Great comment on school safety! I taught German and English for 47 years mostly in Pennsylvania public schools- and I am an avid shooter. I used to keep copies of shooting and outdoor magazines as extra credit opportunities on my desk for kids who were not into literature. This created a sense of community which helped them a lot. Summarizing articles from Guns and Ammo was a lot better than not reading or writing at all. Families need access to real mental health facilities and we need better school security. Banning guns is merely a power grab, nothing more.

Thanks for your insights Hickok. In Canada they have a hand gun "freeze" that is in effect a ban. This was all brought in quickly after the tragedy in Texas.
Politicians do what their constituents want, sometimes. We need the public to emphasize the hardening of our schools. I've been a gaurdian while my youngest was still in grade school, unarmed of course, but still present one day of each week. Laws need to get more aggressive towards the use of firearms to protect our students. Thank You very much Hickok and John.

I'm 61 years old and growing up in Australia, kids (and later adults) would tease and harrass until you reached breaking point. You either changed schools or you'd lash out and they'd learn to stay away from you (as bullies are usually cowards). As a result, I have a very thick skin, and always lived by the motto, 'Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt me'. If someone was bullying me nowadays on 'Social media', I would just block them. Love watching you in those really old videos. I was trying to find your first one on UA-cam. You can't please everyone, and there will always be trolls. Keep up the good work and I'll continue to watch Hickok45 for many years. Ray

But the main reason for my comment was to say I'm so glad you did that interview. We need more people like you talking with someone in the mainstream with some common sense and talking calmly unlike some other gun tuber that Tucker interviews that I won't mention. We need more people like you out there so people can see gun owners have a soul and aren't heartless people.
Or just let the teachers and other staff carry like at the park. Just the fact that "it's a gun-free zone" makes it a very scary place to visit or have to work in such an environment.
