Currently (03/06/2024) this method does not work, it follows exactly what is explained in the video and the error CE-33729-4 persists. If anyone has a new solution, please comment.

i was trying to find a payload for liunx and i tried an app called ps4 payload v1.0.6 i saw a payload called debug clock but im not sure what does this do but all i know that this payload was for 6.72 fw and its work for 9.0 as well if usend it to the console u will see a msg pop up if uk how does this work lemme know

@@MirzaKhalid It won't work like that as long as the cmos battery is dead. You won't be able to set the time and date permanently. It's not permanent. Just forget that and play your games as usual without going to time and date settings.
Thank you so much! You saved my 6.72 firmware from requiring an update. This saved my system that I just spent hours cleaning out and redoing all the thermal pads, upgrading HDD, etc. I replaced my CMOS battery without knowing it'd cause my system to suicide.
I'd be totally clueless without this tutorial. Would probably take days just to figure out how to use it. Next time I either swap while plugged in, or, I will clamp in external phantom power with a CR2032 battery holder and some alligator clips that I already have to make sure I don't accidentally power the system on while I swap the old battery. I will also use name-brand premium batteries so it'll last as long as possible, not worth cheaping out on at all as knockoffs have worse self-discharge.
After you made this fix, did u reverse the changes u made on the debug settings?

Update: I fixed it. The problem was I added custom DNS addresses to block auto updates. After removing or connecting through an easy setup I was able to sync the time.

Hello, I have a ps4 slim console. The date and time settings are messed up when the AC power is cut off. I changed the coms battery and it didn't change. Please tell me what I should do 😢

Wonderful. Just what i was looking for. But i have a doubt. Since we are removing the dns (used for blocking connection to Sony servers), even though the firmware remains on 9.00, will this ps4 be flagged by Sony and become a banned console?

I have the same problem. So if I go back to NP network (instead sp-int), the clock will be reset to 1970?
I checked this and after change for np, the clock stayed with actually time :-)

I love to play World war z but my PS4 got cbomb issue whenever I try to play this game i had to set clock time and delete old savedata. So each time I have to create new save but today you brought the fix

@@raizen0065,intentalo ya que los host tienen la capacidad de bloquear las actualizaciones de la consola al utilizar sus DNS, para ello debes utilizar los DNS de manera automatica

yes but if you unplug your ps4 from the power outlet and replug after a few min the date back to 1970. (i have replaced CMOS Battery)

it MiGHt might be fixed for the latest firmwares but not for anything below 9.00 i insure if anyone has tried to offline launch a game after removing and replacing the cmos battery on firmwares after 9.00 without syncing to sony's server please reply to me with the result.

@@el3asheq105 it's not the restarting dude, the date and time resets after power is cut. Try removing power from your ps4 for 10 seconds and then see. That's what the issue is.

This doesn't work where we use dns for block connect to psn :(
remove the dns first, then set it with my method, then reenable dns. It will stay synced at that point.
