mannerisms and similar idea flow. I 've personally only spoke as articulately as her when I was comfortable in the situation and passionate about the topic at hand. It's creepy how much of me I hear in her voice. The obstacles she has faced are more than I have had, and she's maneuvered them with flying colors! There's a place for all of us in this world, so be yourself and you'll fit right in.

      I disagree. I think they had a nice conversation. ALso, the "interviewerer" is an executive editor at Vanity Fair so she is clearly smart as well. Some may be flippant about that since its just a fashion magazine, but it's one of the most popular ones, and rising in rank there must require intelligence and a savvy business mind. I thought they both did well in this exchange.

    she is a extremely intelligent woman that feels so much emotion and finds it hard to push it down and be fake like most interviewers and all the hollywood crap. • @mila.inthewoods

    Kristen, I don't know if you'll ever see this comment but I want you to know how I understand what you're saying in this interview. It's so hard for celebrities, and people in general, to be completely honest with themselves AND to the people around us. I don't like being my true self and opening up to people who give "stupid interviews" aka waste my time. It makes so much sense, what you're saying, because we, your fans &most of the world, don't truly know you. If we got to know you, I'm sure we'd all see what an awesome person you are (I already see that, but I'm talking about the trolls who think you never smile). I can see how difficult it is to constantly be smiling in front of cameras, and for what reason? For a pretty picture? For a gossip-y magazine article? I wouldn't be smiling either. In my opinion, those to me personally would not be ME smiling, it would be a pretentious version of me smiling.
    That's the same thing with selfies. Who are we smiling at while we stare at ourselves in our phones? WHY are we smiling in that moment of taking the selfie? Because we're genuinely happy, or because we want to look cute/sexy/good for the camera to get more likes? Your role in Equals was so so so amazing. Those little minuscule expressions of happiness, being in love, and amazement at the world around you as your character was experiencing it "for the first time" was a pure joy to watch.
    I just want you to know that I think it's cool you're not on social media and keep your life private. You honestly seem like a person I could personally have a conversation with and "click" with.

    i completely understand the over sharing thing. when your mind never stops and every thought is jamming against the other in a never ending current , until you are not even sure who you true are. all you want is to find that moment of quiet. to shed everything off and just *be*. to stand there in front of someone being something and nothing at the same time. it's a feeling of constant incompleteness yet i don't think anyone feeling like this would agree to silence it for good

    I can understand her feeling about being in situations where you must do something which you dont feel to be the thing you want to do...which feels wrong to you. you have to wear a mask...have to force you to function. I also must talk about whats going on in my brain...specially if im in a bad mood and its very hard if you cant because you have to play a role in some situations... to play a role...instead of talking the truth.
    I really like her...if she would not be a star I really would like to meet her as a friend.

    I really hated Twilight: the books and the movies. And my dislike of the movies made me dislike both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart - just for playing emotionless, badly written characters. But they're both wonderful people. Robert is so witty; he has a sharp tongue, and he's so casual. The same with Kristen. She's so articulate and laid-back and awesome. I feel so bad for hating on them for so long, just because of Twilight. ):

      Debbie Baum I actually quite liked Twilight at first, which is why I enjoyed the movies. Upon growing up and re-reading them, I grew to dislike them immensely because of certain messages they projected, and it was the same with re-watching the movies. I admit to it because it was just how it happened- it's really not that strange.
      And I have seen some of her other movies. She was pretty bad in Snow White, but she was great in Speak. Have a nice day.

      Glad you managed 2 more out of 30.✌
      I would recommend Welcome to the Riley's, with the late, great James Gandolfini. Of, course Still Alice & Clouds of Sils Maria....Kristen won the French Cesar for her role. It was mentioned in the interview.
      Enjoy! ✌✌

      +foofi Kristen is awesome, she's amazingly grounded and smart for a former child actor and to have had that crazy fame at 17. Rpattz sucks as an actor and i cannot respect him for dissing the people who made him a millionaire.

    It is such an honour to watch Kristen Stewart talk about emotion. Feeling any kind of emotion is what makes us alive. No matter what emotion it's important to feel it and to process it, transmute it and heal it (should it be negative). Emotion is so powerful. Thank-you Kristen for being so open and vulnerable.

    This was a really great interview with great questions and amazing responses. ButI think interviews should be more like conversations instead of a question and answer type of thing. It'd be great if the interviewer could ask the guest (aka Kristen in this case) questions and RESPOND to her response, not just a few sentences here and there. It seems to me that Kristen is spilling all her beauty out onto the table and the interviewer is taking it for granted. It seems alienating. Being a celebrity seems so.....strange and alienating. If I was famous, I wouldn't want to be in the spotlight. I'd want to be like Haruki Murakami and keep to myself and not get engrossed in all this stuff and just do and enjoy my work.
