    Even with shakey cam, this is probably the best review of all time. I've had mine on order for a while and I keep seeing AMD unit reviews, and issues with overheating and other gripes. Given the watercooled component of the Intel series I thought this WOULD perform better, I'm SO glad you did this down to earth, no bullshit review.
    I feel most reviews I've watched are either, like you said, sponsored, or from hardcore enthusiasts buying the cheapest prebuild to get a RTX30- series and are expecting high custom build results. I like you am a 30 year old with a life outside of PC building, so I appreciate your review and your candour. And I'm subscribing against your wishes because you damn well deserve it. Look forward to your next video notification in 10 years...

    Just picked up the AMD variant with a 3080 and you have posted the most in depth & most refreshing review available!!! Reviews from people with careers, a life and minimal time to post a review are rare. That last line "Don't bother subscribing or anything I'm probably never gonna post another video" had me cracking up. I gave you a thumbs up since I know you don't give a shoot! Thanks for this.....

    This was a fantastic and honest review that hit everything I was hoping a review would cover. Not only was it honest, but the machine being reviewed also wasn't sent for the purpose of a review (which could be higher quality since they know it's being scrutinized/advertised). All and all this was a refreshing review.

    This is a legit decent price for a well build computer. I loved my 2019 HP Omen, and it was my first pre-build after a while. It was also a gateway to getting back into the PC building again. Great video!

    • @unthusiastreview4450
      @unthusiastreview4450  3 роки тому +2

      Yea, I think most of the thermal issues are the air cooled AMD builds (which would make sense). I personally would like it to be even cooler, but I haven't seen anything dangerously high like some people had reported with those builds. Nice thing is, if you want to upgrade the case in the future - that's a cheap upgrade. The real benefit of this build is the cost for the parts. I priced it out on pcpartpicker and found that I paid less for my build than I would have if I tried to build a comparable piecemeal system.

    Good review, I just bought on of these the other day for Boing Day. $400 off. Specs are a i7-11700k, 16 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz HyperX RAM, 1 TB M.2 PCIe NVME SSD, and an RTX 3070. I wanted to build my own but the GPU market is crazy right now. Can't get any midrange GPU, and local computer shops for me have multiple month backorders. Only GPU's on the shelf are low-tier 1660's and insane RTX 3080's. Didn't want to wait months so yeah. So far so good. Wish they would have put some liquid cooler for the CPU, but apart from that I think HP made a good system here. Runs Witcher 3 at 1440p max settings no problems. Only occasionally some fans will kick in but then they go back down. In a few years time when PC parts become normalized would be willing to build my own again, one can hope :)

    I have one of these and have had a similar experience. The only thing I would say is that if you do want to overclock it, you may want to invest in another fan for the AIO. The stock one works, but gets really loud. With a new fan, it's reasonably quiet and runs in the high 70's/low 80's at 4.9 all-core with the 10600k

    This is probably the right build for OMEN 30L. The quality is great and the cooling works. I would issue a big warning to people buying 10700k and above intel processors. For this the cooling system is not good enough, and there is almost nothing you can do short of a case swap. Anything above this spec I would recommend Levovo Legion T7.

I know you can change the AIO but I don't really feal comfortable doing that as it will void the warranty and I don't really want to remove everything from the case to do that. I know you can add fans and that's basically all I want to do, do you think it will be enough? Will it last long with the stock components and no OC or messing with the BIOS?

    • @unthusiastreview4450
      @unthusiastreview4450  3 роки тому

      No and no. If you have fan noise, depending on the sound, it could be a dusty fan or it could be coil whine from your GPU. For crashing apps, that typically isn't a hardware issue unless something like memory or your GPU has corrupted way too early. I would look to driver update issues or shoddy software before blaming the hardware.
