The googans as just like 5 guys from UA-cam. They released the line of fishing baits like 3 years ago because one of them had a contact in the manufacturing industry. They’re cool. They just wanted to do fishing their way after traveling to Japan and Brazil repeatedly . Brazil they fished the Amazon for two weeks, hooking various giants. Japan they learned how to patient and control what they do on the famous Lake Biwa. They also know most of waters from Maine to California. They combined a lot of experiences to create the bait line. It’s tough but really easy to control. It doesn’t break that bad either as fish bite down.

Not all employers in the US offer their employees healthcare. The larger companies do because they can get better rates than smaller employers with fewer employees. When you are looking for jobs it is always a good idea to weed out those that do not offer. My husband was an employee of the State of California through the State University here in our city and we have phenomenal healthcare. My employer, a dentist, did not offer healthcare. So we use my husbands plan.

My father, brother, and uncle like to hire a fishing guide for their family fishibg trips.
A fishing guide has a boat and all the gear. He will know the lake (or ocean) very well and take you to the places the fish are biting.

Fishing is definitely big in America. Less so with younger generations, but definitely still big. Any Walmart will have entery level fishing gear, and Walmart is everywhere here. I think you can still get a fishing license there too. So it's pretty easy to get into. The license is to regulate fishing and fund the conservation of the fish to make sure the ecosystem isn't impacted too much. So there are rules about how big the fish needs to be and how many of each kind are you aloud to catch. That stuff changes from state to state because each ecosystem is different. I've never gone ice fishing but there is a die hard group that do that too. Some have tiny shacks that they put on the ice and drill through on the inside so they don't have to fish in the cold. It's pretty neat.

ice fishing is an excuse to be outside and drink beer lol. sometimes the fish are somewhat secondary, but the whole thing is fun. the tricky bit is checking the depth of lake freeze to know if you can drive your truck up to the shore or onto the ice--which needs to be decided BEFORE the beer is opened. LOL

Cabela's is the hunting version of Bass Pro shop, although Bass Pro bought theM out or merged with them in 2016. They are both impressive stores. Cabela’s stores have wildlife displays of animals from around the world and many also have indoor archery ranges and shooting galleries where customers can try out equipment before making a purchase. Some of the Bass Pro have bowling ally as well as the aquarium.

My closest Bass Pro has a shooting gallery and indoor archery as well. You can try out the bows and decide what you want to buy. The shooting gallery is fun too.

Most have a little of All outdoor activities! Im in Florida, so it’s almost an even mix of fresh and salt water fishing equipment. I’m there for fishing equipment and firearms/ ammo lol and that’s getting components and machines to reload my own ammo.
Also my friend, you upload to the greatest tool for self learning! Learn to fish your local area, you can go yourself!

Most pay social security to earn credits for Medicare when you retire…Medicare is health and most get a supplement to cover teeth and eyes.. while working each company provides health insurance in which the company and employee each pay a portion . It’s a benefit, like overtime pay after 40 hours etc

The last Bass Pro Shop I went in was the Pyramid in Memphis with my Mother in Law. I'm not a big outdoors person. For one, I'm pale as a ghost, and get hives when I get too much sun. Plus, I'm a mosquito magnet, no matter what I try. But it is fun to wander around and "window shop" (shopping without buying, if you don't know the term).

    • @Cookie-K
      @Cookie-K 14 днів тому +1

Same here. I get sun burned very quickly, I am allergic to many things outside, mosquitoes think I am a buffet and I am also clumsy. So as it is fun to look around in the store it would be dangerous to others and myself to actually hunt and fish. 😂

Grew up fishing in Michigan (surrounded by the Great Lakes) but we never caught bass. Blue gill and sunfish are much better, and all you need is a cheap bobber, a 5 foot piece of bamboo 10 feet of string and worms.

  • @yugioht42

In Florida you don’t really have mountains at all actually none. We have tons of fishing stuff though. It’s because we’re surrounded by lakes and the ocean. We do have hunting stuff just it’s not as prominent. The only big game we have are deer but only during certain months. Mostly we fish marlin, mahi, maybe the occasional grouper, shark sometimes, bass for fun, just whatever looks good. We occasionally get a swordfish but only as photo.

I live in Virginia. A lot of men in my family fish regularly. They rent boats or fish from the pier @ Virginia Beach. I know some deer hunters too. We went to the Bass Pro near our house (Ashland, Va) for dinner. The aquariums were amazing!

We are on Lake Michigan. Our Bass Pro has a restaurant that specializes in seafood and boats and campers for sale indoors too. It;s possibly bigger than the Sam's Club and Costco here. One wall of the salt water section is a giant saltwater reef aquarium. It's beautiful.

My papa used to take us fishing, not fresh water but on the inlet. Happiest memories when we didn't catch a thing and bought French fries as a snack and just so happy to be together, no need to talk, just positive, smiles and fun back in the 1970s!!

    • @LSFA-KrissyL16

the 70s and early 80s were a great time to be a kid. before everyone was coated in antibacterial everything and anything with even slight corners was padded lol. my generation fell off monkey bars onto straight concrete (or the ground or wood chips if you were lucky lol), ran around with open scrapes and cuts filled with gravel and dirt, threw javelin darts and rode pogo sticks, broke arms and randomly got stitches after thinking we could Evel Knievel our bikes off a plank from the garage, and for the most part we were just fine. I had hay fever and other allergies but I never had infections. my body was too used to being dragged through germs everyday. they didnt stand a chance lol. and if you didnt have a bike you walked everywhere so our feet are tough and we dont wear out quickly lol. (well, once you pass 45 that starts to change--but we still THINK we can go as hard as we used to LOL.) sitting inside with video games, if you were lucky enough to have any, was something you got to do if it rained too hard or was 0°F or below outside. the most shocking thing to me was the first time I saw two kids having a text convo while sitting right next to each other on the same sofa, one of them complaining about not getting a ride to a 7-11 that was only two blocks away. my mother would have thought I'd lost my mind if I expected someone to drive me 2 blocks anywhere unless it was to the hospital LOL.

nah, if you want to see how crazy Bass Pro can get with its range of stuff, Vegas isnt the store to visit. It's in the desert lol. and you have to drive a little to get to your fishing spots. A Bass Pro near any good stock lake or pond will always be a lot bigger. Here in Iowa ours tend to be huge cause we fish (all year, ice too), hunt, camp, shoot clay, do a ton in the snow, and quite a bit of boating May-October (if ice wasnt solid we'd prob boat all winter too lol). The more types of outdoor sports in your area, generally the bigger the store. Those in the south with a lot more saltwater/ocean fishing, creek angling and reef diving usually are pretty massive too depending on the town they're in.

Most companies offer insurance of some kind. Some only offer insurance to full-time workers. Now, more companies are offering insurance to part-timeers, too, but that can take a chunk of your pay. This man already has retirement income and social security, so he takes the insurance also from Bass Pro to suppliment his Medicare (state insurance for the elders). Medicare doesn't cover the complete cost of medical or prescriptions.
I'm almost to the age I can retire. But I only work part-time. I could take the companies insurance, but it would greatly lower my income. I qualify for Medicaid (state insurance), which mine comes with dental. I dont get vision insurance, but i live in a town with an optometry school, so I get vision checkups there. If something serious happens with eyes, the state Medicaid pays for treatment.

My brother has a crossbow. "For hunting" wink wink, America
In New York fishing is huge, because our Finger Lakes freeze we have ice fishing as well as fishing in rivers and creeks plus Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. I have not been in our local Bass Pro but it's probably a balanced mix because we are a fishing and hunting equally area in New York. With all the forests both private and state parks.
Full Time you get healthcare at ANY job, that's federal mandate, which is why most stores have mainly part-time so they don't have to give them benefits.
Bass Pro hires veterans before anyone else, they even have it on a sign out front of every store.

Fishing is an easy way to connect to nature. We are so removed from nature these days that we forget how connected we actually are. It's good for the soul.
